We recently stayed at Aghadoe Heights for a two night midweek Birthday Celebration. From the moment we arrived the welcome and service was superb. Cannot recommend highly enough. Well done... your staff are a credit to you. Dinner in the restaurant was divine. I'm glad to have discovered the delight of an espresso martini after dinner. Definitely worth a visit. You won't be disappointed.

We stayed here for one night as we used it as a staging point for our Ring of Kerry day. Arrived at night and the lobby was beautiful! Parking is onsite and free. The staff were very knowledgable of the local area and had great recommendations for pubs in the area. The rooms are very spacious and absolutely beautiful! The bathroom has plenty of room and shower is fit for a king. The views are out of this world and breakfast was also good.

Was a guest at Aghadoe Heights Hotel last night for Dinner with some dear friends. I am from Killarney and would regularly visit this beautiful hotel however last night was very disappointing. We booked for a table of 4 for a special dinner, advertised locally at excellent value. When we arrived at the bar area hoping to avail of a pre-dinner drink we were advised by a young lady server that all the tables were reserved and we were guided to a hard table with a cloth laid over it in front of the bar area accompanied with four hard chairs...we decided to head straight for the restaurant where we would enjoy comfortable seating to enjoy a pre dinner drink!!. The staff were pleasant, and attentive to a point and so we ordered from the wine list. Food was nice, starters a little disappointing but the mains were lovely...however during the meal we did notice the attention to detail was declining at a rather rapid rate. We waited for someone to take our dessert and coffee order, as we were dining on a special inclusive deal we didn't have a choice of desserts which was fine with us as we were aware of what was expected...however no mention of coffees was ever made by any server...and so we waited and waited and waited....still to no avail. To be honest at this point I genuinely think the staff were more interested in re-setting the dining room than service......Now we were dining on a 'special' priced menu and so our expectations were not out of the ordinary. One of our party did make her way to the desk to advise that we required coffees and also to note that no mention of a cocktail which again was advertised locally in the dinner deal we were availing of was mentioned. At this point the gent in 'charge' did say he would arrange a cocktail menu immediately to our table and the cocktails 'were on the house'.....sorry but did i mention that this was advertised locally as included in the price we had already booked......finally we were served coffee, with no milk or sugars... a member of my party requested sugar, and was brought milk.....!! at this stage we were bewildered....so to say we were disappointed is an understatement To end the evening the ladies bathrooms in the main lounge area were in a terrible state, firstly @ 11.15 pm. and remained in that state until 12.midnight and possible thereafter as we decided it was time to make a quick exit....I am so sorry and saddened to post this review as to me the Aghadoe Heights hotel is a landmark of beauty and exceptional service and standards in Killarney.....pity to see it in such decline and disarray

Stayed here with my husband. A gift from our children for Christmas. The location is really lovely. We had a lake view room. Room 106 on the lower floor located between the pool and spa so ideal. Room itself was a tad dated we thought. Also we were woken up at 8 am the first morning as workers were trimming hedges etc! I feel an overhaul of the corridor (lot of timber) also needed. We looked at some of the top floors and they were nicer. We dined in the lounge the first night and food was very good. Di ed in the Lake View restaurant the second night , food was top notch. Beautiful presentation and fabulous flavours.the staff in all areas are helpful, chatty ad very pleasant. Overall we think the hotel is more deserving of 4 star rating in its current condition. I have included some photos of the great food.

Enjoyed a lovely stay here in January. Breathtaking views over the lakes. The breakfast was great and the food is bar is delicious. The staff throughout the hotel were certainly the friendliest and most helpful I've ever come across. Would highly recommend a stay here.

A friend and I went to Aghadoe Heights Hotel and Spa for two nights as a spur of the moment get away for my friend's birthday and it was the best spur of the moment decision we ever made. Upon check in we were greeted by a very friendly lady at the reception desk, who kindly upgraded our room as a little treat for my friend's birthday. The room was spacious, and had the most amazing view of the lake and surrounding mountains. The bathroom was spacious and had both a shower and a bath separately which was ideal. The breakfast which was included in our package was delicious with a great variety to suit all needs. The last night of our stay we dined in the restaurant and the food was exquisite and in my opinion was of a Michelin star quality. Apart from the spectacular views, the one thing that I will take away from the trip above all was the staff members of the hotel. They were nothing but warm and friendly and had such a genuine want to make our experience the best it could be. They are an absolute credit to the hotel and they make the experience what it is, which is unforgettable. Unfortunately, we did not get to try out the spa facilities but it is definitely on our to do list. Thank you for a wonderful experience and for making us feel so welcome, we cannot wait to return again soon.

Myself and my husband and two little girls went for a two night stay from 5th to 7th of February. What can I say about Aghadoe Heights Hotel? The location is stunning. Every time you looked out the window it was breath taking, so peaceful and relaxing. The hotel is just luxury. The reception, the spa, the lounge and the restaurant are all beautifully furnished and maintained. Originally we had booked for just myself and my husband but when we contacted the hotel about bringing our children the staff were extremely helpful and offered us a garden view suite which was fantastic. The layout and design was perfect. The bed was so comfortable and in my opinion the pillow always has a big importance when it comes to hotel bedding, it was amazingly comfortable. The hotel provided us with two cots for the girls and they were of a very high standard with very soft mattresses which was a nice difference from some other hotels we have stayed at. Having been to several other spas in Ireland this one was outstanding. We both had a massage treatment and the therapists were really super. The spa facilities are fantastic and the little unexpected extra touches certainly helped us to relax into our stay. From arrival to departure all of the hotel staff were so friendly, nothing was a hassle. Both of our daughters have food allergies which means we bring all of our own food for them and cook it each day. As a result we asked if we could bring a little fridge and cooker, again no problem. We ate in the lounge the first night. Stephen was so helpful and friendly and was a paw patrol expert which went down well with our 2 year old daughter. I am a bad coeliac which can be difficult when trying to order in places we haven’t been before. Stephen put me at ease as he was so knowledgeable on the menu and assured me that the kitchen staff would be able to tweak many of the dishes to accommodate me. I wasn’t disappointed! We both ordered the chicken curry which was just gorgeous. The second night we ate in the restaurant. The menu was fab and the food was stunning and tasted as good as it looked. Justin and Bartek were brilliant, again extremely knowledgeable and helpful with my dietary requirements. There was a pianist playing in the lounge on our last night and she was fantastic, it really added to the relaxed atmosphere that Aghadoe Heights offers. Breakfast on both days was beautiful. A large continental selection to choose from and a beautiful cooked breakfast menu. The only fault for breakfast was my husbands scramble egg was a bit dry and my fried egg was slightly over cooked on one of the mornings. We found the pool area over looking the mountains and lake a big hit with our daughters and the area is kept magnificently clean and well presented. The temperature in the water a little too chilly with the two infants but would be perfect for adults. As with most trips the thing that you remember is the interaction with other people and the staff at Aghadoe Heights were extremely welcoming and friendly and really helped to personalise our stay. Each and every staff member we met was welcoming and they have really cracked the skill of making their guests feel at ease. We both commented that it was the most welcome we have ever felt in a hotel. We will definitely be returning and would suggest that if you haven’t been to this hotel you should definitely put it on your list. Thank you,

Best night away we have ever had. We were greeted by friendly staff who upgraded our room out of generosity for us on arrival. The view from our ceiling to floor window was breathtaking. Plenty of amenities included with our booking. Full use of the pool/sauna and gym free of charge. Only a ten minute drive from the town centre (€8 taxi). So much to look forward to if you stay at Aghadoe Heights Hotel. We recommend this to people of all ages. Considering this is Ireland and the weather isnt always on our side, this hotel will make you feel like you're out of this world.

Went to Aghadoe with a friend on Monday 5th February for two nights. Our room overlooked the lake and mountains and when a little snow fell during the night we woke up to a perfectly enchanting view. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and contained all of the little extras one would expect in a five star hotel. Breakfast was excellent and, with a plentiful array of tempting foods on the buffet as well as cooked to order meals, it made a great start to the day. The afternoon tea has to be the best I have experienced in a very long time and the bar menu we choose from that evening contained an excellent choice of both lighter and more substantial meals. A visit to the spa was memorable and the thoroughly enjoyed by us, especially the seaweed bath! Each and every member of staff we came across is a credit to the hotel. They were professional, kind, friendly and part of a great team. Nothing was too much trouble for them and it is obvious that they take great pride in what they do. All in all a wonderful experience.

I went to Agahadoe with my partner for a couple of days break away from it all, We arrived at 11am and went straight to the spa for a “take time out for you” spa package which included a 30 min spa treatment, time in the thermal suite and relaxation area, followed by lunch upstairs in the beautiful lounge. Iv been here before and I love the view of the mountains, it never gets old! The food in the lounge was fantastic I had the beer batter cod & chips which was so light and fluffy and cooked to perfection! My partner had the Burger & chips and salivates every time he thinks of it! We both had the chefs selection Desserts which was made up of a chocolate mousse, fruit pastilles & macaroons all were gorgeous! 😋 The following evening we went for a meal in the Lake Room Restaurant, we went for the 3 courses and each course was absolutely beautiful, we had both red and white wines which is why I can’t remember exactly what we ate but I know each course was presented beautifully and tasted even better! The one that’s sticks out the most to me is probably the goats cheese and beetroot starter it was lovely I wouldn’t normally like goats cheese but when it’s paired with beetroot it’s beautiful! Try it! And the scallops mmm.. I love scallops but these were even better than they usually are, cooked to perfection & topped with lobster bisque foam!! Yum! Agahadoe Heights is a lovely quiet country paradise where you can feel extra spoilt for a day or two, the spa, the rooms and most importantly the food is to die for. I will definitely be back, very soon I hope 😊
