Super 8 - Platte City/KCI Airport

Minimal breakfast area and selection. Cereal, packaged sweet rolls, toast, milk, and orange juice. Barely adequate.

Clean. Expensive minimal breakfast. No fruit no yogurt waffle mix was like water. just white bread. One family cleaned out the food because there was so little of it there was only 3hot chocolate mixes. For the price we paid it unacceptable

this hotel was good for a quick get in and out, as most motel 8 nothing special

I specifically asked for a non smoking room and the room smelled so dingy and like wet ciggarettes I couldnt even sleep. I got 1-2 hours of sleep because it was so awful and the windows are so thin all i could hear was thunder. I decided to just ask for another room that didnt smell so bad and they refused. I again mentioned it to the front desk guy on my way out at 6 am because I couldnt sleep and he just said heres your receipt and walked away. I wasnt rude or demanding he just didnt care. I stay at Super 8's quite often and this one was AWFUL.

Good motel for nascar week end. Good resturants around hotel

Nothing special, the carpet needs to be cleaned, unpleasant smell in the hallways but you always get what you pay for....

Tried to reserve a handicap/double/double, but only a single/double/handicap was available. Not as comfortable (we sleep in separate beds at home due to handicap) but we managed to survive the double..

It's a clean hotel, but nothing fancy. We stayed there when we went to Nascar races at Kansas Speedway and it's about a 15 minute drive.

Nice stay. Pool but no hot tub. Continental breakfast was simple, no frills.

Nothing fancy but clean and well kept, very quiet building.

This was the worst hotel experience I ever had. The staff was rude and tried to demand a signed imprint of my credit card. The woman behind the desk was rude and yelled at me. The continental breakfast consisted of a pack of honey buns and stale bagels. The bed was made with the mattress pad in between the fitted and flat sheets and room furniture was in bad repair. Our room was supposed to have a microwave. The microwave was actually located in the lobby, and the back security door was never locked.

Didn't like the processing in when we arrived - not friendly. Bathroom had small mole/stain in tub area.

My son and I only needed an inexpensive place to stay since we were going to a concert in downtown K.C. we were not going to be at the hotel much. Considering the price I didn't expect much in way of luxury, which was the case, but what really took me back was when we returned to the room around 2 in the morning after using the restroom and getting in the shower, I noticed the toilet overflowed and water was everywhere. I immediately called the front desk to have someone come fix the problem and clean up the water, but instead the person didn't seem to understand me and I could barely make out her voice on the other end. She told me to come to the front desk, so I did and she proceded to hand me a plunger and a few rags to clean things up. The woman "working" the desk then proceded to walk away and go back to her room without inquiring any further..OUCH!! Needless to say I was not happy and I proceded to fix the toilet myself and mopped up the floor. The next morning I reported all of this to the gentleman at the front desk and he said he saw the report written in the evening log book and just said he was sorry and that was all. I didn't feel the need to argue with him since I knew if would get me nowhere, so I am letting all of you know to avoid this hotel at all costs. Not worth it, spend a few more dollars and enjoy your stay somewhere else.

The hotel was adequate, Clean rooms, warm beds, and working (really well) air conditioner. We stayed during the Irish Festival, and the room was really priced WAY more than it was worth. Also, two of the other area hotels provided shuttle service to the Festival. This hotel did not. So, to ride the shuttle, you had to pay far more than if you stayed at the hotels who had the shuttle. Next time will book earlier, and get into one of the other hotels.

I was very happy to get this hotel. It saved the hassle of driving early (I mean early) in the morning. It had just snowed and my wife didnt know the exact route to the airport. So that saved a lot of headache. The staff was competent and friendly. eVerything went great.

you get a clean room for your money

The room was freezing cold and took a while to warm up. I could not understand the front desk person's English very well. I also was dissappointed with the complimentary breakfast.

The hotel was not updated, it still had very old tvs, old mattress, the carpet was very warn out, the pool wall paintings were peeling. It was not a good hotel experience.

Although I had a scheduled late arrival, I was greeted with couresty. Since I was traveling alone, it was important to me to feel safe and comfortable. The room was clean and had all the amenities I needed. The breakfast brunch however was almost too functional and lacked a fresh, welcoming appearance. Food was however fresh. I personally don't like powdered creamer in my coffee and that was all that was available. I would stay there again remembering I felt safe arriving there late at night.

Easy to find, close to the interstate, and close to the airport. A good hotel for a one night stay.
