Rude staff, people stomping around all night long. Expect to be awake every hour all night long! Room #226 I have been bitten by spiders & have had cockroaches & other insects crawling around in my room. It looks appealing from the outside but the nightmare on the inside is the other extreme! BEWARE! I in good conscience can not recommend this place. I have told my employer to put me anyplace but here in the future!

This place is just something out of nightmares. I will start from the beginning. (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS COMPLETELY BEFORE BOOKING) I got a special because I have someone who is staying there and I was thankful for a discount so I let the red flags I noticed slide. Well I wish I didn't, I wish I would've just trusted my gut and went to a days inn or something because we have a dog so finding a place to stay with her is limited. By the way the reservation was not in my name as the person who was currently staying put it under their name. Check in was just the first sign. We get there and "Blue" was her name came down as she was "off-shift" to check us in because her co-worker went somewhere "with her car" is what she said but she admitted she was drunk during the process and the whole time was telling me and the person who helped me get the reservation that this was it for her tonight, do not call her again and do not bother her again for the rest of the night. We kind of laughed it off at first but every time we laughed she would say "no I am serious don't bother me again." So, I was taken back from that and I just let it go since it was Christmas Eve and I was here to visit family. So we paid the room stay with the 50.00 pet deposit (non-refundable). The next morning (Christmas Day), my husband goes to walk our dog first thing when we woke up and he was stopped at the entrance by Blue asking him, "Hey!! Where did YOU come from?" He said from this room. She said, "Do they know you have a dog?" He said, "Yes." She said, "Did you pay your pet deposit?" He said, "Yeah, I paid my pet deposit with you last night." She said, "Oh yeah, I'm going to check that right now!" He said, "Go for it!" Then went about his walk with our dog. Later that day after we visited family for Christmas we were coming back in and she caught us in the elevator and apologized for how she acted towards us that morning. He said, "It's cool man, have a Merry Christmas." Woke up the next day (12/26) to get power steering fluid for our car as it was having problems and when we went to make the purchase it said insufficient funds. We paid with another card and checked our account to find they charged us another pet deposit of 50.00 that was a hold on our card. Asked them why the charge was made and they quickly blamed our bank. I called our bank and they said that they pushed that hold through on Christmas Day which is why it is a hold since it was a holiday. They said they must wait for them to take it if it is them legitimately taking it from us or for it to drop off. They assured me that since I caught it early to call them back to dispute the charge right away if it did get pulled out. Which is why I am still with my bank because they have been nothing but good to my husband and me. Well this is where things get interesting. I go to confront the front desk about the charge and they continuously try to tell me they have nothing to do with that hold and it was just a hold and will be released to me by my bank so I should stop being upset because I will have the money returned to me depending on who I bank with. Blue at one point told me that she was done talking directly to me and I should go through the person I know who is staying there for now on. To which the manager named Niki stepped in before Blue said something she shouldn't (which was coming next) to back her up with the same statement and just stopped letting me speak and talked over me when I did say something. They also threw in my face multiple times that I should be thankful that they gave me deal with this reservation to which I said, "It is not a deal when you turn around and steal from me." At this point I am in tears because that money they took was the money set aside for our son's birthday. So instead of going about our plans for his birthday we had to cut our trip short and use the rest of our funds to get home with instead of celebrating his birthday. When they heard me say that they immediately asked the person who helped me get the reservation with them, "Why is she leaving, you told me they were leaving the 27th?" She said, "Because you took the money they needed to stay with." We packed all of our belongings and never looked back. I want corporate to know that the person who checked us in "Blue" (doubt that was her real name) was working while she admittedly was intoxicated She then forgot that she checked us in that night and harassed my husband the next day because of she was too drunk to remember us the night before. She also denied harassing him and said and I quote, "Who would do that to someone? That's just terrible." You did!!! You would do that!!! I work in Florida's tourist town. I work as a front desk agent (check-in check-out) in a known resort in Orlando FL so I know my bank will not pull their own deposit out under the hotels name without my permission and it is unheard of in this industry. I also know that if you accidentally charge someone twice you can go and completely erase the charge out of the system like it never happened on their part. So what I know happened is she charged us twice, so she didn't get in trouble, erased that charge from their system which showed the charge as pending instead of it being pulled out. They completely ruined our Christmas visit with my family and friends and our son's birthday all because they couldn't take blame. Their reasoning made no sense to someone who literally works at a resort in the same position that she is in and does the exact same job that she does. I have been working in her position for 3 years now and have never, ever seen a bank take their own personal deposit from any of the guests I have encountered ever! These people should not what so ever be in customer service. I don't know how they got hired or how they still have their job if this is how they conduct business which clearly by the other reviews is not their first time doing, I want everyone who is considering this hotel as they stay in Jacksonville to please reconsider. Run as far as you can and forget the name "woodsprings." So that maybe we can save another person from their grimy, greedy hands.

If you're working out of town, this will be your most economical extended stay suites in the Jacksonville area that you would want to stay at. Are there some cheaper ones in the area? Yes, But none that are as comfortable, safe & convenient to everything !

I stayed a week in the single bed room by myself and it was very relaxing and quiet and most importantly it was CLEAN!! I loved how clean the room was!! It was neat, simple, and well clean!! To me, The Extended Stay hotels are better though. This is basically a knock off of one of those. But would definitely stay here again for the price you pay! Sorry the room looks a bit messy in my photos... lol!

We stayed at this Woodspring Suites (really-----suites) in March for 7 days. I agree with the review that if I could give this place a zero I would. The room smelled awful. My suspicion was that it had been a smoking room and they were trying to mask the smell. The floors were filthy, even though I bought an inexpensive mop, they were still dirty and sticky. The carpet has not been cleaned or changed in a very long time. The rooms are very bare and spare, so I guess, you get what you pay for. I see the prices are now $100.00. Sure not worth that ever. The prices may look good and the outside is clean and respectable, but not the room we stayed in. Simply awful.

I recently spent a week at the WoodSpring Suites and it was pretty much what I had expected: minimal comfort but lots of convenience. COMFORT The beds and pillows were adequate. The linen and towels are also adequate. Most of the furniture and cabinetry was cheaply made (particle-board) but functional. The TV programming is courtesy of Dish Network, which sometimes took 10 minutes to load. (Not all channels are available although they are displayed.) CONVENIENCE The suite came with a full-size fridge & small microwave (Nice!) and two electric burners. (If you plan on cooking - consider bringing your own pots and pans with you. They are not provided. Nor is silverware, plates, glasses, cultery, spatulas, etc.) Parking and location to what I needed for business was excellent. It's conveniently located right off of Beach Blvd... just 20 minutes from the Jacksonville Beach! And close to a Salvation Army store & grocery stores like Wynn Dixie. They only have one slow elevator - so during busy times, you wait. Only emergency stairs. Not accessible for entering and departing. This extended stay hotel is family and dog friendly. Access to WiFi was free. I believe the entire hotel is non-smoking. NOISE My biggest beef with WoodSpring Suites is the amount of noise that can be heard all day and night. I don't know if we had WWF athletes living above us, but the thumping and stomping from our upstairs neighbor was constant and LOUD! (TIP: ask for the fourth [top] floor. The walls are good but the floor/ceilings are thin.) The room doors are metal - as are the frames - and when inconsiderate hallway neighbors let their doors close by themselves - it's also LOUD. Even if you're 4 doors down. The room doors also feature a nice gap between the floor and the door which seems to allow hallway light into your room and well as conversations of anybody talking in the hall... and sometimes the room across from yours. (The doors are not staggered to you neighbor across the hall's room noise can easily penetrate your room.) The hallway features linoleum tiles which are probably easy to clean... but again it creates an echo chamber for anyone talking or running in the halls. (there were lots of kids when we stayed - so you heard a LOT of noise.) Some of our room lights were also noisey... buzzing fluorecent light bulbs, ugh! Overall - the price and location was the nicest part of staying here. The front desk was pleasant and helpful. I'd probably return - but bring earplugs and a blindfold. Suggestion to Management: Carpet your floors with good padding to reduce the amount of noise between floors and in the hallway.

We stayed at Woodspring Suites for over a week. My wife was in Jacksonville for some medical visits at Mayo. The room was clean and well taken care of. Very well equipped room for the long stay. Microwave, two burner stove full size fridge/freezer and single sink. Full size tub shower combo. To me the only down side to the room was the full size bed was a bit cramped for two people. I would recommend this location for anyone needing long term lodging. 15 minute drive to Mayo Hospital.

We booked this hotel online, drove from Buffalo, NY to Jacksonville, FL for a playoff game to find that they didn't have our double occupancy rooms and no vacancies to provide. They never called and the woman at the front desk said it happens all the time. She, herself, complains to the manager who blows it off! Super unprofessional! We ended up having to stay at a filthy hotel because it was the only vacancy we could find! I highly recommend that you do not book this hotel!!!

me and my husband walked into the hotel and it was right at closing time for the front desk .was a Saturday at 4 pm the gentleman at the desk was checking in a group of construction workers and said I'm sorry for the wait ill be right with you.his name is Austin the safety attendant .When he was done we inquired of the room rates and if one was available to view he said of course then took us on a tour i honestly felt like i was on a time share tour he showed and explained the company that just took over and everything.when we got to the room he explained everything to us and was so nice.we went back down stairs and stayed for a week .the property is very quiet and every one so nice .i would recommend staying here if your in town and need a clean safe centrally located place to stay.thanks Austin.

The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. I arrived 1 week before Hurricane Matthew hit here and they were great even though we were without power for a day and a half. I've been here for a total of 6 weeks and it's been a pleasure. Now off to my new apartment. Thank you Value Place.
