Absolutely loved it in Gulhane park Hotel, if it ever return to Turkey, i will look forward to staying here again. Staff were most friendly and absolutely professional. I have contacted them prior to my arrival and they have made sure that my stay were most organized and well coordinated, from pick up from the airport to all the tours around the city. The room was spacious and clean, nothing special but by far more than what I have expected. Their Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with variety of fruits and vegetables as well as hot meals and cereal for guest to choose. Just remembering the time i have spend as a guest in this hotel makes me want to go back there again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a true middle eastern hospitality and on the budget, no fuss and the hotel offered everything that we could have possibly needed and more. Location was another plus to the Hotel, in the middle of everything, simply surrounded by little restaurants, gift shops, parks, close to most important tourist attractions, and offer Turkish bath Hammam in the hotel as well.

Wonderful experience. Well worth the journey the room was clean airy and close to the elevator. The health club including the Turkish bath was worth experiencing.

Staff were helpful and pleasant. They made sure our stay was comfortable

The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. The location was walking distance to the main attractions and tram. The gym was sub par. The breakfast was decent. Overall we had a good experience staying here.

The hotel is very good however they advertise free drinks. But, never offer anything free. WiFi does not work constantly, breaks every two seconds. They really need to improve WiFi. If you rent a car, you can't drive in. My family was happy to stay in.

Beware of fake comments! 1- Hotel is located in a very inconcienent location, taxis cannot get there between 10AM and 12AM, you have to walk for 300 meters to get to your hotel with your luggage. 2- I booked a double bed and 2 single bed room, I was given a double bed and 1 single bed only, they said they other room wasn't available and that the booking agency made a mistake. 3- Hotel Breakfast is a joke, it ha very few options, with only boiled eggs, no omelets or a decent cereal!. 4- Burger ordered from room service was one of the worst I had ever! 5- Bed blankets consists of only bed sheet, no blanket what so ever. 6- Hotel staff would try to sell you tours, if you do not agree, they will not be very helpful in teaching you how to get their on your own. 7- I lost my access card, and I spent the last 2 days calling the receiptionest to unlock the room for me because their card access system is not working properly! 8- Given the circumstances, I ordered an early check out and moved to a 5 star hotel. I ordered a partial refund but the hotel refused! Beware do not book this hotel!

very nice hotel, staff was friendly, beautiful rooftop views, only disappointment no airport shuttle

The experience i had in this hotel was amazing. The service was perfect. Room was clean and very comfortable. Train station is just 50 m far from hotel. Very near to Blue mosque and Haji sofia. They are many amenities around. The breafast was really good. I remember all good things about this hotel and i would suggested for everyone.

It was a nice and clean hotel in a great location. The room was on the small side but nicely finished and the hotel restaurant was reasonably priced.

two minor grips to an otherwise very saisfactory hotel in a great location for the foreign tourist: - room was a little musty -although breakfast was included, hotel charged 4L for fresh orange juice even though I later noticed a sign stating the juice was 2L, and the staff was very insistent that you pay for the juice when served

Our exp with hotel manger was very bad.they are there just to milk money. I have to pay extra 75 € for three days for my 5 year old child. One local call cost 23 lira and no explaination offered. Rooms are ok but no where 4*.

Clean. Great location near bazaar, blue mosque, hagia Sofia. Restaurant is ordinary but there are many choices within a block or two. This is a friendly place and a good base for seeing the sights. Tram stop right up the street, or short walk to star attractions.

We only stayed in Istanbul It was perfect for historic attractions It's a bit expensive depending where you coming from Food was amazing People were fairly nice You can get all the tours from the hotel

Good location, walking distance to main historical places, tramway station close to the hotel. Clean room, quite spacious - 3 beds room. Average breakfest, limited choice. We had tea pot in the room, but not tea bags refilled during the stay. Complimentary drink was one bottle of water for each person, and they tried to charge for it at the end of stay. TV set was not working due to complicated controll of two remote controllers. Person at the desk not very helpfull. Good location, but price higher than services. Do not expect 4 star hotel according west europe standard.

They cancelled the free breakfast, they provided two single beds, they arrived to airport after 40 minutes of landing although they confirmed by email free breakfast, double bed, and airport transfer. The sauna, Turkish bath are not proper and the massage is on electric.

The special massage offer is on a sofa!!! The wifi works only on the lobby. At the arriving I must sign a compromise of NOT bringing meal or water to the room!! The only point that save the week is the location, 2 km from Grand bazaar and all the attractions.

Certainly not 4 stars, not sure who rates these places. Staff was useless at recommending places, most spoke only 5-10 words of English. The one guy who did speak English only recommended tourist traps and places that were exhorbitantly expensive. As soon as I arrived I was hit with a 500 EUR fee because I had a second person in my room. I couldn't book flight for one person and hotel for 2 (met up with someone there) on your website. FOUR separate times I had to complain that the sheets and towels weren't cleaned. They kept coming up with excuses such as the cleaning ladies were on vacation, or I didn't leave the proper tag on my door, or they simply forgot my room. Yet somebody had been in there each time! We realized the first time when we went to shower after a long day and there was eyeliner on the towel from the night before! Same with the sheets. They had just been refolded. The room was about the size of a shoebox. Always had the smell of sewerage, as if the toilet was leaking on the floor. Lights were out in the bathroom when we got there. Location was decent, probably only solid point. And when checking out they refused to give me any sort of receipt or confirmation. I wanted something so I wasn't hit with any more outrageous fees after the fact with no defense. Didn't trust any of the people at the hotel, which is unfortunate because the rest of the people in the country couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. I would avoid this hotel at all costs. There are better places to stay for less money and more helpful staff.

My entire family stayed at this hotel for ten days and had three rooms altogether. The staff, especially Mr. Veysel Beyrom, were extremely professional, helpful and friendly. They made our vacation experience a memorable one. The food/breakfast was great every morning. I highly recommend this hotel.

It is a good hotel for family. However, some staff and housecleaning service could use a bit of enhancement! For instance, they did not make our room on Friday and tried to blamed it on us for putting "DO NOT DISTURB" sign, which we did not! Friday is a holiday for their housekeeping service! Staff forgot to mention that phone calls are not free -- they just said that you can make a call from your room! Overall, it is good and a great value for the price. Location was fantastic.

I'll give a maximum of 2* to this hotel & will not recommend it to anyone. It is definitely not what they advertise on their website. I have been several times to different hotels in Istanbul & this is the only time I have beed disappointed. The story about the lack of hygiene is VERY TRUE. There are no cover sheets, they expect you to cover yourself with the same cover that other customers have used & it's full of dirty stains...I let you use your imagination....so we have always removed them & didn't cover ourselves. There were never enough towels in the room, we had to call the night shift receptionist, almost every night, to ask for more towels. I have read some complaints about this hotel & didn't take them seriously, but I regret that very much as they were so true. For me, hygiene is a very important criterium in selecting a hotel, so you decide between what kind of sheets you want to sleep. I would like to add that this is the only hotel in Istanbul that charges for O.J. at breakfast, they want 2 Euros/ glass, we found that ridiculous as it costs 1TL in the street. If you want to be disappointed, then this is the right hotel for you. I only want to think the breakfast waiters & the night shift receptionists for their nice services.
