This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. The staff was even friendlier and more willing to be accommodating this time. Our room was ready early and we had a beautiful ocean view. They were just purchased by Wyndham hotels and will be starting room make overs. Aloha!

We loved out 2 bedroom 2 bath condo. The ocean view was amazing. We will be staying there again.

We stayed at a 2 bedroom ocean front unit for 4 nights. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel facilities, as well as our unit, are very nice.

We stayed 3 nights in a 2 bedroom Ohana Suite in the Canoe building and loved it. Well, except for the family of rhinos staying above us. We only noticed that in the morning before we left for the day so I'll give the hotel a pass on that. Seriously though, this hotel is well taken care of and in a perfect location. The suite was very spacious and had a nicely appointed kitchen for those not wanting to eat at restaurants. Grocery stores are less than a mile away. The Hotel has easy access to the highway and allows the choice of traveling North to Kapaa or Hanalei or South to Lihue, Poipu or Waimea. This is not a 5 star resort but you aren't paying $500 a night either. I have stayed at Aston properties that weren't as nice. We will definitely stay here again.

Room Guaranteed at 4:00PM? We arrived a bit early at 3:30pm & was told room was not finished. Okay, I understand. At 4, 4:15, 4:30- I was aggravated. Someone finally found me a like room when I explained that I was done being patience & we had dinner reservations at 5:15!

We are a family with young children and stayed at the resort while vacationing. It was a great stay. The room was clean, the resort staff were helpful and friendly and my kids loved the waterfall pool and being so close to the beach. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone staying on Kauai.

Great to have a fully stocked kitchen and washer/dryer. Staff was very helpful when we needed something.

We were given a one bedroom suite, which was more than we expected. We booked less than 2 weeks before our stay. The suite was clean and spacious. My wife loved the large bathroom with 2 sinks and the separate bath/commode. The double balcony was great for relaxing with a cup of coffee and watching the ocean. The restaurant at this property had the best food we ate the entire time we were on the island. The location on the east side of the island is close to the airport and several grocery stores. Be warned that the traffic from about noon till five is horrific whether you're going north or south. The staff is excellent and always warm and friendly. The last warning is be ready for the time share program. If you agree to the presentation you are looking at 90 minutes to 2 hours.

Amazing authentic Hawaiian hotel .. Room decor beautiful and poolside gorgeous with waterfall .. Ambiance was so great. The true Hawaiian experience. The do need higher toilet seats! And maybe a few ice machines. Other than that great! Can't wait to return!!!

Location is great but hotel needs updating. Felt very dated leaving a bit uncomfortable feeling.

Location is nice, but the outdated rooms cancels that out. Kitchen floors felt sticky and decor is dark. Makes it feel like a roach motel. Much better options for the price.

We stayed here for just 3 nights as we island hopped over from Maui. The resort is quiet and relaxing. They have one restaurant and a small bar. Buy and mix your own if drinking during the day is your thing. The room is spacious with a full kitchen, eating area and a little patio or balcony. We love to cook and found the kitchen well equipped and grocery stores very near by. There was plenty of room in the bathroom for dressing and grooming, although it could use better lighting. The bathtub/shower was standard. They provided plenty of towels and the most wonderful smelling organic bar soap I have ever received in a hotel. The décor was very Hawaiian and I loved the character of it. The bedroom had a lovely dark wood poster bed. We rented a car so we could explore, we did not spend any time in the pool, though it looked really nice. The beach was a bit rough but you could easily walk to better spots. It was not over crowded so if you want to lay back and relax, this is the place. They had a really sweet spot cut out of the grass between the pool and the beach that served as a neat sand box for the kids while the parents could lounge nearby. I loved the strategically placed hammocks that were away from the pool noise for an afternoon read/nap. We appreciated the location because you could walk to some wonderful shops, including a place to rent gear for any activities you'd like to partake in. We rented scuba equipment and a cooler, they had bikes and boogie boards, etc. Next door was a fresh Fish Market restaurant/take out where we had the best Ahi Wrap sandwich ever. Evidently its been written about on the Food Network. You could also buy fresh fish to grill. The Kuai Coast Resort also has gas grills for your use. We loved walking back to our balcony to eat while enjoying our own drinks and sides. This shopping center also had a Farmers Market going on while we were there so we indulged in the freshest fruit and veggies. Its an easy drive up to the North Shore or back down to Lihue to take in the sights. We felt we had the best spot for the best price for our purposes. I would stay here again. Mahalo and Aloha!

This was my first time visiting Kaua'i and this place exceeded my expectations. It wasn't one of those places where the property doesn't look anything like the pictures. It was beautiful! My family thoroughly enjoyed our vacation there. We wish we had more time to spend there. The place was clean, staff was friendly and welcoming and we loved that there was everything we needed (washer, dryer, full sized fridge and kitchen) and more (fire pit area, hammocks, waterfall pool and beach). We will definitely be back.

Everything was wonderful. The room, location and food was just wonderful.

All the rooms seem to have good views. Full kitchen and a washer and dryer were great to have. Very nice property and their restaurant was excellent.

Beautiful place and great location! And their restaurant is my favorite on the island. My only complaint is there is no sound insulation between floors. My upstairs neighbors were up at 6am and I could here every foot step. I eventually had to switch rooms. The floor insulation was just as bad but at least my neighbors slept a little later. Other than that the rooms are spacious, beautiful and well appointed. The staff was very nice! This is a great value!

This being our first time to Kauai, the location of the resort was perfect. Easy drive to the north, south and west shores. Located just outside the heart of Kapaa - we often walked to dinner or to get groceries. The room itself was perfect for the 4 of us. It had a full kitchen, which was great since we cooked one meal a day. We had a great view of the beach from our balcony. And the cleaning staff did a great job. We came back to a fresh room every day. However, the sofa bed left something to be desired, but all sofa beds do. The resort restaurant is AMAZING! We ended up dining there twice, we enjoyed it so much. OVerall, it was a great experience!

we do a lot of traveling and that includes several trips to the islands. we have never experienced service and smiles, genuine smiles, as we did at KCR, as they call it. the grounds are in perfect condition. we had a one bedroom unit and it was in great shape and very spacious. great value for the buck! ok, it is a timeshare but if you want to avoid the timeshare pressure, just ignore the phone calls to come to the office for your packet of coupons, etc. also, the restaurant on the premises is rated the best restaurant on the island and i agree it is outstanding. overall, a fine, fine experience.

We reserved a room at this resort for one night and were pleasantly surprised to get a room with the features of a timeshare condo. Everything was excellent.

It was ok but still expensive for the price. It was kind of clean, not up to hotel standards. This was my first stay in a hotel that gave a can of bug spray... Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
