Had a relaxing time and the staff go above and beyond for their guests ! Especially Ronda at the Welcome Desk she is amazing Mahalo

Beautiful hotel, resort. The grounds are unbelievable. That's a sightseeing trip in itself. I really hate to say anything negative, but..... we had a terrible flight and we went to cancel the luau/dinner with the concierge. Without asking why she becomes abrupt saying we will have to charge you in such a rude demeaning way. Luckily for us her boss was there and no charge. Most staff were friendly, but a few seemed to have a slight attitude. Our room for the most part was clean except the bathroom. Mold around the bathtub overflow plate and a nasty sour shower curtain the whole time there. How could they not smell that? Very expensive to eat there. $60 for breakfast for 2. $30 for cereal, fruit, and coffee for 2 at the breakfast bar. Rooms a little dated and beat up. All and all, beautiful, but I never got the impression they wanted us there or needed our business. Everyone seemed to be overwhelmed and upset?

It was a wonderful experience, the hotel personnel were very accommodating. The view was awesome. We want to go back!

We visited on our honeymoon and absolutely loved this resort. Extremely friendly staff, convenient access to beach, restaurants and shops. We even took surf lessons and rented paddle boards right there on the property. The pool was gorgeous, we can't wait to go back!

This is a beautiful resort with marvoulus grounds. Dukes restaurant is fabulous with excllemt service and great food. The view from all the restauranta on property are incredible. Great location centrally located to everything on island.

Second-time stay here it was another great experience great staff

My room was nice, but the bathroom was tiny. I slept in late every morning except one, I got up at 8 am, and there was no hot water. The pillows were just flat, all four. I saw a roach in the bathroom on my last day. I was also charged a $30 resort fee per day, above my already prepaid stay. The resort fee was for parking (didn't have a car), internet (I was charged an additional $12 to use the wifi in my room), 1 free water bottle each day (on days when housekeeping came in), 2 free mai tais. While the pool was nice and the hotel staff above and beyond the front desk were very pleasant, it isn't enough for me to stay there ever again.

The Kauai Marriott was very nice and we had a great stay. Everything you could need is available from shopping to restaurants, to pools and beach. It is located centrally on the island so you can get to the north shore or the Wiamea Canyon within a short drive. We only had 1 issue and that was lots of bugs in our room. They were all living under the television. Hopefully it was isolated to our room. Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is a little dated but the grounds and staff were fantastic. Pool is amazing and right off beach. Food nearby was solid and plenty of places to grab groceries, needed items, etc. Would stay again.

The pool and beach are prefect and the restaurants on site are great. Went around to some other hotels and the Marriott was really the newest and most impressive.

We had requested a king bed, but our request through Orbitz was not honored and my wife and I got "wait listed" for a king the following day. The hotel did accommodate us, but put us in a "garden view" room. The only garden we could see were the weeds growing from the eye level roof top with its exhaust fans and utility personnel walking past our window. The hotel charges for in room wifi which we had paid, but we discovered (after being referred to their techie) that there was no wifi on the entire fourth floor. We were then moved to a third room which had a king bed, wifi and a decent view but it was immediately adjacent to the elevators which kept us awake for most of the night. They touted 5 restaurants. Two were ok (Dukes and Portofino), the rest were mediocre IMHO.

We loved our trip! Some of the best facilities we have experienced and the staff was so helpful and accommodating. We would highly recommend this hotel. Stunning grounds and facilities!

Ambiance of entire hotel was top notch. Rooms were clean and spacious. Hotel food was a little pricey, but it's Hawaii, all food there is expensive.

Beautiful gardens, spectacular pool located on a sandy beach. Our pool view room had a lovely view of the mountains, ocean and pool. The room was roomy with comfortable bedding, a couch, coffee maker and refrigerator. The staff was eager to help with any problems. The hotel is within walking distance to several restaurants and shops. We would definitely return.

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. I really enjoyed my stay that I had to extend 2 more days. The staffs were really nice and helpful. Duke's restaurant is basically connected to the hotel which is a plus. I would definitely come back to Kauai and stay at this hotel again.

Very comfortable hotel with beautiful Japanese style gardens. Lots of nice places to just sit and absorb Aloha. Huge pool that was great. Sure this is an older hotel so pristine it is not. Excellent location, nice comfortable rooms. We had a garden view room which was just fine. We were on the road most of the time sightseeing. Staff always very helpful and courteous. I would certainly stay there again

This hotel is in a great location, half way between both sides of island. The beach is in a protective cove with the pool overlooking the beach. The restaurants connected to hotel were great; Duke's Canoe house, Italian restaurant, etc. There were lots of couches and tables on the balcony overlooking the pool. Everything was clean and new. I would recommend it. We were only 10 minutes from Kipu Ranch to go atv on ranch were movies have been filmed, close to Poipu, and Waimea Canyon.

such beautiful grounds with amazing views. Also love that the hotel sits in the middle of the island so it makes it easy to et around in both directions.

It really is a lovely facility. The pool and beach are excellent, and the proximity to shopping and services is great. There were just a few hiccups in service. We had a toilet closet and tub area so small, we had to step into the tub or straddle the toilet to close the door. When I asked about a change of room, the front desk clerk sarcastically said perhaps he could get the core of engineers up there to expand the bathroom and looked at me like I was crazy. Didn't even look at the computer to see about a room change... So I sucked it up and basked in my own aloha spirit, after all I was in Hawaii and that was a minimal problem. On the other hand, a bartender went out of her way to accommodate my diet which was excellent service, and our room cleaning attendant was awesome!

old outdated hotel in the least desirable town on Kauai. I asked for a king bed and they gave us two doubles by an elevator, noise all night, horrible experience and the staff could care less
