The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very small for 4 people with exceeding little sink space in room and small bathroom. Limited walking space between beds and tv/drawer area and no closet. HVAC in room pretty pound and kept turning on/off at night. Very nice breakfast.

The young kids at the desk are more interested in playing video games, the hotel was not busy and I asked if I could get late check out and was denied.rooms are tiny overpriced

Great location in Seward. Right across the street from the bay and the Sealife Center. We stayed for one night before getting on a cruise. Older hotel but did fine for the night. Free shuttle from train to hotel and hotel to port. Breakfast included as well.

we we're hopeful because of its location that this would be worth the money but what a mistake. completely outdated interior. rugs were old Howard Johnson looking rugs and bathroom was small and used the plastic paneling.gross! Overall the hotel was dirty and to top it all off the staff was as rude as I've met. do yourself a favor another place.

The only good thing about the hotel is the location. The staff and manager are rude and unaccomodating. Booked for 2 nights they wouldn't let me stay in the room I booked and moved my stuff to a room with one bed for 4 people after I spoke to the girl at the front desk several times. Paid $400 for a 3 star hotel and was shocked how awful the staff was. Checked out and called orbitz for a refund and they said I was right and the manager was rude to them too- ended up at the Alyeska for 1/2 the price much nicer hotel with nicer staff.

$400/night and You park two blocks away on the street. Nobody to help with luggage or drop off. Do not recommend. Rooms are run down. Noisy AC units.

This hotel served our needs, and we enjoyed the convenience of its location in downtown Seward. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The key issue with the hotel was that everything was small: the rooms, the beds, the bathrooms, the breakfast area. Everything was quite cramped, which was disappointing in that the costs were very high for this hotel. Despite enjoying the location, I doubt we'll return.

It was a typical Best Western standard hotel. The location is good where is close to some unique shops and restaurants. But if you want to go to town where the cruises and ships are, it is about 15-20 minutes walk. Overall an okay experience for us!

We had a very enjoyable stay though only for one night. The hotel had just reopened and everything was beautiful. Would have loved to have heard someone playing the grand piano in the foyer. Overall very comfortable, engaging and helpful staff. Thank you. Kate and Peter Lumsdaine ( from Australia)

The staff were very friendly in providing all the information. Do not miss the walk outside the hotel, beautiful lake and mountains covered with snow. The rooms were neat and had microwaves to heat food.

The staff was very friendly and helpful when we had a small problem that the manager personally helped us with and offered to help us move rooms. The hotel is in walking distance from a lot of the town. Great free continental breakfast. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable beds with refrigerator in room. Seward is a beautiful town and incredible seafood.. Must see the aquarium. We had a inward facing room without a window but we didn't mind because we were only there to sleep. Price was good for the time of year. We will return.

The room was clean, modern and well maintained. The view was absolutely wonderful with a window looking out on Resurrection Bay and a wrap-around balcony with a mountain view. The staff was friendly.

Had a nice visit aside from a few minor kinks they had yet to work out. This is a seasonal hotel, only open from May-October. We stayed for one night on May 4, just after they opened. The door lock would not accept the key card, so we had to change rooms. Then the elevator went out of service the next day, so had to lug the luggage down three flights of stairs. Also, the ceiling fan in our room did not work. Other than that, the decor/furnishings are nice for a BW. The atrium style lobby lets lots of light in.

I live in Anchorage, which is about a 2 1/2 hr drive from Seward but decided to rent a room the night before a fishing charter to avoid getting up at 3am to meet the charter at the dock then fishing for 8 hours or so and driving back home. The room was pricey - but that's to be expected from a very small cruise ship tourist town with only a few hotels. The front desk staff however were exceptional! I called to confirm my reservation and the gal was very pleasant and helpful. When I arrived to check in the other girl was equally pleasantn and very helpful and the same when I checked out the next morning.

this was one of the best hotels we stayed in in Alaska, it was way better than the Denaili Princess Lodge

We weren't there for very long, but the hotel is very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly. They had a great continental breakfast, and the location couldn't be beat! I highly recommend this hotel.

If the room were any smaller, it would have been like a napping facility at an airport. Nearly no closet space, a sink the size of a small sauce pan, sink and toilet in different rooms but need to open door to toilet/shower room to hang a towel.

we were traveling so just wanted a nice clean room. room was clean but a little expensive

well done.
