A group of 13 of us spent a weekend in Benners hotel to celebrate my Hen Party and it was unforgettable from start to finish! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and make the occassion special and memorable. We had our own private dining room with a specially dressed table and the food was out of this world. Everyone was so friendly and kind, and all requests were met with a resounding yes. The rooms were pristine, and the hotel is perfectly located. Special thanks to John and Frank for looking after us so well!
Benners oozes old fashioned charm and hospitality. Corporate rate is more than I would normally pay for a one night stay in a hotel 'off season' however, this is Dingle and thankfully tourists visit this lovely town throughout the year. I had the "Chefs Taster Plate" No complaint about the taste, however I felt it just lacked something to break up the heaviness of the mainly fried/grilled food. I would humbly suggest a salad to accompany this? The bar staff and management are a great asset to the hotel. A little mention to the receptionist (sorry did not recall her name) who was training and was doing a great job (I used to work in reception many moons ago, I know how hard it can be) she said she used to work in Benners in housekeeping....well that just says it all really, Benners value their staff. BRAVO. Car Park....is a pain to find if you don't know the area, you can download the directions, drive SLOWLY on approach to the entrance as it is easy to miss and since it's on a one-way street, you will have to go round again Great night's sleep........... Breakfast. After the 'Chef's Taster Plate' could not face a fried breakfast, so opted for boiled eggs, which were cooked to perfection, have to say looking at the 'Full Irish' that other guests were enjoying looked fab...........I was also very impressed with the appearance of the cold breakfast buffet. WOW smoked salmon, cheese, cold meats. I would certainly recommend staying here, alas next time I am due on business in Dingle, it will be well out of my price range.
I wasn't expecting much; a town centre hotel that is quite old..... Well, I can only say what a surprise this little gem was. Yes, it is a little dated, but the rooms are huge and spotlessly clean. The staff are just so friendly - all of them. The manager is amazing; not one to shy away from serving at the bar if it's busy or helping out at reception; a real gentleman. The girls on reception were lovely. We were in a large group of 50; we ate at the hotel that night. Wow, the food was fantastic! I don't say this lightly as, being a vegetarian, I sometimes struggle to get nice, tasty food. I had a thai curry; it was gorgeous. Starter and dessert didn't disappoint either! When we were leaving on Sunday, the bar was packed with people having Sunday lunch; always a good sign! Right in the heart of Dingle, this hotel is a real find; I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone.
Exactly what was needed. Lovely room. Great breakfast, Well located. Went around town and had a few beers so the location was great. Staff were very friendly and offered good advice re restaurants nearby Could not ask for more
We stayed one night on a recent trip. Got a better rate by calling hotel directly. Room was clean and spacious. Queen size bed a tad small for adults. Breakfast was excellent. There is free parking at back of hotel which is difficult to find so pull up outside hotel first and they’ll give directions. Hotel lobby and bar are very cozy and there are lots of corners with armchairs to hang out in.
Arriving in Dingle at 3pm on a January afternoon there were very few places open for food so we settled on Benners. I had the chowder to start, it was dreadful! Ordered the fillet as a main, stressing rare! It came in two pieces! The first was totally overcooked and inedible for me! The second medium rare but okay! I told the waiter, he apologised and removed the overdone piece! The replacement eventually arrived and was BLUE! My better half had the veg soup which was alright and the "tasting platter" which was not! Almost 7 hours later and we both continue to have bad indigestion! Definitely not returning
Superb hotel. From the lovely Jessica on reception to the attentive staff in the restaurant at breakfast, nothing was too much trouble. Yes the hotel car park entrance is around the block on the one way system, but if anyone had looked at the website before arrival as we did, they would have found clear instructions & been able to drive straight there & walk into reception from the car park. Room was large & comfortable. Traditional old pine furniture, comfy armchairs & very good bed. The shower over the bath was also fine with good water flow & plenty hot water. All spotlessly clean, & the room was serviced thoroughly during the time we were at breakfast. Breakfast itself superb. Wide range of cereals, cold meats, smoked salmon, fruit & cheese on the buffet, with hot breakfasts cooked to order. Eggs cooked to perfection rather than sitting on a heated buffet turning into bullets as with so many hotels today. Toast brought to your table, with a good choice of fresh breads & pastries should you prefer.
Friendly and professional staff. Beautiful lobby to have a cup of tea in. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Free parking for our car. An easy walk to the waterfront where we bought sweatshirts and various souvenirs for family at home.
Got a good deal on this (around €100); charming period hotel right in the heart of Dingle. Clean medium size rooms, pine furniture a little worn. Decent breakfast spread. For a price is was excellent IMO.
We are often in Dingle for a day trip but this was our first time dining here and I can honestly say we all can’t wait to go back. We have fussy eaters aged 7 and 6 years one got the toasted special and other the Cajun chicken wrap and both have asked when are we going back. I had the mouth watering pulled pork wrap and salad it was delicious 😋 my husband had soup s d sandwich and said it was lovely. Staff were helpful and friendly and very attentive and great with kids. Highly recommend for a family bite to eat looking forward to our next visit
