Stayed here for our honeymoon. Loved the room, location and amenities. Even though there was no air conditioning in the rooms, the fans were fine since we were by the beach. Everything is close by and the beaches were just stunning. The room had everything we needed to keep us comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Grounds were clean. I'd come back again.

Terrific beach in front of the hotel and walking distance to Poipu Beach. Beautifully landscaped grounds. Older but extremely well maintained buildings. 24-hour desk is a plus.

We stayed at the Castle side of Kiahuna Plantation (owned condos) for only $149+ a night and it was beautiful! Very well cared for unit with kitchen(appliances & dishes) & large balcony, linens, maid service, even boogie boards. No AC, but island breeze blows through..very comfortable. Also nearby coffee hut, shopping and restaurants..all within walking. Shop at grocery in East Koloa to stock kitchen. On site laundry. Beautiful, lush manicured grounds. Resort has perfect secluded little oceanfront bay with bright reef fish. Sheraton Auli'i luau is next door. Definitely returning!

Was here for 9nights/10days. Just a walk to the beach since its right in the back/front? Aside from waking up to birds and sprinklers every morning, we have no major complaints. Shopping plaza right across and few mins to restaurants and Kuikuia? Plaza (spelled wrong im sure). Great views on beach for sunsets.

Our flight arrangements put us in Kauai a day early before our planned vacation was to start. I thought I found a good deal with this place. I had to prepay the full amount when the reservation was made however when we arrived and were checking in we were charged an additional $50 cleaning fee. In full disclosure when I pulled out the Orbitz reservation the clerk was able to point out in the "fine print" where the additional cleaning fee was noted. I'm not sure who to be more displeased with Kiahuna Plantation or Orbitz. I guess it depends on who decided bury the cleaning fee disclaimer in the fine print. The room was ok, definitely needed updating. The refrigerator door was rusted on all edges, the bathroom shower was not clean, especially around the window where there was about an inch of dust. All the while making me question what I was paying the extra cleaning fee for. Was it really for cleaning or just a way to make additional money on the reservation. I would not stay at Kiahuna Plantation again as I feel their rate structure is dishonest and misleading. Additionally I have been an Orbtiz user for years and due to this experience I may not use Orbitz again either.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and loved the spacious room! It is walking distance to the beach as well as a few nice restaurants across the street. Easy to drive to many sight-seeing spots and farmers markets!

Second stay at Kiahuna Planation but first time through Castle. This one was substantially upgraded in kitchen and floor tiles. The daily towel service is great and unobtrusive. Grounds are very well kept. Right in the midst of all activities and good shopping.

Excellent time there. Lovely setting, comfy rooms though older, nice to be near the ocean and Poipu area, shops etc. Room was well equipped, nice lanai. Staff friendly. Only objection is the quite high cleaning fee, paid separately (though we did know that in advance) . Swimming pool is nearby but not on the property but is very pleasant, with full exercise facilities.

I really loved this property! It was so friendly and homey. Great location! I was surprised there was no air conditioning though.

- friendly staff - rooms are not so clean, the same the resort premises - cover bed sheeting dirty and unchanged, same think for couch. - in rest everything OK

We've been coming to the Kiahuna Plantation on our yearly Hawaii trip for the past 40 years. We have loved to watched our children and grandchildren develop their swimming skills and spend all day in the Poipu Beach. I am always amazed on how little the hotel has changed and how well the hotel has been maintained. We had a great time in our new ocean view room this year . Aloha

Our son decided to go to Hawaii for his wedding and we booked our stay. The price was right, the location was great. Tons to do at the resort and locally. The Coconut, Macadamia Nut, Banana Pancakes with Syrup were great at the golf course. The rooms were very open and the staff took great care of our needs.

We had stayed here before as have several of our friends. Our condo was very clean and comfortable BUT it was tired and dated. The furniture was in poor shape and the bed was too soft and uncomfortable. The hotel staff was eager too please but the other condos they showed us were not in that much better condition They placed a piece of plywood between the mattress and that solved the problem The grounds are beautiful and we had our best meal of the trip at the Plantation restaurant. Management needs to inspect the condos and bring them up to standard.

We only stayed at the Kiahuana Plantation Hotel for one night at the end of our vacation but it was a comfortable and cute place to stay. The room would've been a great place to stay for a few more days with all of the amenities of an apartment (fridge, stove, patio). The room was very clean and had nice updates - beautiful shower!! The grounds are very nice and the location is great. Would recommend.

This resort met all my requirements and more. The condo was larger than expected, provided beach toys, cooler and the kitchen was well stocked. King Bed was comfortable. NOTE: NO AIR CONDITIONING IN ANY UNITS. Fans are in the room to help circulate air and make the room cooler. Temperature was tolerable since we weren't in the room much. Be ready to live with a few bugs. Units were sprayed for bugs while we were there and that helped. Otherwise great value for the money.

We were here for our anniversary. We loved all the room we had in the condo. It felt like our own little home with beautiful views of gardens and huge trees. Hotel is kept clean inside and the grounds our perfectly landscaped. It was nice having a full kitchen and BBQ to cook on. Can't beat the beach access to Poipu, water is perfect and snorkeling is so fun. This place doesn't make you feel like your in a hotel room because of all the space in the condo and outside. Perfect beaches for kids too. Awesome value.

The hotel is located in a good area - close to town, shopping areas, and the beach. It is situated on a nicely manicured property with good landscaping and plentiful outdoor areas to enjoy. However, the room was dilapidated and dirty, making our stay uncomfortable and stressful. The room was infested with bugs. We encountered many cockroaches and other large insects that scurried under the cracks between the floor boards and crowning of the walls. There were bugs crawling out of our hand bags and other personal belongings when left anywhere in the room (on chairs, coffee tables, dining table etc.). We found many cockroaches in our bathtub, as the person at the front desk mentioned how they come out to drink water. She explained that cockroaches in Kauai are very common and the siting of these creatures should be compared to seeing lizards and birds. The cleaning crew did the very minimal - only replaced towels. Many times they failed to even make our beds, take out our garbage, or even provide any additional trash bags when we threw out the trash on our own. Overall, I would not recommend this place or stay here ever again.

It was great to have a kitchen, too far from the beach. Asked about upgrading and nothing was offered or available. Could use some updating.

As the renter, we were not as welcome as the owners who own units in this resort. the staff was off-handish. the room was unoccupied when we arrived at 8.30 am and yet we had to wait till check-in time... no regard to the fact that we had been on the road for a while !! similarly, on checkout, they didnt offer a courtesy room to refresh or change into and we needed it as we spent time on the beach and then had to take a flight. carefull about the cleaning charges....no clean up was required (or done) during our 3-day stay, and still charges on per day basis were charged. be aware that there are 2 properties, castle and outrigger...... so make sure that you specify which one you would like to be in, to be picked up at when going on tours, etc. location was good, surroundings were definitely plantation style and very pleasing.

Arrived about 4 pm waited in line to check in for quite awhile only to find we had no reservation, so more waiting. I had my itinerary with the reservation on it and they did find us a room, they said they upgraded us but I seriously doubt it.. we were as far from the beach as you could get and next to the road, which could get noisy. The bed was comfortable but the sheets were a strange nylon fabric with plastic covered pillows. The kitchen area was functional but hurting. The location was great and if I were to go back I would find some place else in the area to stay with a view!
