Older property but clean and safe. It sits on a high hilltop so you can see a small part of Mt. Rushmore from their main patio. That part is cool, but note it’s not an easy walk into Keystone.

The outside of the hotel is beautiful, and it’s in a prime location. The inside is dated and the rooms are very cramped. The beds had hard lumpy mattresses. I asked the reception staff a few basic questions about getting into Mt Rushmore. They had no idea, and made no effort to get the answers for me. I will not be back. 🙁

They do not clean at all even if you're there a week. Don't even dump the trash. Handed me 3 garbage bags. Front desk never answers the phone. Blame their poor service on covid still. Bedroom EXTREMELY SMALL like a crruise ship. Staff not very nice.
I spent one night here and 2 nights in Deadwood but wish I had spent all three nights here. This is the best area to stay at if traveling to the Black Hills. It has the most things to do and see.
