Nice and clean hotel with very nice and friendly staff. The breakfast however is not very good but it serves essentials like egg or omelette. The Hotel has a swimmingpool and a small combined restaurant and bar where I dined the evening of arriaval.
From this hotel you can get anywhere, it's located in The centre. The staff was extremely friendly, though I find it disturbing that receptionists work 24 hours straight. Not so cool for the workers..
I checked in early, at 8:30am, and had no problem paying a half-day rate increase for being there 6.5 hours before checkin. I was told at the time that it would be 45 dollars Canadian, which was fine. But apparently I was put in an upgraded room, which cost more, and had to pay the early check-in rate at that price, plus the upgrade fee...which was over 90 dollars Canadian. I only paid 90 for the room originally (I booked a month early), so doubling the fee seemed pretty steep for an extra 6.5 hours. I was also called in my room and told to come up and pay at 4pm that day, even though the morning checkin lady said it was fine to pay upon checkout. That's when I found out about the extra fees. The whole thing certainly wasn't the best experience, and left me less than impressed with the miscommunication from the staff. Other than that, the hotel was older but fine. The entrance is a little hard to find, and it's on top of a hill. Wifi gapped out a bit. TV worked. It was quiet.
Positives - Its a nice place with location being the key advantage. The service is good and meets all basic requirements. Breakfast is interesting and different from routine & boring ones (good for vegetarians as well). Negatives - Access - Well the uphill walk is fine for those who do not mind the climb but if you are not upto it then please consider that point. The hotel entrance is not visible from the road - there is a small access road (with barrier and guard on duty who has to let you in). A clear signage there would make life easier when you are getting there first time and when you order an uber. TV - Limited choices for English channels but there is at least one which was useful. Kettle - No hot water kettle in the room (they never claimed it as a feature but this is more of a request to consider including).
The hotel is very good placed, next to the center of Kiev and the service is excellent. They speak english and are very friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to Kiev for a visit. They have a small bar where you can have breakfast and also have dinner (they have english menu for non-ucrainian speakers) with Ucrainian (and not Ucrainian) dishes.
This hotel is a great value: it's very conveniently located (you can walk anywhere in minutes), the room is small but comfy and has all the necessities, but the real great part was the free breakfast. While we expected the typical spread of eggs/lunchmeats and maybe some fruit/veggies if we were lucky, the hotel truly outdid themselves. The menu included: traditional pancakes (oladushki), zucchini pancakes, eggs sunny side up, mini-blini with meat, mini chicken burgers, fresh and delicious tomatoes and cukes dusted with chopped dill - everything home-cooked and absolutely delicious. The server also offered to make us omelets or oatmeal, which we declined since there was more than enough of delicious food already. Hats off to the traditional Ukrainian hospitality!
Stayed there one night which was ok. Was in room 119 which was close to the 'bar' .. not very good located, very noisy. The walls are also pretty thin, could hear every single movement of my room neighboor. Windows couldnt be opened as well. The shower is pretty tiny, so if you dont have a perfect BMI you might struggle. Hotel not possible to be reached by the taxi driver, had to walk and literally search for it. The stuff is typically Ukraine, rather cold and I perceived it as unfriendly. Besides all that, location is excellent, room was clean, check-in/out process went quick. Would stay here again I guess, but def not for business.
The hotel has a good standard, the staff is friendly with good english skills. Breakfast is pretty simple, but okay standard. Location os pretty central, close to both the centre of Kyiv, sights and parks.
This hotel is a 3 min walk max to the Canadian consulate. Also 5 minutes to St. Michael monetary. Very compact but rich decor and friendly staff. Good value for food and laundry service. Going down town is steep so plan your uphill climb or drive. Also very close to a variety of banks.
You are a stone's throw away from all the main touristic hotspots. Room was clean and just the right size. You felt safe although my passport had to be left in the reception safe as there wasn't one on the room. Breakfast was nothing special and the sound of guests' room keys woke me up a few times. All that you need really. Apparently Mike Tyson stayed here.
