Super 8 Lees Summit

Okay, Super 8 is an inexpensive hotel so we expect less, but that is no excuse for stained sheets that have numerous hairs left in them. Upon asking, they did replace the sheets and bedcover with apologies. The bed stands were filthy. On the other hand, the bathroom was clean and the room had a microwave and refrigerator:

Has a terrible smell at the entrance and hallway. Otherwise the room smell fresh.

You come up over a hill before you can see the building. I was sad that there was only one way in and that was the only way out of the parking lot. Breakfast was over at 9AM. No exceptions. The pool was easy to get to.

Lobby/room not clean , I reserved a king N/S room and I was given a obviously smoking ( smell and cig burns in furniture, Even though rm sign said NS . Chairs were Thoroughly stained (Gross). and the room was 2 Queens .

Well our non-smoking room stunk like old cigarettes, there were burn holes in the blankets. There was a sock shoved under the table from a previous visitor. The pool room smelt like sewage and the tub faucet constantly dripped. I suppose that's what you get for $60.

The hotel wasn't too bad once you got past the horrible smell of the lobby. The beds were like a rock, and it had the smallest hotel TV I've ever seen, but it wasn't bad on a budget. The complimentary breakfast was very minimal.

GOOD: The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. BAD: They refused to give us an extra pillow, there were old nasty french fries under the chair, a cockroach in the bathroom, our non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke, they didn't clean our room once during our stay, and the continental breakfast that's supposed to be open until 9 was totally shut down before 8:45.

Free breakfast wasn't too bad. Did not like the fact I had to contact customer service in order to get connected to WiFi, which I needed for work. There was no shampoo/conditioner in room.

Our room smelled bad. It was musty and smelled moldy. One of our lights did not work. The evening front staff was not very helpful.

The only real complaint I had about my stay is that there was no shampoo to use in the bathroom to take a shower. Would have been a better stay if shampoo was provided.

We really liked our room and everything about it. The only thing we didn't like was it was not pet friendly.

A total stay was okay.my only complaint is that room service came by every morning at nine a.m. One has to come back and they never bother to come

Well Done! We enjoyed our stay and probably will return whenever we go to Kansas City.

The hotel is quite difficult to drive up to from the highway. I arrived late, about 12 am, and all the parking places were taken except for a disabled space, the only one, since a taxicab and a pickup occupied the other two spaces. Fortunately, I had a disabled sticker. I have a bad left knee and so was not happy to learn that there was no elevator to the second floor, where the room assigned to me was. That room was only barely decent..It seemed clean but smelled bad, mainly of cigarette smoke. The bathroom sink and the tub are cracked and discolored.. The bedside clock radio was not working. The lights controlled by the entrance switch did not light. Overall, the motel needs a complete remodelling. It's shabby and down at the heel. I was visiting relatives nearby and needed only a good place to spend the night. I didn't try the breakfast, having had a negative experience with so-called continental breakfasts elsewhere. Another problem is that the only restaurant close by is the Perkins right in front of Hotel 8. The Hotel 8 in Lee's Summit is not a good value but it can just barely suffice.

the only thing i didnt like was the rooms were paper thin, you could here someone talking on the phone in the next room. plus the parking lot was not cleared off when it snowed and it was a couple days after it snowed.

The "superstar" breakfast left a lot to be desired. They did not keep the area clean or empty trashes every day. Several days had to ask for refills of items. Left large clumps of dried mud and dirt on carpets in hallways for three days. Had a lot of snow but they didn't plow their lot and I had to walk through the snow and slush each day.

I'm giving only 3's because I don't want to misguide anybody. We didn't stay here because of a mix-up with the reservations. They handled our refunds quickly and were so polite during the process. A great location to everything in Lee's Summit and super nice people. We will definitely stay here in the future!

I was there for a week to try to find a place to live, and the morning staff was very courteous and really made sure you felt like a customer

It was quiet. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean.

Hotel and room were dirty, hairs everywhere, ants, sheets did not look like they were changed, carpet had not been swept, table was sticky, etc...
