I recently organised a special family holiday at the Atlantic having not been to the hotel for 20 years. From the initial contact with reception to the stay itself, everything was fantastic. Lovely staff, fantastic food, lovely room, very relaxing. I will definitely be back one day, as will my parents. Thank you!
We have stayed here a couple of times recently and it a very nice place to stay whilst on business in Jersey. Rooms are comfortable with all the usual amenities. On our first visit the heating was turned up way too high so rooms were very uncomfortable, however on our second visit this issue had been resolved. On both occasions there was a red rose in a vase in the bathroom, a nice touch but sadly after 3 or 4 nights it was still there and looking very sorry for itself. The food here is delicious, however service is very formal and stuffy. The staff are all lovely if you get them talking and they relax a bit.
The Atlantic is a beautiful hotel - a perfect get away even for a local resident! Staff couldn’t have been more helpful throughout the stay, every query or request easily resolved - perfect balance of attentive but not intrusive. The hotel is so relaxing like a haven and it has a great location to get out and explore by foot. Jacuzzi pool and sauna are some of the best in the island for such a hotel and food is simply amazing! Highly recommended and will be back again for sure
We stayed at The Atlantic for 3 nights, what a fabulous hotel! Our room was very well furnished, the bed was very comfortable. We had tea and coffee with fresh milk and fresh fruit in the room. There was an excellent choice for breakfast including various cooked dishes made to order; the eggs Benedict were delicious. We also had dinner one night in the Oceans restaurant. The food was superb, a real treat for the taste buds. The spa/gym/pool area was quite small, unfortunately the jacuzzi was not working at the time of our visit. There is also an outdoor pool. The staff at the Atlantic are wonderful; professional, friendly and welcoming, they just make me want to go back and visit again.
We have been coming here a few years now. Not so much recently.........after today, much more! Every element was superb, from the welcome, the food, (best ever) and service. All staff so friendly and knowledgeable. The new team is a success already and plans for the future sound very exciting. Well done. So fortunate to have you only a couple of miles from home. Who needs London?! Thank you
We booked in out stay with a delightful young lady named Charlotte. Our welcome at the Atlantic was lovely with the porter coming out to our car to help bring in our cases and as it was raining it was very much appreciated. At reception we were aquatinted with the hotel manager Nicholas Walley who greeted us so warmly and introduced us to his amazing staff. We were upgraded to a sea view room which gives you views over the grounds, La Moye golf club and out to St Ouens bay.The rooms are lovely and comfortable and have everything you would need for a memorable stay with the housekeeping staff attending to anything that you may need. The Atlantic has a renewed energy and vibrancy which shines through in the lovey welcoming staff. We booked in for dinner at the Ocean restaurant which is not to be missed with it relaxed atmosphere and delightful staff. Will Hollands food is a real feast for the eyes and the soul. The restaurant is currently developing a select diners room where you can be treated to a tasting menu which will be a show case for Will Hollands food.We must give a special mention to Stephen the Ocean restaurant Sommelier who's extensive knowledge of wine and lovable homour made our night. We also enjoyed our afternoon tea which was to die for, again special mention to Jaroslev Sedlacek the charming food and beverage manager who was on hand to keep us supplied with all the treats that make a traditional afternoon tea. If you want a relaxing totally spoiled experience then the Atlantic is for you, the amazing sunsets are also not to be missed. We have not covered everything the Hotel can offer as you must come to Jersey to experience it for yourselves. We will be back for more spoiling very soon 5 star!
Atlantic hotel has exceeded all the expectations. We had lovely seeview room. Receptionist were amazing as well as the restaurant . Dinner at the Ocean restaurant was showcase Michelin standart food and service. We will be back soon.
Visited here for Lunch on Sunday with my son and wife. It was an amazing experience especially after staying in another 5 star hotel in st Brélade that did not deliver. The staff were amazing the gin and cocktail menu and cocktail barmen out of this world. Food and service along with surroundings restored my faith in jersey hotels. I will be staying here on next visit. Best roast beef ever!!
We rated the Atlantic Hotel, St Brelade, the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We chose it partially for the good reviews, but also for proximity to our family’s cottage on St Brelade’s Bay, some 5 minutes drive from the hotel. Hotels in Jersey seem to be more expensive than those on the UK Mainland, but in terms of comfort, facilities, and quality of service the Atlantic Hotel was well worth the money. The hotel is well situated for easy access to the airport, the spectacular St Brelades’beaches, a verity of golf courses from championship to a more casual level, and great walking and cycling opportunities. The bird reserve 10 minutes drive up the coast features marsh harriers and over-wintering bitterns as well as large numbers of snipe, ducks etc. The hotel is large enough to justify full spa facilities, swimming pool etc, but is not so large as to lose the element of personal attention. It is in a quiet location but not isolated. We enjoyed a 3 standard room overlooking the golf course on the 2nd (top) floor. The room was well-designed with all the facilities expected of a quality establishment: fridge, tea and coffee making, and a solid wi fi connection with no limitations. The bathroom was to a high standard, although access to the shower over the bath called for a certain degree of agility. We stayed over the Christmas Holiday but because we spent most of the time with our family we did not take full advantage of the catering available. Nonetheless breakfasts were first class. Orange juice was freshly squeezed; food was cooked to order and service exceptional. My request for smoked haddock with poached egg, although not featuring on the menu that morning, was met without hesitation. Staff were without exception smart, efficient and firmly focussed on service. Overall, I should not hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends, and we look forward to returning for a longer break in the future.
This was our second Atlantic Christmas Break and our fourth stay at this hotel and we were not disappointed. Noting the changes in staff and executive Chef along with some of the comments from visitors we were interested to see how we found things. Thankfully everything lived up to our expectations and we had the same amazing experience as we have become to love and expect. The venue and location speak for themselves. There are many nice personal touches like a Christmas card signed by staff, a Christmas gift left in your room, rose in bathroom, bottled water and fridge in room, molton brown toiletries, complementary newspaper, and regular room service so room always looks its best. It was my birthday during the stay and the surprise (they remembered from last year) rendition of "Happy Birthday" was an added bonus. Congratulations to the new team for maintaining such high standards. We were particularly impressed to see the executive chef making sure everything was in order during the Christmas day buffet dinner. Whilst all the staff are worthy of praise we must make special mention of Marta, for her friendly, cheerful, faultless service and attention to details. A complete star who made our stay all the more enjoyable. If we had to suggest ongoing areas for improvement we would observe two things: 1) some of the soft furnishings were looking a little worse for wear, but possibly due to end of season wear-and -tear and will be replaced/ repaired ready for next season, 2) when restaurant was full the service was not quite as seemless and efficient as during quieter sittings. One evening we were left waiting for an hour past our scheduled dining time (not the staff’s fault), but were offered a complimentary cocktail and the delay was explained. In summary, a perfect contemporary small hotel in an amazing location with fantastic food deserving of its Michelin star, polished with efficient and friendly staff. A little oasis. We will be back and recommending to all our friends and family.
