This is a great find in New Town for a more affordable rate than others nearby. Comfortable, good food, great bar, and friendly staff. The area itself is very safe.
We have stayed at a number of hotels in edinburgh and the Angels share is one of our favorites. The location and staff sre wonderful.
First of all Great Location!!! Right in the middle of where its happening. The staff was so nice and made that "extra" effort that insures their clients have all the needs met. The bar staff was very knowledge and the food was so great. The chef deserves 2 thumbs up! If your looking for a great location close to the Castle and Prince Street this is the place. The next time were planning on getting tickets for the Tattoo, we will definitely book this place again. Thank you all for making our holiday wonderful!
If you are looking for a centrally located hotel where most anything you'd like to do is within walking distance, this is a good hotel for you. However, it is extremely noisy. There is live music with sing-a-long in the bar until 11:30 or 12 most nights which we could hear as if we were there (we were on the second floor). It is on an alley and pass-through so trucks go through most of the night and especially in the early morning for deliveries. The wifi in the room did not work despite several assurances they were working on it. You can get wifi on any moving bus in Edinburgh but you can't get wifi in this hotel's rooms. Unacceptable and really inconvenient. The staff were friendly and nice as Scottish people are.

I arrived early before the room was ready but staff checked me in so I could return from lunch and go directly to the room once it was ready. The room was clean and the hotel was in an excellent location to see the city and do a pub crawl. Over all cost, location and amenities made this a great stay.
