The outside of the hotel and the parking situation was terrible, but we had heard that the hotel was under renovation so we figured we'd be okay as soon as we got into our nice, clean room. However, as soon as we walked into our room we noticed that the bed was rumpled, the iron was sitting out on the bedside table, there was trash in the trash can, melting ice in the ice bucket, used towels in the bathroom, toilet paper on the floor of the bathroom, a luggage tag on the bed, and a scribbled piece of paper on the bed. We couldn't trust that this was a clean room to stay in. We immediately walked back downstairs and returned our keys and left the hotel.

Hotel is under Renovation, this is not an issue. The problem is the staff. They are trying but really falling short. There was a lot of putting things off into other staff members and then the requests not being followed through on. Has a odd empty feeling even though there were many quests.

Enjoyed the stay except for I upgraded my room for $50 and was rewarded with a nice view of a port a john

I work in the hotel mass but I'm very satisfied thanks

I liked the room very comfortable and nice only complaint i would have was the 10 dollar charge for parking in a lot full of weeds and holes and had to walk a good 10 mins to get there.

I did not upgrade to a renovated room. The hallways smelled of mildew and mold. The carpet in the hallway was wet. The rooms were outdated. Housekeeping did not clean my room one day but after I talked with a staff member, they cleaned my room. I've stayed at several hotels and for the price, I was not impressed

Once there if you want a clean room than there is an up charge and the reason is it'a a remodel room. The pool was not working the view was not on the river. Had to pay $30 more a night to have a reasonable room. $300 for 2 night I would have done better at the omni hotel or the double tree.

The property is undergoing renovations and while the updated rooms are nice, the distance to walk to your parked car is ridiculous. The televisions are no working properly either. They take forever to warm up and while doing so, will make very loud electronic popping noises, hisses and will black out periodically and then return to picture. It is very disconcerting. The keys for the doors will fail to work periodically necessitating a very long haul to the front desk for a "reset." The clerk was dismissive and informed me that they were short staffed. I will not stay here again.

Hotel is extremely outdated and has a lingering odor

This hotel has a great location and is affordable. It recently changed ownership and is in the process of establishing itself with completely new staff, etc. Many features are being upgraded, but not yet finished. Front desk, valet parking, housekeeping and maintenance staff were very accommodating and anxious to gain customer satisfaction. Overall, we had a very good 4-night stay and would stay here again next trip to Jacksonville.

Nice hotel at a nice price. My brother and I were however disappointed with the sheets on the beds. We had different rooms but both rooms had sheets that were rough and itchy. We thought there were bed bugs, but finally agreed the sheets were awful. I did not get much sleep, I was constantly scratching. There were smells I hope were from the construction. I'm allergic to many smells but did not have to take an allergy pill. The staff was very nice, the place looked great. But the sheets.....

There was no mention of the vast amount of construction on grounds. If you are looking to sleep in, the construction starts around 7am. Note that they charge $10/day for parking. There was VERY limited parking which adds to the frustration of charges. Construction was limiting, causing me to walk a longer distance to carry my bags in, which is hard as a small female. When choosing a room it stated it included wifi, and no Expedia charges. Only when you scroll past the 15+ room options do you see that there is a "surcharge" for parking. Very purposely misleading. Also there were pubic hairs in shower and leftover soap, with clearly obvious signs that the actual tub portion of shower had not been actually scrubbed. (Scum draining down) The room remained humid throughout my stay.

They are renovating right now but this place currently looks and feels like a crack house. I will never stay here again.

Areas of hotel are under construction but all was good.

Bathroom was disgusting and hotel had an awful smell

I hope the new upgrade will give this place a new life. The rooms were less than welcoming and comfortable

The hotel is old but a very great location. They are doing renovations and I am sure when it is done it will be fabulous - but I would imagine the cost will go up. For the money - it is worth it - the place is very clean, just older and no safe or refrigerator. The lobby is spotless and the bar looks inviting.

We wanted to stay on the river and catch the ferry to the Lions preseason game. Our reservation was for two double beds with a river view. We checked into a king bed facing the parking lot. Had to mo e rooms to two souls le beds. The room was not facing the river again! Rooms are very outdated. Dissatisfied.

No hot water the entire weekend in the entire hotel. We booked this hotel to attend a wedding in Jacksonville, FL. Imagine trying to get ready for a wedding and no hot water. We were very disappointed in the quality of the room and the room contents. This hotel needs renovations. Although the staff was very nice and professional, it didn't make up for the not having any hot water and the poor conditions of the rooms.

Not a very good experience. No hot water and the hair drier does not work.

This is the first that I have heard of this and we have not had anyone mention this situation. Would you please call me, so that I may do my due diligence and look into this? Thank you, General Manager
