I am amazed at the amenities available for the price. Full fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and stovetop in room. Free laundry service, and can rent other amenities (crockpot, blender, etc) and movies ! Secure parking....which is now $10/night....it's not free anymore. Very friendly staff! Enterprise service right in lobby. Only minutes to walk to NJ light rail and PATH to get into NY. Safe, upcoming area, near college campus. I definitely will be staying again!

Staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating. I cannot say enough nice things about them! The hotel however needed some maintenance. I actually got locked into the self serve snack room and had to call the front desk from my cell phone to let me out. Our room had a door lock problem as well. The shuttle service was entirely inadequate. We ended up walking more than desired and taking Uber rides. The car rental folks were super nice and their service was convenient as well. Finally we were disappointed in the lack of room service. We expected clean sheets and towels etc in the room instead of the weekly service offered at this hotel.

The Candlewood suites are very well located, neat everything in Jersey City. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the personnel very helpful. There is a free shuttle to go to the Path station, the mall or the most important shops.

Good value. Hotel and room a little dated but clean.

Good hotel. A little old but accommodating staff, etc.

Great location, very accomadating and friendly staff. Seemed at first like a business area and ghost town at night but there turned out to be several eating places nearby.

Cleanliness and close to the Hudson River with a beautiful view of the city...

We stayed here three nights for a typical 3-day NYC trip. The location is great - walking distance to both PATH train stations to midtown and downtown Manhattan. Gorgeous view of the lower Manhattan. A little con is the noise from the light rail. But you get what you pay. The room is typical but the microwave in room is extremely useful! The staff is helpful also - especially Ruth. She is very nice and patient and very willing to help me change my room for some mistake I made for the reservation. Very lucky to have her at the front desk! Great experience. Perfect choice for tight budget.

Great to have my own, fully equipped kitchen. Great to have a free laundry. Good internet, but it has a family filter on it. Liked having the little self-serve store in hotel where I could get milk, OJ, and other food items. Nice to have secure parking at the hotel, even if it did cost $10/night. This was definitely the best possible place for me to stay in Jersey City.

Had bites from head to toe. They moved me to a new room, but pretty bad!

They were painting the hotel and painted my door in the Am,so when I opened the door I got paint on my new sweater and ruined it!

Hotel was perfect for what we needed. It is located near the light rail (Hoboken) and the Path (NYC). 5-10 min trip to the city using the Path. Super clean and stuff is helpful. The room is large for its price!

I was quite pleased with the overall experience. Downsides: parking is not free anymore, and the gates don't work, so the lot is not really closed off; very noisy refrigerator and heater.

Everything was clean and nice except for some weird smell in the room. Did not have time to request a different one however.

Visiting a new grandson in Jersey City; my son's condo was too small for 5. This was the perfect location, just 8 blocks from him. There were restaurants close by and we felt safe in the neighborhood. The "Honor System" store in the lobby was convenient for breakfast or late night snacks. The staff were helpful and, over all, we had a wonderful experience. Another visit planned in October and we will return to this hotel.

This place was just fine. No problems. A short walk to the PATH station and New York belongs to you.

Very close to the waterfront in Jersey city. You get a beautiful view of the NY skyline in the day and esp during the night. Can't see the skyline from hotel room though. 5 mins walk to the New Port path station which is a major plus plus. The only bad part was there was no complimentary breakfast. Oh yeah, they have started charging $10 a day for parking.

The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They let us park in the lot long after check out and grab a bite to eat before we had a room to charge it to. The rooms were very nice and had all the comforts of home. The location was also perfect for what we needed it for.

Great location! Free parking! Clean, new, big room, full kitchen! Friendly stuff!! Great price! Very happy! Thank you!

First off, we came from Illinois to visit Jersey city and New York. It's four of us in the road trip and first time visiting the East coast. We arrived at the hotel at 12noon and we immidiately get the accommodation and early check in. The stuff was very friendly and gave us a room in the 4th floor. Our first impression was very good, the room has a modern style living from the kitchen to the bathroom. My kids was all exited and with the price we pay is all worth it. There's also a view of the big apple and the Hudson river. The Path train is just a 5min walk. This is the train going to WTC in NYC. It was a great experience and we will definitely book here again the next time we visit. Clean and quite environment and it's very family friendly! I recommend this place if you want to relax and escape a city life in your vacation.
