I had booked using “Pay at hotel” option. When I checked in I offered to pay. The front desk person told me that I could pay at the time of departure. I went to my room and found mosquitoes. A day after my stay, the lady at the front desk called me to drop by the front desk. I asked why. She said just to say hello. I came to the front desk and introduced myself. The lady at the front desk said that I need to make the full payment now, not during checkout. I told her why did she have to lie to me to come down just to say hello. This hotel is managed by a bunch of people who lack ethics and professionalism. I would never go this hotel again.

Small boutique environment. Exceeded expectations! Common areas were great, room was good too. Only complaint…my booking included airport transfer but my final bill also had an airport transfer charge. Highly recommend!

Unbelievable hotel in the heart of the Thamel. Highly recommended.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Taleju Boutique hotel. I arrived hot and tired after 30 hours of travel and I was greeted and cared for in a way that made me feel immediately safe and welcome. The room and bed were super-clean and comfortable. The food quality and variety was excellent and I could choose whatever I felt in the mood for trying - Nepali, Indian, American, Italian, etc. For a delectable experience, please try the chocolate pudding! It is freshly made and comes with coconut flakes and a red maraschino cherry and is 4 times the size of a USA portion. The best part of staying here was the staff. And especially the manager, Sanjay. I was nervous about navigating the city, walking through the narrow, winding streets, and each day before I left, Sanjay helped me with my plans, gave easy to understand directions, and helped me gain confidence in asking people for directions. In general people here were helpful and willing to direct you each step of the way. Sanjay also took an interest in how I fared when I came back each day, wanting to see pics I took and telling me about his experiences. I felt well-looked after. The staff are amazing in their friendliness and professionalism: Abhin, Morkha, Samiryada and others I forgot their names, but made such a positive impact just the same. The rates are more than reasonable for the value I received. I would stay here again, and stay longer, the next time I come! THANK YOU! ❤️

Nice beds and bathroom on quiet street near busy Thamel area. Good food too and excellent service.
