President hotel is a nice hotel, comfortable beds, nice rooms, clean, good service. It's location is good also. Breakfast nice with good variety, however dining options are not sufficient , as there is only one cafe-restaurant at the lobby with not much of variety for dining options. Room service is very good and personnel very helpful and kind.

Good quality for the price! The hotel is pretty good and you can feel the remnants of the Soviet era. The breakfast is full of options with a nice view. The hotel is located near the centre of the city. I recommend if you are on a budget.

I attended a work related conference at the hotel a couple of weeks ago. The hotel is situated on a hill with a walking distance to good restaurants and bars in Kiev. The hotel gives you a bit of a feeling from the old Soviet Union period which I found interesting. Many of the staff speaks good English and the check in was very efficient and quick. The room I had on the 6th floor was not particular large but suited me well. The mattress was very comfy and the bathroom was very well organized and with a good size. Unfortunately no kettle / coffee / tea arrangement which was something I missed during my stay. The room service was very effective and so was the laundry service. The breakfast was in my opinion good and tasty and with an excellent selection of fresh fruit. I also thing the lunch service was good with a good selection of various options. No coffee during the lunch service which was something I missed. The hotel have a gym with ok equipment and the lobby bar offers cakes and coffee in addition to various types of beverages. One thing I did not like so much was the “constant bombardment” of hotel type of music. In the restaurant during breakfast, in the lobby 24/7, in the elevator etc. I am not a big fan this type of music and during the workshop when we had informal meetings in the lobby, we had to ask the staff to turn it down as it was simply too loud. I would look into this if I was the hotel’s management. All in all, I did enjoy my stay at the hotel and I am sure that I will choose the Presidency hotel next time I visit the beautiful city Kiev.

Rooms are big and fine, but sine it s a old hotel made during the Soviet Era, it still have feel every where. Major was big rooms, and separation with small balcony view to look around. rooms was silent but only issue I faced was with the non availability of universal power sockets in the rooms. so in case you are planning, I recommend it to carry it with you. Also missing fro the list is tea maker, it was better to have a tea maker in the rooms instead asking you guest to rely only on coffee machine kept in side the rooms. Staff co operation is awesome and great, though it kind of bit difficult to speak in English, but they are very helpful to make sure the things are going fine. Restaurant is also fine to enjoy.

This is a large hotel with good facilities. Reception staff are quick, efficient and friendly. The hotel was busy with a wide range of visitors, tourists, sports teams and business visitors. The hotel is situated on a bit of a hill and there are official taxis outside. I would recommend using these as my colleague and I were taken for a bit of a mystery tour to find a restaurant and ended up about 25 metres from where he picked us up. Luckily my colleague spoke Russian and was able to get around the language issue. However, back to the hotel. Breakfast was pretty good, to be honest better than I was expecting, the room was clean and spacious and although my room had a balcony (small) it did have a distinct downward slant, so I avoided using it. There was not much of a view to enjoy to be honest. All in all if you are looking for a quality hotel in a quieter area you will be fine here. A word of warning, however, there was definite evidence of girls who were obviously not guests hanging around the bar and public areas.

I had to stay in this hotel for 2 weeks. Noticed that breakfast was very simple. No bacon, etc. Rooms were cleaned when I put on a notice in the door. But overview was nice. No ironing board in the room. Simple, mostly clean, quiet, not 4-star, but good 3-star hotel! Easy to go to centre of the city.

When we arrived at the front of this hotel because of old and pretty ugly exterior - just said uhhh what a mistake! But, fortunately that is the only "bad" moment here. Reception is just nearby the entranxe, easy acceptanle, always ready to help (concierge too). Rooms nice, clean, view on the bulidinga around centre. Restaurant positioned well, easy to approach, all meals regular-nothing bed - nothing special. Many meetimg rooms, equiped fully. Near meeting rooms is night club so if you like it go for it :-) also one floor club is small swimming pool,sauna... 10 min from hotel is sport hall shopping centre Gulliver and centre itself is little bit further. Conclusion-nice play to stay-enjoy!

Nice breakfast, clean and silent rooms with enough confort. İt was pleasent for us, a group of businessmen, to stay there. İt close to market places and shopping areas. Next time, i plan to be there...

The President Hotel in Kiev is an experience. It certainly maintains a Soviet-style ambience - almost like being on the set of Goodbye Lenin. In reality though, the staff become friendlier the longer you stay and you adapt to the President Hotel's own particular rhythm. I love the central ironing room with ironing boards and irons for communal use. It is cost-effective and we can all share on iron and an ironing board. The beds are straight forward - hard mattresses, hard pillows, harsh bed linen but it is a bed, a mattress and a pillow. Some of the rooms are spacious and nice - especially the Junior Suites. The others are on the small side with almost no room to move beyond the bed. I was there just a year ago and the quality had deteriorated in that time - the carpets are grubby and stained, the rooms look like they need a great scrub. And the no smoking signs definitely need to be written in Turkish. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and mixed. For those who like meat and chicken and salad at breakfast, knock yourself out. For those who like great bread, excellent coffee or tea, with good cheese, jam and granola, this is not the breakfast for you. However, their cream cheese with raisins is terrific. The luncheon menus for a conference buffet are really very good indeed. The meeting rooms are good and the technical support is really first rate. This would not be my first choice as a private holiday maker. It is perfectly suitable as a conference venue.

Big hotel- I got lost a couple of times on the wrong floors. Reception area big too and open , but a bit lacking in character. Rooms smallish ,comfortable and quiet with small balconies. Overall clean. Food for our group very varied and delicious with incredibly attentive staff. The fruit choice and taste was as good as any hotel I have been in and better than any at home in the uk. Small gym, not all machines working.
