CONS :The parking in the rear is awkward. The rooms were old and outdated. The comforter had numerous cigarette burn holes in it. The drapes wouldn't remain closed. People were sitting outside of their rooms in chairs and also in the breezeway. I had to inch by them. I had to keep the a/c on high to keep the moisture level down in the room. The microwave had a melted burn hole on the door. The remote control was nasty and sticky, and needed new batteries. I had to go around the room with clorox wipes. They charged me $28.99 to extend the check out time from 11am to 3pm. The Red Roof Inn on Roberts Courts, right off of Barrett Parkway, charges about $5 more for their rooms, but only charges $15 to extend the check out time from 11am to about 3pm or 4pm. The Sun Suites charge you for extra towels and don't clean their rooms daily. So if you stay for more than a day = DISGUSTING! PROS: You have a full size bathroom. They have tons of cable channels to watch, including MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, BET, HBO, etc. It has a 2 burner stove, sink, small fridge, and cabinets with a plate and utensils. The maintenance guy who came to change the remote control batteries was nice. There are tons of restaurants nearby. It was fairly quiet, other than someone using a drill at 10am in the next room. Verdict: I will NOT be returning to the Sun Suites. No thanks!
The first room I was shown had a problem with the AC, so they switched me fairly quickly, but the second room had been a smoking room, and I just accepted it at that point. It was missing some things I thought every hotel had, like shampoo and conditioner. The kitchenette had dishes, but nothing obvious to wash them with. Still, for the price, it was comfortable and they were friendly.
Place is ok.. Nothing special Decent place to crash for the night... wouldnt stay here with family... Staff not that friendly..
The hotel was a nice hotel, for what I paid for it. I would stay here again, maybe.
Excellent value! The men were very happy with the accomodations and service.
I will go back to Sun Suites Kennesaw I/75 room very clean and comfactable . I would stay a week there. Like a small apartment . Good location easy in and out . love it.
Made a snack put left overs in fridge Went to bed There was soap but no shampo
I took a group of students to an event at Kennesaw State University. My room was fine but the two rooms for the students were bad. One smelled like chlorine. On the second day we discovered that it covered a moldy smell. The other room had a blood stain on the sheet. When the person staying in that room requested a change of sheets, the maid left a note saying she was sorry but she could not finish the job because she would have missed her bus. The water in the showers were either extremely hot or extremely cold. It was between an interstate and a well traveled road so all you heard all night was traffic. I could go on but don't want to sound like a complainer. I am not but the excuse the cleaning lady gave was just bad.
For the most part it was nice. Only stayed one night, but the staff was nice and checkout was quick and painless. It is a little noisy as it sits between I75 and a busy road. It's a great location to shopping malls and food places though.
They did let us check in around 9 am which was great since the check in time said 3pm, but the room was a bit dirty when we went in, dead bugs in the bathroom and a fre alive bugs in the shower. When it came time for them to re-stock our room, the cleaner left our shower on which flooded our bathroom which was a distaster. They also didnt re-stock our kitchen towels, and the ones they did re-stock in the bathroom smelled disgusting. It was located right next to a highway also so there was tons of noise from semi's and other cars. If you plan on staying awhile..and with a baby..then go someplace else!
In town to visit family. No frills but clean. Room had small kitchenette with two place settings, no pots and pans but they mights have been available at the office. Everything worked. In room internet. Large cable selection on TV. Stand up shower, no bathtub. Shower worked well but used on-demand hot water so it took about 5 minutes to get hot water to the shower. After that, water was plenty hot. Area was quiet with large shopping center and many restaurants about 5 minutes away.
While the location was a good half way point to our destinations of Rome GA and Atlanta this hotel was not the most delightful of our experiences in GA. We are very easy to satisfy in terms of places to sleep but were expecting a little more than the cramped rooms and location RIGHT on the freeway. It was difficult to sleep with the traffic and the heater/ac fan had to be set to a temperature so it couldn't be used to cover up the noise. Pretty outdated, which we can't really say anything for since the price was pretty reasonable.
