Excellent breakfast. Great variety and plenty to eat. Very nice clean pool area, and nice hot hot tub! Beds very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful.

The check-in was quick and painless, the clerk was polite and accommodating. The hotel was nice looking both inside and out. Unfortunately I ended up with a room with the elevator on the other side of the wall. I had to listen to it all night, didn't sleep well. The parking was terrible. The hotel shares a parking lot with a local chain restaurant that gets very busy; between the two the parking lot didn't have enough spots, I had to park across the street at a strip mall and walk to the hotel. The next day I counted only 22 parking spots available in the entire lot.

I'm not usually one to give negative reviews, but my experience here was less than positive. The one good thing was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful to the best of their ability. It's nice to deal with friendly people when you travel. I'll give them that. But the hotel itself, let's see: Wireless internet suddenly stopped working for me, and hotel couldn't do anything to help as they said it was working fine and it was issue with my computuer. Weird because my computer logged on just fine for the first 2 days I was there. The elevator is really slow. It's a ways away from anything in Saint Paul/Minneapolis and you have to go through a maze of freeways to get anywhere. 20 minutes from anything. I wouldn't stay here again.

We chose this hotel for its close proximity to a concert venue-that part was great. The hotel offers free breakfast which is great but the breakfast area set up is essentially in a hallway and eating area is small-it was chaos in the morning. Be careful when booking-we inadvertently ended up in a smoking room which stunk.

Got to the hotel at 4:10 p.m., and we were told our room was not ready. Came back about an hour later, and the attitude of the staff was less then friendly for check-in.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Great price for the quality.

There are only two issues, and nothing worth not going there, but you have to be an educated consumer when you shop, eat, or stay anywhere, these days. When my father and I checked in, we were assigned rooms (which is always my quandry, how any hotel does it, when there are so many OPEN ones available, why it seems they put you in the worst one, first, or split the party into two floors?), but after changing his room once, from smoking to non-smoking, and both being on the ground floor, I set up my computer, and before really settling in, starting hearing the annoying sounds of the elevator "going up"... Buzz/hummmmm... and then "down" whoooshhhhhhh! Anyway, why they even put rooms right next to an elevator shaft is beyond me. Turn it into an office, exercise room, or something else?? So, I was easily moved... and BTW none of this is the staff's fault, it is all they have to work with. Now, as to breakfast... that they tout as a fabulous "full" breakfast", it is "O.K." It is clean and kept stocked, but no meats or hot eggs just didn't do it. And, paper bowls are never appetizing, especially for cereal or oatmeal. Again, not worth NOT staying there, but if you are expecting a "hot meal" all there was were Waffles. We would go back.

I will definitely stay here again!! The free breakfast included waffles and biscuits and gravy. The staff is amazing. Room was clean and fresh couldn't tell they allowed smoking in the hotel, no odor of smoke at all.

Staff was good. Place was clean. Breakfast was good. One bad experience was that the room air conditioner was bad - so noisy you couldn't sleep. It was replaced with a new unit for the next night and then we slept comfortably. I was disappointed that the motel did not give us some type of credit for the first night. Other than that, the stay was comfortable and adequate

On business trip. Nothing special but clean, good people. Bar to have a beer in front

Staff was friendly, helpful. Room was comfortable, quiet, equipped with microwave and refrigerator. Fitness room ok, though it lacked a treadmill. Indoor pool available. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Hallway smelled smoky, but room (non-smoking) was fine.

The AmericInn at Inver Grove Heights, MN was a very pleasant experience. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was always helpful.
