I really enjoyed the location, serenity, amenities, and adult only aspect of the Cabana Inn! However, you will hear roosters at every hour of the night and day, but we were forewarned so that wasn't a surprise.
The pool area, although small, is nice, and could use a few more lounging style chairs. But there's plenty of seating and tables outside, as well as the day-bed lounging area that's separate from the pool.
The guest room we were in with a queen bed was a bit tight around the bed area. However, the bathroom was a good size. For our purposes, the room was totally fine. It had a TV, mini fridge with decent space, and a microwave.
My complaints included the slow service from staff during happy hour when wine would run out. It would sometimes be 30 mins before a staff member would come, and you would see a lot of people waiting around and checking if it had been refilled. 30 mins is a long time when happy hour is only 2 hours long. I understand it's complimentary, but it's still included and therefore should be done in a timely manner. But the idea was great. Secondly, when we would run out of bathroom amenities prior to cleaning, it would not be refilled. But when I went down to the office to ask for additional soap, I was helped asap!
The location of the inn is great. It's just off of the hustle and bustle of Duval Street, but enough off the beaten path to be extremely serene. And the continental breakfast (bagels, cereal, waffles, yogurt) was great when short on time!
