We visited the Worldmark in Oct. 2017. The staff was very kind, helpful, and attentive. The resort was average, and not very near the beach, however the pool was amazing. The air conditioning in the room did not work very well so if staying cool is a priority, you might look elsewhere. If you do stay here, the service in the bar by the pool is outstanding, and the view is amazing.....and you must go down the street to Lety’s down the road for the best coconut shrimp and shrimp cocktail on the planet.

Hard to review this property as it was raining daily and we stuck to our room, using the pool briefly, only on departure day. But it was a great room, big Jacuzzi tub, nice size fridge, lots of living area and a big patio overlooking the bay beyond the trees. We were upgraded to a room superior to what we’d paid for, (thanks Rafael!) probably as it wasn’t that busy and to make us feel better in the lousy weather. A bit of a walk into town, down 130 steps or so and then 10 mins along a rough road, over a bridge, and voilà - restaurants, shops, beaches, parks, pier with boat cruises. Worth it! Coming back up was a little more difficult often in the rain but we got in good shape. Really enjoyed the trip, regardless of the weather. Will return.

The room we had was very clean and comfortable but stepping out to the balcony to enjoy the view was breathtaking. That same view is visible from the restaurant and the pool. The price you pay for the view is that you have to go down or up 170 steps to get to the town but it is worth it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is not bad but you can find much better just down the steps or further into town. I don't think you can find a better place to enjoy a drink with a view.

This place is quiet, quaint and absolutely perfect! Staff is helpful, attentive and extremely polite Pool is perfect and times when we had it all to ourselves Our room had a kitchenette and it worked out great - breakfast and lunches in the room and out for dinner Loved our stay

Knew we were in the right place for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation when friendly staff greeted us outside the hotel. With this hotel situated high above a fishing village, you have the most spectacular view when you sit at the pool, in the open air restaurant, or on your balcony. The all tiled room was clean and spacious, with 2 comfortable queen beds and air conditioning. There was no kitchenette, but did have a microwave and small fridge. Small problem with toilet running and not flushing properly, but once staff notified it was fixed quickly. The hotel offers spa services in a tent poolside, reasonably priced. Restaurant has excellent coconut shrimp and very tasty salads. If you are a fisherman/woman and bring back your catch of the day, the chef is most gracious and will cook it to perfection. Happy hour twice a day, Modelo Special is great beer, but the bartender makes a delicious strawberry or mango daiquiri. For a cold non alcoholic drink, hibiscus tea is a must. For those that want adventure or something different, the front desk staff are a great resource for ideas and will book trips for you. We booked a Mexican cooking class and a day trip which included stops at a coconut plantation, museum and pyramids which were amazing. Although the hotel is not beachfront, if you want exercise, there are steps (about 140) you can walk down to take you to the beach or into Zihuatenajo for shopping. If not wanting to walk, staff will gladly get you an inexpensive cab. For a first time traveler to Mexico, WorldMark Zihuatenajo was the perfect choice to experience a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere with warm, personable staff who really do make a difference in making your stay exceptional.

Worldmark Zihuatenajo is a very beautiful place with an awesome outdoor restaurant. It's an older hotel converted into a resort. It's off by itself, two miles from the city. This is not a typical Worldmark property. There are no kitchens or laundry facilities or exercise room. Most rooms are hotel rooms.

Yes, the views are spectacular, yes the rooms are "neat as a pin", yes the resort dining is "delish" and yes it will be the most unique boutique hotel you will probably ever stay in. But that's not why Villa Vera by WorldMark is an experience you will never forget. It's the staff! The people you come into contact every day will be remembered for years to come. Their warmth, smiling faces, eager to please and professionalism is what makes this 25 room resort tick. No doubt, Wyndham, the new owners have provided the building blocks for success, however it is General Manager Caldron, the "all knowing" Juan Carlos, Senior's Iggy, Jorge, Zender and a host of other hard working staff members who make it all happen! Thank you guys for yet another memorable vacation Mark & Dolce0

Impeccable service, great views, quiet, quaint, old school Mexican charm. The resort use to be someone's Villa. It is small, not a party place, not close to the action. Taxis are cheap, and so is the food in town. The restaurant there is good for breakfast - but we always ventured to the small old town for lunch and dinner. There is incredible food in town for very low prices. The massages are excellent - the views outstanding - the rooms are old school - but large and accomodating. We will be back.

We are staying at the Worldmark Zihuatanejo February 11 to 25, 2017. This has been our best Worldmark visit since we joined the club 5 years ago. We stayed in unit 502 for the first week and are staying in unit 406 (Penthouse) for the second week. The Penthouse is basically two units (one with 2 beds and one with a King bed and jetted tub). Each unit has a mini fridge, coffee machine, microwave and plenty of storage space. Wifi worked in the unit as well as at the pool area. I would definitely recommend booking a room with a jetted tub and balcony. The building is a charming traditional Mexican villa that has been well maintained and is kept sparkling clean. The best features for us were the employees/great service, great view of the bay from our unit and from the pool area and the proximity to downtown (about 15 min walk) and beaches. We ate both at the resort restaurant and downtown and found prices to be very reasonable. The employees of the resort go out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one. This is a very quiet resort...ideal for couples. We definitely give it a thumbs up!!!!!!!

We had a nice room that over looked the bay. A little trouble with the A/C, but they would would always come look and service it. Bartender was great and the food was excellent. Wonder atmosphere sitting on the patio enjoying dinner and drinks while looking out to the water.
