No me gusto, muy caro para lo que es vs el valor y lo único bueno la playa blanca

Nice place but a little drive from the main road so takes a while to get anywhere. Too far from the beach to walk. Have to drive or take the shuttle bus.

Room could be little fancier i think for the price , but the beach and facilities over there are awesome. Playa blanca is the best

Extraordinary food. Nice an close from san jose. Forest enviroment all full birds monkeys carrots.

This hotel is tucked away from the main road and you have to go through the security gate along with a few other check points because they try to keep the beaches private even though it's illegal to keep the beaches private in Costa Rica. The hotel appeared like they were renovating and trying to be more of a timeshare with bigger rooms and more facilities which made using it for a hotel stay a little inconvenient paying for all meals and the staff were annoyed that everything was not already paid for and generally not very inviting. We had some trouble with our rooms internet was not working in the water was not working one day but the gentleman who spoke English as a manager was very nice and helped to compensate us. He is probably the greatest asset to this entire experience. Besides all that the two beaches very pretty Playa Blanca is gorgeous not many people on it white beaches just absolutely beautiful.

Alex the tour guide is the best part of the place!! He gave us tours of the butterfly home he maintains and the various parts of the local property both in daytime (0600) and at night time (1800). We were able to observe amazing local wildlife and get intelligent explanations and information. Rooms are small and just "ok". Took 3 hours to check in because the first room's AC was not functional. 4 rooms later we were all settled in our room. Breakfast was great and the monkeys who frequent the place from 0630 to about 0715 where fun to watch!

Overall the hotel was okay. It was hard to drive from the front gate to the hotel itself, scary driving at night. I had read on one of the review that the rooms smelled like mold, THEY ARE NOT KIDDING! My room smelled like mold and all my clothes smells like mold when I got home. The food was also average, expensive and no new options. I probably will not stay here in the future.

We choose this hotel for our Ney Years vacation and we really had a great time. Staff was super helpful, food was a bit pricing,if you are looking for a place to relax and be around the nature this is the place. I would definetaly come back there.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Punta Leona Hotel and are already planning another visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful and we were pleased with our rooml. We were especially amused at the monkey thieves at breakfast. The beach we went to was beautiful.

This hotel is situated in a rain forest. Very large property with 2 private beaches. Reception and rooms are about 4 KMs from main road. Hotel is kept very clean and maintained. Real treat is White Faced monkeys at one of the restaurants. It was an eye treat to see them play around and grab food from empty tables.

Sincerely I consider thatr any other agency should be aware of why the offer because punta leona is an old hhotel with lack of maintaince including gardens very high prices for room rates and food .Rooms sre extremely small and simple for high prices charged

Probably the best white sand beach on the west coast of Costa Rica. This resort was spread out inside and actual nature reserve so we saw tons of animals even while eating the included buffet breakfast. We wanted to experience the true 'in the jungle' and we got it but laced with all the amenities we could need including wifi, golf carts, tons for kids to do and lots of private places for my wife an I to enjoy as well. The 400 year old 'ladder to heaven' tree was awesome!

Do not fall for their all-inclusive resort package. They allow people to come and use their pool facilities who are not staying at the resort or housing complex. They take up the entire pool facilities and have ice chests, and small BBQ's. This made it very uncomfortable to have entire families (grandma, grandpa, mom, dad, kids cousins - this is not over exaggeration) use the areas that you paid to use. It was not one family but many. Pools would be filled with inflatable toys, floating lounge mats and such. As for the all-inclusive, they seem to have several packages. Not all their staff is up to date on what each wrist band is all about. We had to constantly argue that it was included and did not have to pay for the restaurant or bar. No beach amenities are included. If you wanted to use a boogie board, snorkel gear, whatever you have to pay in cash. Our kids would constantly be told they couldn't use something or couldn't order a drink or snow cone, or use the ping-pong or fus ball table (but no problem if you were a visiting family). I would have to go up their with them and explain to the staff that we are a paying guest, and have an all inclusive package. Only then could they even get a drink. The rooms are basic rooms. Much that of a Motel 6, and the feel. No real appeal, but that didn't concern us because we only used it to bathe and sleep. It was very clean. We also felt overall very safe at the property. I would have given it an overall 3 star if not for the issues that we did have. A better place to stay and better bang for your buck would be Jaco, which is about 15km down the road.

Very nice property. Staff was very nice. Great location. Would definately recommend to others.

: Dear Guest: Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Sorry for the inconveniences that you mentioned in relation to the distances. Our location away from the main road and the beaches is to offer to our guests a quiet and isolated spot away from all the noise. Thank you for staying with us
