Arrowwood staff was exceptional. The meeting space worked perfectly for our needs. I had read other reviews and agree that the hotel could use some updates, but to me, cleanliness, and exceptional customer service are far more important than 'Taj Mahal' type venue. The hotel is clean, views of the golf course everywhere. The food was great- a little bit of everything to please all. All in all, this is a great place to stay, great value! Try it, you'll like lit.
I checked in off season, the room was large and clean, wall paper was peeling in spots. The bed was hard wiry and very uncomfortable. The room was very dated, I felt like I was back in the 1980s. When I turned the shower on there was a musty smell, once in the shower I took a deeper look at the tile on the walls and saw why, while the grout was not moldy, the tiles have texture in them, the dark lines I thought were pattern were actually mold that you could scrub away with a wash cloth. I attended the breakfast bar, I was startled to see gnats around the fresh fruit left uncovered on the counter, so I passed on that If I were going to Spirit lake again I would definitely not stay here again
The service wasn't very good. We stayed for two nights. They didn't clean our room or bring fresh towels during our stay. I went to the front desk and got a ' they must have forgot' answer. The next day I went back to the front desk to find it vacant. I waited awhile and no one ever did show up. Not very satisfied
Great hotel very comfortable bed, nicely laid out with plenty of parking. This would be a great place to have a reunion as they have wonderful amenities the only issue is that the breakfast is very sad. It's a continental breakfast the tea is not very good nor is the coffee. And there's no full pieces of fruit their cut up and then mushy.
After reading reviews on here, we were a little leery about this place. We were pleasantly surprised to find our rooms clean and very nice furnishings. I think we were in the side that has recently been remodeled, so the carpet looked new and the room looked nice and updated. The hallway carpet was dirty and worn, but I'm sure that will be replaced soon. I'd rather have the room done first rather than the halls. The staff were very friendly and helpful. WiFi was great and worked perfectly. The breakfast was pretty typical for hotels these days, and it was always well stocked. Can't really say anything bad about the place. We'd definitely stay again.
Everything at Okoboji is overpriced, but we found the Arrowhead to be a little bit more value for the money. Bed was comfortable, price was better than some, it was clean and quiet, and the staff was exceptionally pleasant. What more could anyone want?
Stayed here for a two day conference. Rooms are large and clean. There is a nice on site restaurant. The layout of the hotel is weird because it's had several additions over the years. It backs onto a pretty golf course but doesn't have outdoor spaces where you can sit to enjoy that view and be outdoors. The location is good for going to other attractions around the lakes.
Right smack in the heart of Okoboji. Literally across the street and down the street from the lakes. Good food at Minerva's (the restaurant inside), indoor and outdoor pool, salon, and breakfast. There are a couple shops inside too, though they are bridal/prom shop. Rooms are quite nice. Comfortable beds and friendly staff made for a pleasant experience.
I knew from previous visits to this town that this wasn't the best place in town, but didn't want to spend a lot. Hotel is older resort and rooms are worn and need updating. Clean. No elevator to our room, not sure if there is any. The restaurant is good as is the bar area. Would stay again but don't expect top notch.
This resort is very nice, on the water, and there are plenty of things to do in a relaxed, slow-paced sort of way. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. We would have loved to have a view of the water but that was not to be. The lobby, outside decks, enclosed pool area, and grounds were beautiful. During the day we went to the local town Main Street and enjoyed shopping. Very cute shops. Loved the antique and quilting store. Used the local laundromat to catch up since we had been on the road. There are no laundry facilities at the resort, something that the resort should consider remedying for families or folks staying more than a day or two.
