It may have been in fine print but when we checked out we were charged an additional $70 for three days for "resort fee " the clerk showed me a small paper listing what they called free amenities. Well these amenities are not free. And I did not use any of those amenities. Another problem was in the restaurant we ordered the chef special and it was expensive and my spouse could not eat the fish that was supposed to be seared. It was dry. They didn't offer another dish but instead offered free desert. So we asked for a glass of wine. We got attitude from her the next two days. We won't go back to a Hilton for the price we paid.

Great hotel with two pools, walk to the beach or protected cove and playground in the adjacent park.

This hotel is great if you are prepared. Before you do anything get a car. There is a microwave and a refrigerator in the room so you can head to Safeway or Foodland to get breakfast food or cold cuts for lunch. The food at the hotel is so awful, I was actually embarrassed for them. The breakfast buffet is fine if you don't mind $22 per person. But the beaches are spectacular and you are close to everything given that the island is drivable in a day. Don't forget to get a rental car so you can get to better beaches than the one closest to the hotel. The pools are small and there aren't a bunch of chairs or lounge chairs to use by them. But there are plenty of places to hang out around the property. If I had to do it over again, I would get some cheap chairs and an umbrella for the beaches. They also have bikes they will loan out for 2 hour stretches if that is your preferred mode of transportation.

Convenience, clean, fine dinner restaurant . You asked orbitz made an error on our reservation. Booked us a day early. Hotel is nice and well run quiet and peaceful although air conditioner system is very noisy

The hotel was fine. I wasn't there much but it didn't have convenient beach access that I found.

The hotel is oceanside, adjacent on the east to Lydgate State Park with it's bike path, and the Hikinaakala Heiau. Its practically on the banks of the mouth of the Wailua River to the north. It's a short drive South to Lihue, and short drive north to Kaapa. The Fern Grotto Tour and Smith Family Luau areva medium walk or short drive to the west.

We stayed in this hotel for only one night upon arriving into Kauai late. The room was clean and the we went for a walk in the morning along the beach. It is very centrally located and could be a good place to stay for someone that wants to travel most days in Kauai and explore both the north and the south shores. Overall - we were satisfied with this place.

Very nice but a bit out of the way. You will need a car. The beach and park area were the cleanest we've ever seen.

Staff was very welcoming, love the free mai tais, you gotta try the mango mai two slush, the food at thier bar/restaurant was pretty good as well. Pool was nice, and beach access right there, parking wasn't that great, seemed like not enough stalls

It takes only ~1 hr drive from Hilton to get to Napali Coast (North) or to Waimea Canyon (South) - very convenient!

Our power went out every night during our stay.... of course while we were trying to get ready! The bar staff....Jules was absolutely the best! They need to give that women a raise!!! She was funny and very personable!

This hotel was wonderful. The view of the ocean from our room was amazing and the beach was a 1 minute walk away if that. We also got to ride some of the hotels beach cruisers which was a fun bonus. Close to good food and shopping too.

Reception staff reasonably friendly, facility in rather poor condition, no doors/curtains in shower, bathroom door handle broken. Luggage trolleys are like grocery cars as a standard sized one will not fit in the elevators. Hotel gives coupon for 2 free drinks at the onsite bar/restaurant. The cups for these free drinks are smaller than the cups airlines use to serve water.

Hotel was recently remodeled staff was very good room very comfortable price was right highly recommend

Not really fair to fully review as the hotel was under heavy renovation at the time. But the staff were very nice and friendly. The location is awesome, beautiful and scenic, very relaxing. Would love to come back after renovations are done.

It was ok, the hotel has been purchased by a new group, so I expect prices to rise.

Awesome location and a value for being so close to Lydgate State park. Was able to wake up, walk to beach, snorkel, swim and back for a dip in the pool. The place is a little less clean and outdated than other places I've stayed at, yet for the price, I couldn't complain. The staff and service was awesome, everyone that attended had an Aloha spirit. I for sure will stay again.
