This is a beautiful resort with marvoulus grounds. Dukes restaurant is fabulous with excllemt service and great food. The view from all the restauranta on property are incredible. Great location centrally located to everything on island.

Second-time stay here it was another great experience great staff

My room was nice, but the bathroom was tiny. I slept in late every morning except one, I got up at 8 am, and there was no hot water. The pillows were just flat, all four. I saw a roach in the bathroom on my last day. I was also charged a $30 resort fee per day, above my already prepaid stay. The resort fee was for parking (didn't have a car), internet (I was charged an additional $12 to use the wifi in my room), 1 free water bottle each day (on days when housekeeping came in), 2 free mai tais. While the pool was nice and the hotel staff above and beyond the front desk were very pleasant, it isn't enough for me to stay there ever again.

The Kauai Marriott was very nice and we had a great stay. Everything you could need is available from shopping to restaurants, to pools and beach. It is located centrally on the island so you can get to the north shore or the Wiamea Canyon within a short drive. We only had 1 issue and that was lots of bugs in our room. They were all living under the television. Hopefully it was isolated to our room. Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is a little dated but the grounds and staff were fantastic. Pool is amazing and right off beach. Food nearby was solid and plenty of places to grab groceries, needed items, etc. Would stay again.

The pool and beach are prefect and the restaurants on site are great. Went around to some other hotels and the Marriott was really the newest and most impressive.

We had requested a king bed, but our request through Orbitz was not honored and my wife and I got "wait listed" for a king the following day. The hotel did accommodate us, but put us in a "garden view" room. The only garden we could see were the weeds growing from the eye level roof top with its exhaust fans and utility personnel walking past our window. The hotel charges for in room wifi which we had paid, but we discovered (after being referred to their techie) that there was no wifi on the entire fourth floor. We were then moved to a third room which had a king bed, wifi and a decent view but it was immediately adjacent to the elevators which kept us awake for most of the night. They touted 5 restaurants. Two were ok (Dukes and Portofino), the rest were mediocre IMHO.

We loved our trip! Some of the best facilities we have experienced and the staff was so helpful and accommodating. We would highly recommend this hotel. Stunning grounds and facilities!

Ambiance of entire hotel was top notch. Rooms were clean and spacious. Hotel food was a little pricey, but it's Hawaii, all food there is expensive.

Beautiful gardens, spectacular pool located on a sandy beach. Our pool view room had a lovely view of the mountains, ocean and pool. The room was roomy with comfortable bedding, a couch, coffee maker and refrigerator. The staff was eager to help with any problems. The hotel is within walking distance to several restaurants and shops. We would definitely return.

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. I really enjoyed my stay that I had to extend 2 more days. The staffs were really nice and helpful. Duke's restaurant is basically connected to the hotel which is a plus. I would definitely come back to Kauai and stay at this hotel again.

Very comfortable hotel with beautiful Japanese style gardens. Lots of nice places to just sit and absorb Aloha. Huge pool that was great. Sure this is an older hotel so pristine it is not. Excellent location, nice comfortable rooms. We had a garden view room which was just fine. We were on the road most of the time sightseeing. Staff always very helpful and courteous. I would certainly stay there again

This hotel is in a great location, half way between both sides of island. The beach is in a protective cove with the pool overlooking the beach. The restaurants connected to hotel were great; Duke's Canoe house, Italian restaurant, etc. There were lots of couches and tables on the balcony overlooking the pool. Everything was clean and new. I would recommend it. We were only 10 minutes from Kipu Ranch to go atv on ranch were movies have been filmed, close to Poipu, and Waimea Canyon.

such beautiful grounds with amazing views. Also love that the hotel sits in the middle of the island so it makes it easy to et around in both directions.

It really is a lovely facility. The pool and beach are excellent, and the proximity to shopping and services is great. There were just a few hiccups in service. We had a toilet closet and tub area so small, we had to step into the tub or straddle the toilet to close the door. When I asked about a change of room, the front desk clerk sarcastically said perhaps he could get the core of engineers up there to expand the bathroom and looked at me like I was crazy. Didn't even look at the computer to see about a room change... So I sucked it up and basked in my own aloha spirit, after all I was in Hawaii and that was a minimal problem. On the other hand, a bartender went out of her way to accommodate my diet which was excellent service, and our room cleaning attendant was awesome!

old outdated hotel in the least desirable town on Kauai. I asked for a king bed and they gave us two doubles by an elevator, noise all night, horrible experience and the staff could care less

My wife and I came to Kauai to celebrate our anniversary . The first room was ok but we had construction directly above us on the roof and below us on another roof top . The walls were so thin we could hear the conversations of other rooms on either side of us . I went back to the front desk and we were offered another room in a different tower . That was a nice room but did not have a ocean view as requested and previously paid for . The third room was a nice ocean view but without a balcony . We were told that nothing else was available so we decided on the room with no balcony to get further away from the construction .The walls were equally as thin in this room so we could hear our neighbors alarm clock go off at 5:30 am and then him talking on his cell phone . The food at this Marriott was very disappointing . One example was my "Seared Scallop Pappardelle". After waiting a very long time for our server Alex, I believe was his name my dinner finely arrived and the scallops were not cooked . The scallops were not cold but a far cry from hot and when I cut one open It confirmed what my taste buds had felt .My wife had the Chili Garlic Shrimp. Unlike my Scallops her Shrimp were badly overcooked and very hot . The topper to ruin this evening was the extremely loud few guys at the bar . Nothing like having a couple of guys yelling profanities while toasting your anniversary .This was far from the Marriott experience we had experienced on other vacations. I am very upset .

The resort was beautiful and well appointed (dining options, shopping options, variety of activities, etc)). Staff was fantastic. The room we had (garden view) was a bit dated and the air conditioner felt more like a swamp cooler, made the room muggy and didn't really cool it down. Also the pull out couch bed mattes was terrible And needed to be updated.

Had a great family wedding gathering at the Kauai Marriott Resort. It was a fabulous place to stay and to hold the wedding on the beach. Food and drinks were all great too. The pool is amazing. Beach is fantastic. I want to be back there now and will be as soon as possible.

The hotel is lovely and the pool and landscaping is beautiful . The beach is ok but not great. When you like to be by the pool and jacuzzi , this is a perfect match. It's very close to the airport but you never know. No noise problem at all. Ther are a few shops around the hotel and a few restaurants. Nothing special but it helps. The big problem is with the staff at this place. The breakfast buffet is pricy and on Sundays they raise the price to $ 35.00 and that's crazy. It's not that special and the staff is serving you with a long face. If they hate their job , they should quit and make room for a local , who wants the job. I did not see a nice and friendly staff member. The room was clean but the maid only did the bare minimum. It went along with the rest if the staff . I probably go back to Kauai but not to this resort.
