Aldem Boutique Hotel Istanbul

I have now stayed at this hotel 5 times. This used to be Aladdin Hotel but the ownership changed recently and it's now called Hotel Aldem. I didn't give it the best rating at check-in as I found a few things out of order. But I must say that within a day or so the staff had everything fixed and I was impressed with the response and effort. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again myself.

This was my third time staying at the Aladdin. I love this little hotel the location is perfect in the heart of SultanAhmet very close to the Blue Mosque, Haagia Sophia and all! Its also very close to the SultanAhmet Tram station! The breakfast is amazing and the terrace is a bonus! I highly recommend it and plan to stay there in future too.

It was very pleasant experience although had problems with the wi-fi connection but just for a few hours, a/c was not working properly...free breakfast was excellent....it is located in the sultanhamet area which is the most touristic un istambul...great place great price I would stay there again!

This was my second time staying at Aladdin and it not only met, but exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect, especially if you want to be equally close to all major Sultan Ahmet attractions including the Sultan Ahmet Tram Station. But being so close, it is fortunately also on a little street with a couple of govt. buildings taking up the entire other side of the street. Point being, that it is close to all humdr but surprisingly quiet & peaceful at the same time!! The staff is great and very helpful....! Breakfast seating area and food are top notch!! Love it!!

This hotel has en axcellent location, has free breakfast which I found very complete and delicious....It is located two blocks from Sultanhamet tramway station were you can move anywhere in the city cheap and fast...I would definately stay in this hotel again...

Excellent location for ferries. Acceptable staff attitude. Small room with an about 28" x 28" shower area. Good for value hunter.

The affordable rate especially suited my 10 night conference / research trip stay and I found the hotel wholly adequate for my needs: convenient location, clean and comfortable rest, delicious breakfast provided, and adequate internet access. Location was perfect as I was working mainly at Süleymaniye library within walking distance. For those visiting the main sites of the historic peninsula (Topkapı Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Çemberlitaş Baths, Grand Bazaar, etc. etc.) it is exceptionally convenient. Otherwise, reaching other parts of the city (for conference and leisure) was also incredibly convenient as the hotel is located so near tram stops along Divanyolu Caddesi, falling between Sultanahmet (closest down the hill) and Çemberlitaş (just up the hill). Hotel staff were attentive and helpful and I felt quite safe though traveling alone. Room was small but comfortable and attended daily with clean towels, etc. Bed was comfortable and in room bathroom with shower was perfectly adequate. Clothes closet was plenty spacious. Roosters and other animals could be heard in the early morning but were not a great bother, especially with window closed. Breakfast was a special pleasure with Turkish fare (olives, cheese, tomato, cucumber, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt even freshly made börek most mornings) and also various meats (I am vegetarian), sweet breads, cereal, etc. with tea and coffee and juice. Lovely view from the breakfast room and roof top terrace. Internet access was provided (seemingly with a router for each floor) and connectivity was generally good to very good. I had no difficulty conducting my online work.

Excellent access to all major attractions. Very nice attendants. Good communication. Willing to help. They manage to reserve all tours for us. Thank you.

Superb Sultanahmet location, clean, with very friendly staff. We really enjoyed hearing the schoolchildren playing across the street. However, our room was small with no furniture on the hardwood floors. We had to put our luggage and stuff on the floor. Not ideal. The bed was not very nice and we did not sleep well at all for our three nights there. Lastly, the breakfast was not very good. Cons: Cramped room without furniture, bad bed, breakfast wasn't impressive. Pros: Best location, great view from roof of Blue Mosque at night, quiet, clean, not too expensive for location, friendly staff. All in all it may still be a good value given the fantastic location, cleanliness, and friendly staff.

My stay was precisely what I wanted - a quiet and clean hotel. 20 rooms over 5 floors and its in good condition, meaning the facilities are well kept and the room itself had no issues. Staff was friendly, room was cleaned daily and breakfast was simple but good. There was no safe in the room, but I wasn't expecting one. Wireless worked well on my tablet and phone. Location was great given its in the heart of Sultanamet, which means the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar and other attractions are just down the road. Really I have no complaints about the hotel at all. You will be satisfied provided your expectations are in line with the price. I should note, and this is no fault of the hotel, that a nearby residence has roosters. Did you know roosters make noise at all hours, not just sunrise? I didn't. Earplugs saved the night(s)!

There are people speaks English. Location is good.--very close to the main street, mosks, and tram line so easy access to everywhere. Room was very clean. It seems like walls are thin, and you hear the next door and outside noise. (Outside is always noisy.) When we stayed over at the outside city one night and came back to this hotel, we were sent to their another hotel, which was more spacious, but it was at the bottom of the long hill, and we had to walk all the way up to the big street with a tram line.

This Aladdin hotel was full and we were sent to another hotel, which doesn't seem like a hotel but kind of like an apartment. They just gave us a ride to this hotel, and even explain us where this hotel was at. No soap, no wifi access. There's no front desk. Entrance is locked so you need to call someone both when you go out and come back. The area around the hotel was not touristy. It is at the bottom of a big hill so you need to walk up the steap hills to go to the major sightseeing spots. I would recommend the Aladdin hotel but not this apartment like place so make sure with them that you are staying at the hotel, not this apartment-like place.

Good basic boutique hotel. Wwe left before experiencing breakfast, no comment there. Otherwise a nice little room in the middle of all the places you want to see.

The Aladdan hotel is in a great location and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are extremely small. I stayed for 2 nights - the first night they put me in Rm 104 - this very tiny room did not have a window and the bathroom was slightly larger than a telephone booth. Television not working properly. To make matters worse, it was just next to the elevator and the constant movement of the elevator did not provide for a good rest. The room backed to a busy street and there was restaurant music through the night. A rooster was heard at 4:00am. First night was terrible for lack of sleep. Second night I requested a move to a room with a window (like advertised). Moved to Rm 301. Small room, better bathroom and nice view from window. Problem was there was no hot water, but the front desk was able to fix. Breakfast was adequate. Sunny eating room. Upstairs roof patio has nice view. Apart from the central location, this hotel was overpriced for value received. Would not stay here again if back in Istanbul.

This small friendly hotel is close to everything. We loved the breakfasts every morning and the smiles on the efficient staff. Two things that are an absolute must see when visiting Istanbul is the cistern and Hagia Sophia which is about five minutes from the hotel. We recommend trying to get a room at the back of the hotel as the front bedrooms tend to be noisy with garbage removal late at night.

Very clean, very basic accomodations. Right in the middle of historic and downtown Istanbul. 40 minute ride from/to Ataturk airport via the Metro/tram for less than $3 one way. It is one block from the tram stop in Sultanahmet, down an "alley" lined with shops and outdoor restaurants, which serve delicious food. Blue Mosque is 5 minute walk, Grand Bazaar is 8 minutes. The in-room internet didn't work (that was the only drawback), but there are 2 free computers in the lobby. English speaking staff. You can't beat this location for this price. Perfect for singles or couples.

Hotel was located in the best location right in the heart of Sultanahmet- short walking distance to all the touristy sites (mosques, palaces, museums, etc). The map provided by the friendly staff was excellent and helped navigating throughout the city. The free breakfast included was a nice surprise as well. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend for anyone traveling to Istanbul.

The Alaaddin Hotel was perfectly located in Istanbul, the rooms were small but very clean, the Turkish breakfast was lovely and the staff became dear friends. This is a great little hotel in an astonishing city full of kind and hospitable people. Don't miss it!!

my hotel experınce wıth Alladin hotel was excellent Wonderful staff. and great free breakfeast.

Positive experience and good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Location couldn't have been better for historic area sightseeing.
