Comfort Inn Somerset

2.5 out of 5.0

The big plus was a pet-friendly environment. The staff was very pleasant, especially for a holiday weekend. The housekeeper, Elaine, was very attentive, and the morning breakfast was good. A swimming pool and exercise room were a bonus. There is a bar/lounge on the ground floor, and Jen the bartender made very nice conversation.

Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff member went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything that we needed.

On our recent vacation, we stayed in 4 different motels traveling from S.C. To N.Y. To Ohio and then back. We booked places based upon reasonable rates and were most pleased with our stay at the Comfort Inn in Somerset, Pa. Of all the places we stayed, it had the largest, most comfortable rooms.l

They told us when we got there that it was a pet friendly room because we booked it online they said no other room was avalible that stinks in my book.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and there was a good breakfast.

We've always stayed in Somerset when the kids have had ski races at 7 Springs. This is my 2nd stay at the Comfort Inn. Overall, it is a decent, reasonably priced place to stay in near proximity to 7 Springs it is certainly much more reasonable than the 7 Springs Hotel. The refrigerator & microwave in the room make it easy to keep food for lunches and snacks. The breakfast is quite meager --especially if you are planning to be on the slopes all day.

We liked the location and the value of the room. However, a non-smoking room had a distinct tobacco smoke odor and so did the hallway. Somehow the ability to keep smoke out of that part of the hotel wasn't working well, because other parts of the hotel were actually fine. We should have asked for a room change at check in, but didn't think about it until we were leaving the next morning.

Good price, nice staff, clean, the breakfast was delicious and great location for snowboarding.

[...]My card was charged days before our scheduled check in time, [...] The hotel was completely booked for the weekend, so we had to take the smoking room (because I had already paid for it). The room was very nice and clean, except for the smell of smoke on the sheets, blankets, chair and towels. Nothing better then getting out of the shower all clean and having to dry off with a towel that smells like smoke. [...]

Old, moldy smelling, not very clean, loud.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was very courteous. The room was quiet although it took a while for the heater to get it warmed. The continental breakfast was okay for what it was. There was a waffle maker, bagels, muffins, bananas, apples, cereal and oatmeal. The hotel is nothing to write home about but the fact that it was clean and quiet made me happy!

It was a good stay. There were not many people there because of a snow storm appoaching but it was nice.

only was there to sleep and breakfast

Very good location. Staff was very friendly.

We attended a family reunion. The hotel is very nice. The room could have been cleaner but overall it was pretty nice.

Liked guitar player in lounge, but disappointed at no dancing on excellent dance floor on a Saturday night. Need bartender who knows stingers and rusty nails.

The workers were all very friendly. The housekeeper brought me a welcome basket. It was lovely.

The hotel was the perfect stop for a long trip. Although you have to pay a toll to get to it, the hotel is perfect for a overnight layover. The restaurant, Eat and Park, is within walking distance or a short drive, and perfect to grab a late night snack. The hotel room was very comfortable and relaxing. Holiday Inn would definitely be considered when planning another trip. The breakfast was not complimentary, but the price for a dish with eggs and toast was rather inexpensive (around 3 dollars). Alot healthier than going to the McDonald's unless you prefer the fast food.

THE HOTEL WAS FINE. IT'S BUSY ARE DURING SKI SEASON AND THE PLACE WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE.

Clean... Smelled clean... Air was on... Great
