The neighbourhood is busy, noisy, 'but charming' .. lots of lovely individual foodie-shops and eateries! The metro station is bang opposite making it easy to travel to other places of interest. The hotel offers complimentary transfers from/to Ataturk airport which is a bonus. Otherwise, we were disappointed with the hotel, it shares an entrance with Mac Donald's (we didn't care, just not the best impression to a 5* hotel we looked forward to staying at); we had power cuts (6th floor) all night long and from early on - making it impossible to work and/or to watch the tv. The desk had the problem fixed but the fixing only lasted a few minutes. 'One' window opened a 'jar' if that and the aircon didn't work, so it was stuffy and uncomfortable. The hotel is near a hospital and literally 24/7 all you hear (nice and loud) are sirens from emergency vehicles. The clientele of the hotel, during our stay, was filled with medical tourists - and so medical tourism seemed to be the hotels main market ... which is fair, just not where we were at or wanted for our business and personal leisurely plans. The hotel scores a 5* rating but that's because it ticks the right boxes to have that rating i.e. a gym/pool/hair dryers/safe in rooms/ e t c; for us - there are plenty of good 3* hotels we would have enjoyed far more. The cleanliness and staff were all good.
One night stay becomes a nightmare morning 9 am onwards people entering the room despite of do not disturb TAG coming to ask to CHECK OUT . unbelievable hotel and staff
I have nothing but praise for this hotel. Our room is excellent. The hotel has an enviable location with so many shops, restaurants, and all kinds of businesses all around you. The metro stop is right in front. Taksim and Istiklal Street are only one metro stop away. Most important, I give the highest rating to the hotel staff. Özgür hanım took interest in our comfort even before our arrival with an email and answering my questions with utmost politeness. Burak bey at the reception is very professional and helpful. The breakfast staff are very attentive without being intrusive. The security persons at the entrance are great too. We look forward to staying in this fine hotel every time we visit Istanbul.
- A bit noisy since located next to a hospital with 24/24 ambulances arriving - noisy people in neighboring room -> rooms could be better isolated, internet interruptions, unable to print documents +friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms, good beverage, well located next to metro entrance, good value for money
Reception veryyyy unhelpfull and rude. bad smell in room and dirty .....lf we want any help we shoul go down to reception coz when we call them they said 2 minutes 1 minutes .worst experience ever .. shoul be 1 star hotel not 5 stars

Ramada plaza Istanbul City center is one of the best hotels. I was there from oct 13 - oct20. During my stay at this hotel every things was nice . The rate of the superior room was reasonable, The room was big enough. The cleanliness is excellent. Breakfast was more than excellent. Front desk staff always smiling and help full. Especially Mr. Mustafa tunic he was gentleman and very very help full. The location of the hotel is wonderful In the heart of istanbul surrounded by lot of shops , Turkish restaurants and cafes. If I have chance to go back to Istanbul I would stay again in this hotel.
Bad attitude in reception and the enterance of hotel under maintenance and a room above me had a full day renovation and when reported no solution was proposed in the first day except “SORRY” next day after long waiting they proposed another room
Rooms all smelled like the inside of a public bus topped with cigarette smoke. Carpet and counters were dirty and towels weren't replaced
Couldnt fault it, check in was quick, room was fine, location was good, (the Metro was across the road from hotel entrance), we wasn't getting picked up till 23.00 on the day we checked out, they stored are luggage, we got the use of a safe deposit box so we could make the most of the day, then on are return the staff sorted us out with somewhere to shower before are flight to Vietnam
