Slightly boring but as a result fit for business purpose hotel. Good location on Kreschatyk, overlooking the monument and close to Globus underground shopping centre. Good staff and with Uber taxis I still can’t believe how cheap this city is to get around. Take your time, traffic is sometimes mental
I was in a business trip, the location is everything, right in the heart of Kiev. The stuff were very helpful and nice. The room were great, big enough, with all the necessary you need. Breakfast was OK. Will visit it again.
Stayed two nights just to try some new hotels in Kiev, as stayed nearly at the most hotels in Kiev on few years. This one "does the job". Lobby: Had few meetings there. Just though space for small business coffee as well as a bit privacy if needed. Rooms: Not too spacious, but cosy. All very functional. Hygiene is very good level and all looks cleaner. However sometimes you feel the smell of drain. Was in the other room which gives the same impression. If you want a bath in your room you'd pay more. Staff: Very professional, very kind and looking after. Spa and swimming pool: Open for the hotel customers only 08:00-13:00, which is not too convenient. Neither early enjoy, and you cannot get some relaxing swim in the evening. Sauna was cold 8am. Breakfast: Alright, but would expect more fruit, some fish(salmon), otherwise nice bread, coffee, meat, cheese . Atmosphere: Relaxed, not hectic and not over-crowded, polite.
Life is usually not black and white, so is my feedback on this hotel :) 1. rooms are clean and nicely furnished, the only thing is that you hear the music from bar (so if you go to that bar instead of sleeping and would leave it with the DJ at 6am - you are fine), but maybe it was a case of my room only 2. breakfast was very good, open until 11am, my only negative experience was when I asked for half a lemon (wanted to squeeze it and mix with some water)...they were not able to give mi a peace of lemon...after 10min. of investigation they came up with the final ruling: ok, but you have to pay for it :) 3. hotel bar is a place I would avoid. bartender was not willing to give us a check (cash machine was closed or broken...), so there was no way I could see what is he charging. This is unacceptable.
The hotel is located on one of the best possible locations to stay as a tourist. Apart from the location, it has a friendly staff speaking English. It's not the best hotel in Kiev but it has one of the best price/performance graphics.
Very good hotel, good breakfast great service kind employees. Very nice spa facility but to expensive to rent on afternoon. Price was a bit higher that the offer we received on email, We noticed them but they didn’t care.
In this hotel we stayed for 3 nights. I would divide my feedback into two parts. The first one is accommodation as such – the rooms are clean, nice and quiet. As long as you stay in the room, you really feel like you are in a 4* hotel. The problems start when you leave your room. And here comes the second part of my feedback – service, especially The hotel bar. Pay close attention to barman’s machinations. I would especially like to describe our experience with one barman – the guy with tattoos (if I remember well, they are visible on his arm and on his neck). If your plan is to drink more than just one round, than I strongly recommend to pay after each round separately, otherwise you will get an unpleasant shock in the form of a double (or triple) bill in comparison to what you really drank. You can definitely forget about the receipt with the explanation that the cash register is broken “right now”. I will never forget the sentence: "I'm a man of honour so you have to trust me!” After arguing for longer than 30 minutes and barman's recommendation “If you are not happy with it, you can call the manager”, suddenly we realized that we are in the country with different rules, we just paid the bill without any further arguments. We had a similar experience on our last day but with another barman, who abused our situation – a hotel taxi was waiting to take us to the airport and therefore we didn’t have any time to argue. Luckily, we only had 2 coffees and 2 mineral waters, but we paid 50 Ukrainian bucks more than the real cost was. The food is also the part of the hotel's service so we decided to use the hotel restaurant only for breakfast, which was really tasty and the variety was good enough even for very demanding guests. After the bar rip off we felt like in a 4* hotel again. My final recommendation is: be careful when you choose this hotel and maybe than you will have a more enjoyable stay than us.
Kiev was a bit overwhelming upon arrival. Was coming down with the flu and the new alphabet was a bit hard to decipher. Alex took me to a pharmacy ordered what i needed and filled in the map for places to go and things to see. Was truly a first class experience and set up all side tours. Thanks to alex was one of the best vacations i have ever had.
My friend and I stayed here for four nights and it was one of the best lodging decisions I've made in a long time. The location can't be beat! It's right in Independence Square and surrounded by endless restaurants and nightlife. The staff are all very friendly, but Alex the concierge is the best part of this place. Super friendly and he seems to know everyone you need to meet and everywhere you need to go! He can get dinner reservations anywhere and is always ready with a recommendation. He even set us up with a fantastic tour where we drove a tank! Couldn't recommend more highly.
The evening we arrived there was a band playing outside near front of hotel, needless to say our room was above it so I asked for another room and a bath. Although this room was quieter and nicely decorated the mattress was very hard and had no bath, just standard shower. Mattress was two singles pushed together with an enormous Queen headboard. Second morning there was only tepid water, no hot! I was told a chamber maid would come and check it, she didn't. Breakfast was hugely overpriced for what you get, £13.50 each! The rooms are not sound proofed. If you come with little or no expectations you'll probably be pleased with it. It's a shame as this hotel is excellently located.
