The front desk clerk was pleasant and friendly, and the lobby area was very nice. However, I can't say the same for our room. The room door was filthy. The small love seat in the room was disgusting and dirty (see photo). There was mold on the bathroom ceiling (see photos) and the back of the toilet seat was just gross (see photo). There is no fan in the small bathroom which is a necessity and could also be the reason that there is mold on the ceiling (in addition to the fact that they don't clean very well). If there had been any other hotel rooms available in the area, we would have left. Regardless of the decent price of $92 which includes tax, I would NOT recommend this hotel.
This hotel is located just off the interstate. We were stopping for the night and came upon this Quality Inn as it is the first hotel we see. It's reasonably priced and surprisingly clean and neat. The staff is very nice, even the guests who shared a cake with us! The breakfast is simple but sustainable.
We were invited to join the manager for a meal because most local spots were closed Mondays. Anita Darnell served up tasty hotdogs, chili, cole slaw & more. Breakfast good, too. Clean, cheery & comfy!
Pleasantly surprised! Very friendly and helpful staff, clean, updated with several nice amenities. Good breakfast! Because it was Monday and most of the restaurants were closed, they offered a good, simple meal for dinner which was also complimentary. Beds were very comfortable! Would definitely stay there again!
I am in the hotel business. Very picky on hotels outside of the chain I work for. Typically exterior corridor hotels are cheap and places I refuse to take my family to. This hotel is an exception. Rooms are very clean. People are very nice. Breakfast area and breakfast is above average. My only complaint (of which is due to me being in the hotel business) is the air/heat units. The one in our room was probably 20+ years old and had no thermostat. Should replace with new age ptacs.
Spend the extra $15 and stay at a Hilton. Our first room smelled so bad like smoke my son nearly had an asthma attack and the second room was just musty. Blankets were worst quality I'd ever felt and felt like plastic or damp. The AC made the loudest sound all night but if you turned it off you'd sweat so either way you won't sleep. These were rooms 244 and 248. It was a dirty terrible experience and I learned my lesson. Horrible way to end our vacation.
Older hotel but nice with a personalized touch. Very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you Tammy. They seem to be constantly updating. Our 2nd floor room had new bedspread, curtains and towels. Great breakfast. Will stop by again!
All outside rooms are not my favorite, but I needed a pet friendly hotel. Needed to keep the drapes closed on a first floor room because of foot traffic and this made the room exceptionally dark. Room and breakfast area were clean, but in need of an update.
On our way up to N.Y. , we decided to go off the beaten path(I-95) and head up I-77. The Quality inn, formerly Comfort Inn, fit our needs. The Lobby is eclectic...very nicely decorated and the front registration staff were polite and efficient. The regular room, with 2 queen beds was clpaw to the Indoor pool and outside patio, which we took advantage of. It was also close to some good southern country restaurants.
I was in town for a Friday/Saturday wedding rehearsal & ceremony at nearby Cody Creek. This hotel was one of my options. The price was right. Every staff member I engaged with from the front desk to the breakfast staff was in a super mood, talkative, and helpful. Room was large and clean. No complaints here. Only wish my stay wasn't so brief.
