Located by the Adrian sea, the resort offers fine scenery, peaceful walking paths and clean nature close to a historical city of Pula. This city is some 5 km from the resort, but bus connections are good. The apartments are well equipped for preparing own meals, but the restaurants in the area have good menus also for young visitors.
I went with 2 adults and a child (12). Overall great holiday we stayed for 10 days Room was Ok nothing too fancy but good.Great location Amazing view off the balcony .My daughter had a sofa bed which she loved,Have to pay for extra for air con but, Def worth the money.Great bar just down the road, which had a 2 footb all AstroTurf's hitch my husband and daughter loved Well worth a visit. Also great restaurants in the complex.Staff very friendly complex was spotless !Bus to Pula stops right outside the hotel. We got the boat to Venice which was a 3 hour journey and was a bit expensive but,Well worth a try as it is an experience .We also so took a trip to Rovinj it was a beautiful place and had a good few shops. If you are going to the beach in Croatia you will need to wear special shoes as there are lots of stones which hurt with out but,are very cheap.Defo would go again great holiday.
If you are traveling to pulla from rijeka by bus then the nearest beach in pulla is the "Verudella".You can enjoy the silent nature here. Just swim across the peblley beach and soak in the sun.you have change rooms and showers near the beach. Relax and enjoy the rocks and pinching pebbles in this beach..its less crowded. The resort here is great !!!
We stayed 3 nights, 18 - 21 Sept. The resort itself is easy enough to find, though it is not made at all clear that reception for the villas is at the connecting Park Plaza Hotel (with which the villas share pool facilities). We arrived early, about 11:30 am, and our room was ready and available to us. The apartments are situated in about 10 different buildings, scattered around a bit of a forest, giving the complex a very rustic feel, which I liked. Our building was one of the furthest from the centre of the resort - about a 10 minute walk from reception, restaurants, the market and the pool. The seclusion was much appreciated, and the walk along the cliff above the sea is beautiful. We booked a one bedroom apartment, with balcony overlooking the sea. For three nights, the total was about £140, a price which really can't be beat, given the location. Just outside our apartment was a stairway leading down to a beautiful, secluded cove, above which was a grassy area with lounge chairs and day beds. The room itself was very dated, and the bed very hard. The sofa bed in the living room was a nice touch, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bathroom contains a very tiny shower, difficult for a man of 6 foot 1 to move around. The balcony was very large, with a table and 4 chairs, and accessible from the lounge as well as from the bedroom. Our sea view was partially obstructed by peaceful me trees, but absolute lively beautiful regardless. The sounds of the waves crashing on the pebble shore of the cove below were wonderful. The pool facilities are spacious and gorgeous, above the sea, with views of a swimming cove as well as the nearby marina. The restaurant at the pool is quite good, and very reasonably priced, especially given that it is a hotel restaurant with a stunning view. 4 of us ate lunch, with large beers, for about £20. The nearby market is handy, but prices are higher than in-town. On our first day, several hours after arrival, there was a severe, but short, thunderstorm. It was fantastic to view from our apartment, over the sea. However, we soon realised that our apartment was flooding. When we opened the front door to inspect, water rushed in, as the entry area was completely flooded with about 6 inches of water. Thankfully, the door had a relatively tight seal, so blocking it up with towels kept more water from getting in. I called reception, and a cleaning crew was sent as soon as the rain stopped. While I was impressed by that, I was less-than-impressed with the rather mediocre response and lack of sympathy from reception. All said, we greatly enjoyed our time at the Verudela Beach & Villa Resort, and would definitely return. The value for money is fantastic. I would probably, however, upgrade just a bit, to one of the villa apartments closer to the central resort.
My partner and I booked in for three nights in an apartment near the water. It was an okay room with a wonderful room. We had to keep the windows slightly open because air conditioning cost extra so we spent the first night awake multiple times throughout the night because of mosquitoes. The second night we stayed awake again due to mosquitoes but at 3:30am we started hearing additional noises and realized we had a mouse/rat in our apartment. We quickly shut the bedroom door and hoped it would leave. Upon telling the receptionist in the morning, he had someone check our room throughout the day to see if there were any holes in the walls. That night when we shut the bedroom door almost immediately the mouse started scraping at it. After calling the reception and telling them we were leaving the room they moved us immediately to a villa for the night. They apologized profusely and let us have the room with no extra cost. So although I would suggest spending a bit more money to upgrade to newer areas of the resort, the service was excellent and they did seem incredibly upset that there was a mouse in our room.
The transfer to this resort is very short and cost £20-£25 by taxi. Pula airport is very quiet and a great contrast to Gatwick. We have just returned from a 7 day stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. The master bedroom was very nice but the second bedroom a little small and it did not have aircon unlike the rest of the apartment. The views are stunning and the water as clear as I have seen. Watersports are plentiful as are clay tennis courts (18). Beaches are without sand but I actualy now prefer the concrete terraces on offer or the plentiful sun loungers/beds (these are secured for a small fee, although if you use them pm in our experience you are not charged. The pool is seawater but well maintained and the view from the terrace is as good as it gets. We hired a boat for £30 and paddle boarded for £12 and recommend the glass bottom boat tour with an entertaining guide. He enjoys honking his horn even when passing a wedding in mid-flow. Pula was easily reachable by bus (15 mins and cost just over a £1 each way). The 3a is available, but they often appeared to refuse entry on the 2a for tourists. We were slightly disappointed with Pula and stayed mainly around the appartment (nice restaurant by the entrance road and the pool bar offers a great view and nice pizzas for £6) In all, a great relaxing place for parents but enough to keep all family members happy particularly if you like tennis/watersports..
We visited the apartments in July/August for a 12 day holiday. The location is excellent. There are several beaches in easy walking distance, and as long as you have beach shoes, this is a preferable option. Pool is overcrowded, and as mentioned in many other reviews, it's almost impossible to get a lounger. Early in our stay we went to the pool at the Park Plaza hotel on the complex. There were less children and it was most pleasant. HOWEVER, after being there half an hour, security staff approached us and asked us if we were guests at the hotel. When we replied we were staying at the apartments we were asked to leave. Extremely embarrassing! A couple of days later we established by asking at our reception that, as long as you have paid a nominal fee (discounted by 50% for apartment users) to use the hotel spa, gym or indoor pool, you are issued with a green pool towel, which means you can go anywhere on the hotel site! Wish we'd known that at the beginning! Restaurants on site all pretty good, with the exception of the buffet which wasn't up to much. Highly recommend the Yacht Club for great food and ambience. Everywhere really good value for money. 2 bedroom apartment set up ideal. The sofa bed in the lounge was tucked out the way, so not really encroaching on the living space. Air con very efficient. We would highly recommend this complex, and will definitely return.
Beautiful blue waters on a "pebble" beach (see attached photos). The pebbles are actually small stones that make an interesting sound when the waves crash on them. The sea is very blue but also comparatively cold. Nice place to hang out and explore for an afternoon on a sunny day.
Travelled to this resort as a family of 4 including an 18 year old and a 16 year old, having only booked it two weeks prior for a very good price. The airport is only 8km away and so the transfer is very short which is fantastic. We arrived at 11am where check-in is 4pm and they let us into our room early which was lovely, though there is an area for left luggage if needed. The apartment itself was lovely, slighlty dated but more than met our needs and the balcony was great; it got the sun and had a nice view of the sea. There was plenty of room for all 4 of us, especially as we ate outside. There was a lovely pebbly beach extremely close by and then 2 pools with free wifi also close which were perfect for relaxing by. The resort has its own bus stop which has regular buses to the city of Pula. Onsite supermarket is more pricey than those in Pula off the resort but there are lots of reasonably priced restaurants within the resort. Overall we spent a lovely week here and the staff, especially at reception, and facilities were great!
We were in the end of June in Pula. The resort is not so far from the downtown. The bus station is in front of it,the ticket costs 11 kuna each ways,so it s very easy to get into the center of the town. The apartment was clean and well-equipped,each of them has safe,so you can lock your values up.The stuff was very helpful and kind. The area is gorgeus, beautiful bays, the sea is very clean and warm. The swimming pool area is settled on the top,so it has a pitoresque wiev. The prices were very nice, the food was fresh. You can take a long walk on the shore, the cliffs and the sunset is heartwarming. And also you can do so many sports in the resort. We go back next year again. So I suggest this resort from all my heart. We had a very nice stay.
