Super 8 by Wyndham Sonora

The hotel was surprisingly nice, and we’ll maintained. The bed was comfy. The only complaint was the pipes made noise at night, but we just closed the door and turned on the fan. I would stay here again. Our housekeeper Dallas did a nice job getting our room ready for us.

For a road stay, the room was clean and well maintained.

Was clean. A/C and bathroom fan were defeaning. No shampoo. Breakfast was disappointing as they only had packaged muffins and coffee was awful.

This is an old hotel but it has been redone and is aesthetically pleasing. However, I think it was redone cheaply and can’t compare to other hotels. The doors need to be replaced to properly fit and the walls are paper thin. The first room I got put in there was a gap all around the door big enough to put my finger all the way in. I did not feel safe. The second room had a smaller gap near the bottom that was easier to deal with. We could hear the people on either side of us until they went to sleep around 11, after all day on the road I wanted to get to bed early and get up early for another day on the road but I could hear both of their TVs going as well as their kids jumping and screaming. In a normal hotel, this sound would have been muted. Finally, the beds are very stiff and the pillows are like boulders. It may be a cheap stay but it’s not worth the money. I will drive an extra 30 minutes next time to stay at a Holiday Inn.

The room was newly remodeled and nicely done. I wish there would have been a coffee maker in the room, though. Also, the mattress is very stiff which wouldn’t have been too bad if the pillows aren’t also hard as rocks. I think some softer pillows should have made a huge difference. The office clerk was very nice and came right away to replace batteries in my TV remote when I called her.
