Typical economy hotel marred by heavy cigarette smell in the non-smoking rooms.

The police came to serve a search warrant on a man in one of the rooms, he shot a cop, and there was a couple hour stand off. 4 or more hours this went on, And obviously we didn't be at the hotel. I had no problems with the hotel or staff, only that.

I ended up here because my normal hotel screwed up my reservation. For the money this hotel was great. However it's in a bad location. And while we were there a cop was shot upstairs trying to serve a search warrant on another guest. He then wouldn't come out and swat came and this went on for hours while we weren't allowed back in r rooms or near hotel. Other than that lol, it was great.

Everything about the Econolodge was generally OK but my room was not welcoming. Very dated room decor/furniture/colors, carpet was worn and dirty, and ventilation seemed non-existent. Otherwise, the facilities themselves were more than adequate for my needs and the staff was great.

Took an hour to get checked in then key card didn't work, elevator was out of order, vending machine was out of order.

Hey, nice stop for the bucks. Formerly a Baymont Hotel. Lots of room in the room. Staff was nice & courteous.

It's convenient to the interstate and shopping. The room was clean but the bathroom faucet needed repairs. All in all a good value for the room

We were glad to see how welcoming and courteous the staff were when we checked into the hotel. We were given all the necessary information to seamlessly check in and get settled. We were told that the outdoor pool was open until 10PM and the indoor pool didn't close! We were thrilled - when we got in our room the staff called to make sure everything was acceptable - this was very nice. The problem began when we went to the outdoor pool and discovered there were a LOT of guests there that didn't have room reservations at the hotel! They were coming from the parking lot area, other hotels without pools, and it was non-stop. None of the guests seemed to have any hesitation about doing this (as if it were acceptable) and people just KEPT coming from outside the pool area. They were loud and letting endless amounts of their friends into the pool area. Our guess was upwards of about 25-30 people at one point. There were no chairs or table available either - just 1 table and 4 chairs (dirty and broken). The outdoor pool wasn't locked - this was very frustrating and it was really uncomfortable for our family. My girls were pushed out of the way by this large loud group of people. If a guest is looking for a quiet, secure outdoor pool area that is for PAYING guests only this is DEFINITELY not the hotel to reserve a room. We will definitely NOT return again - our main reason for booking were the amenities - specifically, the pool. We recommend that others book elsewhere as well.

Very nice hotel for a road trip very clean staff wonderful nice pool and spa and breakfast had nice set up would stay again

We really enjoyed our overnight stay. Rooms were clean with nice amenities. We enjoyed the pool being open 24 hours. What a great idea! We swam right after breakfast for 90 minutes, much to the enjoyment of our children. Next time through Joplin we will stay there again.

It's an older Hotel that's not well kept but They serve a good breakfast and are close to I44

short stay in Joplin, MO for business. friendly staff, good breakfast, close to everything. hotel was very good deal compared to others in area.

Traveling and on the road all day. Easy to get to. Fair price and clean.

Had a terrible stay. When I checked in, I was told that there was NO hot water at that time. I was told that they would have it working before morning...they did not. I was not offered any sort of compensation for the lack of hot water. Could not shower in the morning. Room was fairly clean, but nothing great. Building was run-down. NEEDS HELP. Would rather sleep in my car than this place!!!!

Accessible is terrible, no help at the front desk when checked in or call. Not enough towel and amenities.

The hotel was filled around school graduations and was subject to traveling, un-godly church groups (just kids being kids late at night - nothing bad, just loud). The rate was average by today's pricing and would be unfair to compare the hotel with those costing half again more. The hotel is fine for me traveling through. The hotel is not memorable, either way. It is what it is and serves its purpose. The staff is very fine. - friendly and responsive. Waffle House next door for a quick launch in the morning. 24x7 fuel station nearby.

Besides smelling like an assisted living complex, Baymont wasn't all that bad. The hot breakfast was awesome and the beds were comfy.

Affordable & convenient. Very pleasant staff. TV reception leaves a lot to be desired. Poor water drainage in the bathtub. Stale smell, probably due to cigarettes, even though it was a nonsmoking area. Breakfast lady not pay attention to supplies. Socializing with clients, while they were out of also most every item. Took her almost 30mins to restock, when I finally got her attention. Original room assigned to was dirty and to made up. Once I brought it to their attention, they were apologetic and resigned me to another room with poor tv reception. This must have been just a bad weekend. I have stayed here 3 times before & my experience was much better. First floor is very noisy, with housekeeping knocking on doors announcing themselves selves, starting about 8am.

My travel was for business so I was looking for a clean room in a good location. I got what I was looking for. Very helpful staff, a good breakfast and very quite.

good experience, rooms are acceptable but not luxurious
