Enjoyed the location, cool ocean breeze.Hotel near to shopping mall and food restaurants. Lol

The hotel was fine but didn't have tvs or phones in rooms and facilities were run down and beds in rooms were hard as a rock couldn't sleep very well

Old school, 1970's furnishings, NO TV NO CABLE, POOR INTERNET. But a decent value as prices are out of control.

This lodge is on the beach! There is no restroom if you check-in a bit too early. The best solution to walk to Mc Donald; or wear the swimsuit before you checked in, you can be just on the beach and use it as a restroom, it will wash away by million gallos of ocean water. The staff is accommodating as much when we need a standing fan to cool the room. When you stranded all floght is full, this hotel is okay.

Our hotel room door could not lock, so when we told the front desk they ask if we wanted to put in a work order! That is not our job to do, they should check all rooms and make sure everything works.

motel needs to be updated not very clean excellent location needs lots of work to modernize

We checked in late, but were met by security who helped us with check in. The room was nice and clean. It is an older facility, but a good value for the price. It was not east to find. There was no signage on the highway that was easy to spot.

We checked into the room it smelled very strong of cigarettes, had to open the door and windows to sleep. The walls also had been stained yellow from the nicotine. We reserved an ocean view room but ended up with the POOL HOUSE VIEW. The door to the room was even scary, looked like someone had broken into our room before. The stove top hood was rusty. The room was such a DISASTER, very unsatisfied with this reservation.

My experience at this hotel was horrible. We attempted to check in at the allocated time. The room was not ready. We were given another available room and it was disgusting. Rusted from the outside in. The sliding doors were covered in what seemed like barnacles and could could only be scured with a stick on the inside. NO A/C as described. Please take this location off your site. It is repulsive and of sub standard conditions.

We needed a place for a couple nights after a week in a timeshare. Loved being so close to the ocean and enjoyed leaving the slider open to hear crashing waves. This hotel is in a great location but could definitely use an update. Rooms were clean, have 2 single beds, a mini fridge, coffee pot, no TV, and doors do not close well. We did not plan on spending much time in the room as we were there to enjoy Hawaii.

Hotel was nice and right on the beach. Staff was nice and accommodated a 1pm late checkout. Room was clean and spacious but the bed was a fold up Murphy bed that was absolutely dreadful. Probably one of the 4 worst beds I've ever slept on.

This was a great stay. Quiet, beautiful views. Clean. It's a basic hotel room but your right on the water with the ocean breeze blowing through. We loved staying here and it's the best deal on the island.

Room was okay. Furnishings should be upgraded. View was perfect!

Out dated but clean. Has small kitchenette with coffee maker, plates, cups and silverware making it possible to do simple meals with use of courtyard grill. Great location with 2 grocery stores and other shops just across the street.

Great! Simple hotel with a great view. The Lani was a good place to sit down as the trade winds cooled you really well. The beach is beautiful, as I flew my drone around the coast.

Beautiful location, dated but clean and quite. Rooms are spartan, resort is no frills, but price is a real bargain so you can spend your time on the beach which is right there and your money on dining out. We stayed 1 night while in transition, but would have no issues with longer stay, convenient to everything. Would definitely do it again !! Very Kauai !!

Exactly what i needed, a place to lay my head a few hours every night. Loved the sound of the ocean but wish the roosters would have waited till five a.m. before they started to crow.

Loved it Amazing. Time and the staff Where awsome

This is our second year visiting Kauai and our second time staying at Castle Mokihama. This is a very clean, comfortable place with access to a nice walking beach and nearby shopping available. The local restaurants were good places to eat and we found the desk help very accommodating.

This hotel is well managed, very clean, and has friendly, helpful staff. This was our second stay and we look forward to staying again this spring.
