Great location on the island - convenient for touring. Loved being by Lava Lava Club, which has games and fun atmosphere and is also cozy. Pretty location on Kauai. It was great to have a kitchen. Parking spots - great to have, but really tight!

We stayed at the motel for 3 nights. Was really clean, spacious and the owner is really nice. Was quiet but the rooms are poorly soundproofed so i woke up sometimes when someone walked in the room above. Location is amazing, food stores around the corner, street to the kokee park right next to the building. Kauai is very expensive so i guess the price was ok. We had a kitchen which was ok equiped. Was really clean

We stayed a few nights at this hotel and really liked it. I was hesitant at first because of the price and location but it worked out very well. Clean rooms, easy parking, easy walk to the grocery store or restaurants. Since it's right on the main road, you get some noise from the traffic but not bad at all. You're gonna hear chickens because, you know, you're on Kauai. It was a nice change of pace from regular hotel chains. Only 20 rooms so you really felt like they took great care in making each room have good quality amenities, not just cheapo stuff they can get in bulk. I know other reviewers balked at the price for what you get but come on now. You're in Hawaii. Other places charge you parking, resort fees, etc. But this is a really good price for a nice room here. I'd stay here again and would highly recommend.

I was here for business and this hotel was chosen for me. Turns out to be a hidden gem. The manager on site was wonderfully helpful and friendly. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The full kitchen was a nice surprise for a hotel. Only 1 block walk to the ocean, this hotel was ideally located in Waimea.

Room was far nicer than I expected. Hotel is clean, room plenty large, nice balcony. Oskar is awesome.Great access to west beaches (Kekaha, Polihale).AC worked great as well as ceiling fan. Recommend!

Oscar is great. Helpful and wants to please. He is the best part of the experience. Rooms are spacious, recently renovated and the kitchen was surprisingly well equipped. I rented one of the largest spaces and was pleased with the arrangement. Sofas are not that comfortable but the bed was fine. TV worked great with plenty of channels to choose from. WIFI was a little laggy but functional and met my needs. I would not spend my vacation here, but excellent if you are working at Barking Sands. Not many food options around but the Big Save is in walking distance and there are a few decent food stands. Overall, a pleasant experience.

We are SPG members and were upgraded to a huge, brand new room with stunning views. The location and staff we're both great. Just a few minutes by car from restaurants, stores, and hiking. They have several pools which were nice and not crowded when I was there. I had an excellent experience and would definitely recommend staying here!

Great stay- rooms had all the amenities you need including a fridge, coffee maker and AC. Extra shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom which was also very spacious! Oscar has excellent customer service, he even helped our friend start his rental car when it died. Convenient location close to Waimea canyon, best price in the area and again, great customer service. We requested an early check in and they made it happen- no problem. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay again, thanks Oscar!

There are some good things here. Oskar is a really ice guy and the rooms are spacious and clean. But this is just an ordinary motel charging serious hotel prices. They don't even make the beds every day. Waimea is out on a limb for everything except he local gorge (terrific - don't miss and go right to the top) . If you have to stay here you will be ok but it is impossible to recommend at the prices charged (we paid $300 per night).

We chose The West Inn Kauai because it was convenient to our activities on the West side of the island. We only planned to stay one night before moving on to the next part of the island. Check-in was simple. No one was at the office when we arrived, but I called and Oscar had our pass-code to our room all setup. This hotel is nothing fancy, but you can tell they try to provide clean accommodations to their guest. Looks like they are slowly renovating some of the rooms, but that didn't bother us. We grabbed some Poke at the local market for dinner and sat out on the back patio to plan the next day in paradise. The roosters are everywhere in Kauai, so don't forget your earplugs!
