Staff would not take care of problems and would not even give me the name of the manager so that I could contact him or her. Water was not hot. Tissue box empty. Bathroom light not working.

It is close to everything that I need! The food is great!

Serves every need of clients! I was always comfortable in my room!

The hotel was very good. They provided laundry service, a nice free breakfast every morning, and money exchange. There was a problem getting a taxi ordered, but the manager apologized and then gave me a free taxi ride back to the airport when I departed Kiev. I was very glad to see that she took care of the problem. No one is perfect, but it is good when people acknowledge mistakes and compensate the customer for the trouble caused. I really appreciate that! I highly recommend this hotel. It was a clean, comfortable room.

Location is great, no doubt. Center of the city, walking is easy (if it's not snowing of course). The room it self is super small and if you have two suitcases be prepared to jump over them when you need to get out of the room or vise-versa. If you get a king bed, it's not actually a true king, it's two twin mattresses jammed together, and you do feel the difference. Breakfast, which is included, is pretty decent with lots of food choices. I can recommend this hotel for location only, standard rooms that this site sells are way to small for a Western traveler.

The hotel was better then I expected. They had very friendly staff and most all of them spoke English well. They were very helpful with any questions I had and provided a high level of service. The breakfast was buffet style so there is something for everybody and a lot of different choices of stuff to eat. The hotel prices for lunch and dinner weren't bad the food was good. The bar doesn't have much of a selection for beer though. Only 3 brands. Tuberg isn't bad and Carlsberg is ok but I don't care for Corona. I don't drink mixed drinks or hard stuff so can't comment on it. They had excellent Security at the hotel and the room had it's own mini safe. I left stuff out like my laptop computer and camera and it wasn't touched when the room was cleaned. The WI-Fi didn't work in the room and was super slow. Also the water out of the tap had a yellow tint to it when you filled the tub but they provide free bottled water for drinking. Other then those two things the hotel was a good value for the money considering hotel proces in the Ukraine. The hotel is a short walk from the city center and there is a TGIF Fridays close by, I would definately stay there again if I go to Kiev. The Room was small but really comfortable.

The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. I find the hotel to be very clean and the large complementary breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices. Something for everyone. All in all a great place to stay and good value as well. I would stay here again.

I liked better than Dnipro and Lybid --- Staff more friendly, location good, off the street so, quieter -- did not include breakfast (Dnipro and Lybid do include breakfast)

Clean hotel, good location near downtown Kiev. Room a bit spartan but more than adequate. Breakfast buffet excellent.

Over all the hotel is very nice, but the beds need to be upgraded and so do the pillows and also they need to provide sheets for the beds not just a comfortor

The hotel was very nice and clean. Most staff spoke English and they were helpful. I almost didn't choose this hotel because of one bad review about the staff but it was a very good experience. Rooms were no smaller than is typical in Europe. We enjoyed the extensive buffet breakfast and the price of the rooms was really good. About the only thing missing was Coke Light in the bar and restaurant (I think they had just run out). Great location close to city center and lots of sights.

On the whole the hotel experience was good. However, the room was a bit too small. We had two suitcases and two carry-ons, and they were always in the way because there was no place to put them. In addition, I didn't like the fact that the bed was a king-size bed. When I travel with my sister, I like to sleep in a separate bed, so I like a room with two single beds, instead of one.

Average but small rooms. Excellent buffet breakfast. Very nice lobby. Efficient staff. [...]

The hotel was within walking distance of many of the major sites. The room was nice and very comfortable. There is a small grocery shop around the corner that I was able to pick up water and snacks. My first day there I did no feel comfortable with my Russian so I had trouble ordering food in the city but fortunately the hotel has a really nice restaurant and lounge and they speak English well enough to communicate so you can do like I did the first day and choose to eat there. There are two places to get a beer in the hotel so if you are tired from a long day and want to stay in you can. There are much nicer hotels but you will pay two or three times as much for these. There are other hotels for around the same price but I talked to people that said they were horrible. One last thing, the hotel has a desk full time staffed with Avis people. They will pick you up at the airport and transfer you back. They use nice cars and their staff is completely professional and English speaking. I think they charge just a little more but it is a very small amount and the alternative would be to book a cab. One experience was to call a cab an hour before it was needed. 5 minutes before they were supposed to arrive the cab called and said they were not going to come. I think having a reliable transportation is worth the small amount that the Avis people charged. Being in a foreign country by myself was stressful enough so staying at a hotel like Rus, with all the services they provide was really helpful. For the price I think it was very good.

room was fine. There was some loud music on one of the nights for a few hours. Hotel restaurant was great - great food and reasonably priced.

The location was great. We were able to go to many differant places. There were many stores and shops in walking distance. This was a very differant trip then I usally take but it was a very enjoyable trip. I would do this trip again. The hotel was nice but the rooms are small. The hotel had a place to exchange money around the corner from the lobby. But all in all a very good trip.

This hotel is utilitarian, providing a place to stay without any frills. The room was comfortable, but outdated. The service was cold - a maid demanding I leave my room for her to clean - and the breakfast is absolutely abhorrent, but considering that comparable options in Kiev start at more than double the price of Rus, it has its advantages.

Everyone in hotel coould speek english to me. very helpful and important to me.

Professional good value for money business hotel in convenient location.

This hotel is one of the best i've ever stayed in. It was very centally located to walk or take a taxi anywhere within the city. Everyone I dealt with was very classy and professional, and this is how the culture is. The people were very kind and helpful. I will stay here everytime I stay in Kiev. This hotel is not for families, so I would not recommend this for people with children.
