Wow what a nice place on the water of the river. Nice room with terras on the water. We do not have hot water so we try to make the reception understand. Why are they not speaking English when there are only foreigners in the hotel? They solve it in the end. The food is buffet style and included. The food is totally tasteless. This is not even Thai for foreigners. Very bad. Breakfast buffet is better. All in all, gorgeous place on the river, with average service and especially BAD food. Think before you go!
This was probably my favourite hotel during our month travelling around Thailand (and there was some tough competition!). The hotel is secluded on a quiet stretch of the river and the surrounding scenery is stunning. The rooms were beautiful, so airy and stylishly designed, and the room's private decking has a bench swing (as well as other seats) where you can sit while appreciating the views - so idyllic! You can also borrow life-jackets and jump into the water from your decking and bob effortlessly downstream to the end of the hotel where there's a ladder to pull yourself out - this is particularly good if you are in one of the most upstream rooms, which we were. All the staff members we spoke to were very friendly and polite, and the food and drinks at the onsite restaurant were good. This place isn't close to lots of amenities (although you can book day trips to local attractions), so it is perfect for a peaceful getaway, but not for people who want lots of activities onsite.
Probably one of the best hotel around, but don't expect too much... even if the concept of floating houses is attractive and part of the regional tradition, it is a bit disappointing. Comfort is not so high, it is noisy during the day from 6:30 am and after a few hours it is getting boring. Food at the restaurant is average ! Don't go to the Mon show...
Very relaxing room on the river . Waking up in front of the water is great and the room has all amenities of a 5* hotel including very good wifi despite the remote location The bungalow hosts well our family of 4 (incl 2 children 11 and 8) You can swim in the river by the hotel which is a great experience
This was an excellent place to stay. The staff were impeccably helpful without being over powering. The room was wonderfully styled and cleverly designed. Whoever designed the hotel did an amazing job. The deck at the rear of the cabin on the river was great for sunbathing / reading. The view from the bed when the doors were open was unprecedented. The washroom facilities were clean and styled to feel fitting for the location. The restaurant was reasonably priced and offered a good variety of food. The buffet breakfast varied each day and included many interesting options. Everything was of excellent quality. From the first moment we were in the river taxi we were spellbound. This was a unique experience that my wife and I enjoyed very much. If you get a chance then stay at the Float House.
Arriving by boat up the river is in itself an adventure - will it be around the next turn? The rooms are wonderful, staff is great, and surroundings of a fairytale. We visited with our boys 8 and 9 years old, and all 4 of us loved it. Spent 2 hours doing the "float down the river" - what a thrill! I woke up very early next morning, and watched the sunrise over the river and jungle from the dock of our room - beautiful!! Truely a unique experience!!! Highly recommendable.
Big clean rooms in a lush location were you think you are in paradise. Staff a range all activity. Great food. The start at the pier is a adventure for children. Boat brings you to the hotel in 15 minutes. Check in efficient.
OMG, what an amazing and memorable place. We stayed for 3 nights in early May as part of a 3week tour of Thailand and we haven't been able to get this place out of our mind since. From the 10min long boat ride in and the first view of the floating houses to the actual experience of staying there in such luxuriously large rooms, the food, and the floating down the river in a life jacket....it was so wonderful, and so unexpected. A villa like this in the Maldives would cost the earth and whilst you might not have a beach here you have so much else...such great value for money. Even in an early monsoon rain storm we couldnt have enjoyed it more. On our last full day, coming back from a day tour, there was an issue with us being able to get a long boat back to the hotel - something about river inspectors making a visit and stopping all tourist boats whilst they did. I do hope that this isn't a sign of things changing as for us this was an amazing experience which we'd like others to continue to have in much the same way we did. Thank you
Highly recommended- unique and beautifully serene. Staff are really helpful and the rooms are great - all with a river side decking. My 2nd time Here and I'd definitely come back for a 3rd time. A bit more expensive than other floating villages but worth it. I also took the kayaking but that's pretty boring... A morning run across in the mountains in great fun and really beautiful.
This place is worth a visit if you want to stay away from city, The staff were very helpful and friendly. For the room, Overall is good, the room is spacious and clean with very nice view of Kwai Noi River. Value for the money.
