Check in starts at 3pm we got there at 4 and they didnt had any rooms available for us to check in. No hot water....no guest computer/printer available for use.. wifi barely worked.

Great place to stay close to the city. Very nice staff. Convenient shuttle, or take the bus right across the street! Will definitely consider staying here again.

We stay here every year when we come to the giants game. Nice suites, great breakfast, and pet friendly!!!! Love our yearly tradition!

The hotel is in a relatively decent part of town, with food and resources within a short drive, however, the whole area seems a bit run down to me. Parking was in a disgusting parking garage around the corner and not too inviting after hours. I personally didn't feel unsafe, but I can see how some people may. The hotel itself was drab and smelly, and the walk to the room felt old and tiring. The place could use a good renovation or scrubbing. The elevator ride seemed risky, with lanolium floors that are bubbling up and a door that is falling apart...but it got me to the 4th floor. The door to my room was sticking so badly, it made a loud noise everytime I had to pry it open. The room was clean and usable, however very dated. Both TV's were not working, with digitized signals fading in and out and volume cutting out completely at times. The AC was VERY LOUD and annoying and I was having to turn up the volume just to hear what I was listening to. The tub would not drain and when I was told someone would come to fix it, it didn't happen. When asked a second time, they finally sent someone up, however by day three, it still wasn't draining properly. I was showering in 6" of water. The speeds on wifi are ridiculously low. Even getting email was IMPOSSIBLE at this hotel. Even with very strong signals, a speed test failed to run. That has NEVER happened to me in a hotel before. I hope they find ways to make improvements or I will not be coming back anytime soon.

Goos staff, this is the second time there. The only that they need to improve is getting WHITE towels , that is getting old

This hotel is worn out. The first room that we were given was falling apart and gross. I asked for another room. The second room was cleaner, the door handles were secure and the ceiling tiles were not moldy, droopy and falling down. It was still extremely worn and dated.

The hotel was in a good location close to restaurants and the hwy. The room was awful the a/c unit was not working when I asked the front desk to either fix it or change my room they stated that they were fully booked. I was asked to sign a whole bunch of forms about no smoking in the room and no destruction of property but the room I got stunk like cigarette smoke like it was coming from the room next door. You could actually see the smoke in the room when you came back in the room

The staff was great and the breakfast was great waffles eggs every thing you could think of second day there sewage was leaking from the roof by the elevators they were cleaning it up get home from nyc at 930 pm tired just wanted to shower get to room no towels wash cloths soap shampoo went down to the front desk staff was very sorry not there fault but we have been trying to call manager and no call back

This la Quinta is run down worn out and DIRTY! It's convienant to a bus stop to take into the city. That's the only good thing. It is waaaaaaaaaaayyy. Over priced. The quality is less than a motel 6 but the price of a holiday inn express. Staff is rude!!!!!! There's a holiday inn and ramada right around the corner from here that I switched to after i found the bathroom and room to be disgusting. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This place is too much money for what it is. Parking is a nightmare!!!! Expect to pay way too much to park as well.

The hotel itself is okay, but its best features is that it's only a 15 minute bus ride away from Manhattan.

Nice, clean and great location! The staff, on the other hand, needs a great deal of improvement! Very unfriendly and lacked in customer service!

People were all excellent. Location close to NY was great, but driving there is hard to find - mostly because of NJ overpasses, one-ways, and the ilk. TV was weird and internet did not work for me, but we did not care. We had a comfortable large suite for a great price and the sense that anything that was a problem would be quickly handled.

i was told that they would hold a non smoking room for me - but when i arrived at 2AM after a wedding - i was told that there was only a smoking room left - and it was the last room! to make things worse, they told me that i never requested the non smoking room. how awful. my eyes burned that night in the acrid room. I had to call corporate HQ about this one. After a few strong calls, they finally made good on the stay.

This is not the nicest hotel, but it's worth it for its price and location.

Spent two days here and couldn't be happier. The price was great, the breakfast was definitely delicious and for 8 bucks you could hop a bus right into the city. Would stay here again!

Hotel was fine, but storm Sandy came and we run away.

I went with my brother to NYC. We stayed at this hotel because of the proximity & the amenities. The bus stop is right across the street, and drops you off right near Times Square. If you fly into NJ, the hotel shuttle will pick you up, but you have to get on a subway for a few minutes. The hotel, which has 9 floors only has 2 elevators. There's only 1 computer in the lobby. Minor inconveniences for the quality, cleanliness, and location of the hotel. The free breakfast is outstanding, not just for the extensive selection of hot & cold foods, but the spacious guest dining area. Would definitely return if we were in the vicinity.

The hotel appearance was ok. The bus into New York City was close to the hotel, on time and got into the city in about 20 minutes. The staff however was rude! We got conflicting stories about the shuttle which only went to the train station and not Newark airport. We were told twice to just come down to the lobby and the shuttle would be available. When we got down there they said " do you have a reservation?" When i told the girl what we had been told she said" i dont't know who told you that but it is wrong. We do not have a shuttle available." I looked at the name tag of the person standing next to her and said she did. They just shrugged and walked away leaving us to call a cab which cost us $ 70.00. Also we had a cell phone and a charger disappear form our room and when we reported it they said it wasn't in lost and found and there was nothing they could do about it. When we checked in we were not given a non smoking room that we had requested. They said we got the last room and had to switch rooms the next morning. All they could say about it was that they were busy!

This was the nicest place we've ever stayed! The hot breakfast buffet was a nice surprise, the staff friendly and helpful, the room(s) were clean, nicely decorated, and roomy. The large bathroom was especially nice! I would rate this a 5 star and definitly would go back if I were ever in the area again.

It was great I went for a weekend with my friend. Thestaff was nice. breakfast was good they have a big buffet there panket are not all the best but hey is free so it is what it is but everything else was alwsome. bus going to NY are right there ready to take you to Ny it feel pretty save. I love it i would stay again there plust there so many store you can go shop in there walking distance.. :-)
