I like the location right on the beach and close to Lahaina. Had nice open grass areas for lounging. Rooms could be updated but were fine. This was our 2nd stay because of the affordability.

Nothing much unique. No USB ports. Furniture a bit old and scuffed, but clean. My room location was next to the stairs on the third floor and very noisy with suitcases being banged up and down the stairs. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Grounds were nice.

Old property but we knew that. Many activities within reach and shuttle bus was convenient. Great breakfast buffet. Loved the bread pudding!

The property fronts a beautiful beach. Snorkeling and body surfing are easily accessible. A number of restaurants and shopping are less than 1000 feet away. The grounds are well kept. Parking fee is reasonable (rent a convertible!). The best thing was a complimentary shower room. Our check out was at 11:00 and our flight was at 6:30. We hung out on the beach until 2:00 and then had access to a guest room to shower and clean up before making the drive to the airport—no charge. The staff was very friendly. I was impressed!

The front end manager was absolutely horrible. There was no ownership around the issue and there was no thought on keeping the customer happy or providing and solutions. Her response was, "I am providing solutions, you just don't like those solutions." I manage a multi-million dollar business and if I or any of my employees provided the level of customer service that this hotel did I would no longer have anything to manage.

Very nice and friendly people that working there that makes you feel that you're part of the Maui family and they was Happy to have me there on their beautiful Island

This is a very old hotel. Although it’s very close The Whale

We love all the friendly staff and food! The Tiki terrace was a great hang out for Happy Hour! We love the location!!

On the plus side, this hotel is a beautiful location, w/ peaceful parklike grounds . . the rooms are slightly oversized . . most of the staff were very welcoming . . On the not so positive side, the property is pretty old and worn and dated . . the entry area, while perhaps authentic in terms of artwork and culture, was a lowish flat ceiling budget hotel feeling . . the patio dining was nice, w/ ok food but not premium . . there were tiny bugs in the room swarming if u left a beverage or food out . . Overall, this hotel was priced lower than it's surrounding competitors . . if your goal is to be on the beach for a lessor price, this hotel meets that goal . . but I wouldn't recommend this place, nor would I stay here again . .

Great maintained grounds. Disappointed with the service at the Tiki Bar. Also disappointed with the condition of the room. Very old. No fridge

Accepting the beach. Not a dislike but just an update of the resort.
