Once you get to Margarita Island is necessary to take a boat to Coche Island to enjoy this gorgeous hotel. Currently is the best hotel with the All Included policy (all foods, snacks and drinks). The rooms are big and very comfortable with outdoor shower. The food is a very nice buffet with different dishes to satisfy all taste. Drinks and cocktails are ok, not the best quality though. The pool is outstanding, with a perfect ocean view (towels included) You only need to walk some meters to go to the beach (beach chair and umbrella included) and enjoy the calm water, some water activities (jetsky, snorkeling, not included) and the best sunset. The hotel should include the water activities as additional payment to avoid the annoying third party service providers. I will visit this hotel again with no doubt, so don't miss it!
The issue is that this hotel is in a small island with limited resources, and water is rationed to a couple of hours per day. Other than that, is basic but acceptable: Food, rooms, facilities, drinks. Staff is courteous and professional. Beach is amazing (a little cold though). It was worth every penny and if I can I will return.
This hotel is one of the best in Coche... It is probably the most expensive one, but I think it's worth it... It is located in the most beutiful area of the island, so it's difficult not to like the place. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and the showers are something else... Believe me! You can take a shower under the stars, it can be so romantic, if you like that kind of stuff! The only detail I noticed was the matress... It wasn't the most comfortable one... After 4 nights sleeping on it, I got a bit of a back ache. The pool area is really nice with an ocean view, and you have open bar (everything is included, actually). However, I would stay away from the fruity cocktails, since they are made with low quality vodka (I noticed they used the same vodka even for cocktails that were supposed to be prepared with something else) and the fruit flavor is very artificial. However, this might not be the same all the time, it might depend on the season. Another thing I noticed is they offered more food variety when the high season started (we were there during the transition between low and high season in December 2016). However, I would go back any time... It is a great hotel, although I prefer to go to the beach during low season, I don't like crowds (the place never got too crowded anyways, but I liked it better when there were few people).
I loved it, the location, the open showers are fantastic, excellent food, wonderful staff, the beach, the infinite swimmingpool, my husband and I spent 1 week by New Year's it was the best vacations !!! I recommend it, you have to fly to Margarita Island and then go by boat to Coche Island, I would love to go back but, unfortunately there's no flights from Canada to Margarita Island anymore.....
This hotel has many villas around. The suites are really fantastic. Has an amazing white sand beach with a closely located kiteboarding school. The best beach for windsurfing and kiteboarding right in front of el Yaque. The hotel has all inclusive food and drinks. The pool is totally supreme and the service is one of the top remarks of this hotel. Really recommended every time. It's the best in the island. There are only four hotels but this one is totally ahead of the rest.
We stayed at Punta Blanca in January 2011, for a week with our 3 kids, age 9, 12, and 13. The boat transfer from Margarita Island was super sketchy, in the dark with only a flashlight. We really worried "what have we gotten ourselves into". The location is perfect for a relaxing week in the sun and sand. The rooms were so cute, kinda like little cabanas, with an area outside to sit and relax. There was only one restaurant when we were there, a buffet which was ok but after a couple of days the food was always the same. We went on 2 excursions, one snorkeling trip and visit to a small island with a healing mud bath, and a trip around Margarita Island with a taxi driver Ludmia, that was amazing! We felt very safe exploring around our resort, and have amazing memories of our stay.
Excelent option for vacation. Marvelous view. Very good service and multiple option to eat. Confortables and clean rooms. Enjoy weather. The beach is the best of all you can find crabs, little octopus, starfish and other marine life. Don't lose the sunrise and sunset at the beach
This is my favorite place in the world. The beach, the rooms, the food, the pool, everything is just perfect. I've been there twice (2011 & 2014) and I love it. Too bad I can't fly directly to Coche Island because the Margarita airport is crowded and small.
The first time I visited SunSol Punta Blanca in Coche Island, my parents sister and I had an amazing time. We spent Christmas of 2013 there and we were really sad when we left. The second time I went was this August 2015 and it was even better. I thought it couldn't get any better but it did. The food is delicious- a wide variety of food that satisfies everyone. The rooms are really cozy and very appropriate for a beach resort. The bathrooms are clean, and the showers are on the outer part of the room and they are ceiling less, so you take and outside shower in the privacy of your room. The pool has an infinite view and it's just beautiful. The beach is great with many fun activities to do for all ages. My family and I loved SunSol so much, that we bought five year membership to the SunSol Vacation Club, so I'll be going back soon.
The best experience! The beach with white sand and clear water. Excellent attention. All inclusive with delicious food. Originals rooms ;-) 100% Recommended. I hope back soon. The best vacactions Thanks SunSol
