We stayed at the Zillertal in early January while we were in Innsbruck to see the four hills ski-jumping competition. The hotel is perfectly located for the Bergisel; although a bit of a walk into the old city there is a tram stop nearby, just around the corner (the No.1 tram takes you straight into town, while the STB tram will take you to the train station). The breakfast was quite good, although there wasn't as much variety as some of the other places we stayed in Austria. The omelettes were particularly tasty! Although we booked two 'comfort double rooms', ours seemed to be significantly bigger than the other couple's. The layout of our room was particularly good, with a small hallway to hang our wet gear after standing in the pouring rain for hours at the ski jumping.
We booked this hotel because it was central and had parking. It was far better than we could have wishes for. We were allowed to leave our car in the under ground garage and we were able to walk everywhere we needed to. Worth getting the Innsbruck ticket for access to the attractions. A lovely clean, central hotel with a warm family welcome. Glad we chose here than a personless chain. Great value nice setting.
Very good value for money for a single room in Innsbruck. Single room on small side but very clean ok for a few nights. hotel is a good 10 mim walk from town center so not the best location. . Ok stay. Breakfast not included.
We spent one night in this pension, and it was a pleasant surprise. Zillertal shares a building with regular apartments, so residents live in the same building as the guests. However, most of the rooms have their own hall, separated from the main corridor by locked door. Rooms are spacious and with large windows. They were well lit, and ours was facing the back of the building, and the quiet street. Beds were comfortable and large enough. Others were complaining about their size, but those in our double room were perfectly adequate for large people. Room had a desk and a large cupboard, with a lot of details usually reserved for higher class establishments. Bathroom was large and very clean. It is separated from the room with glass pane, so it has a lot of light. However, it goes in both directions, so if someone is using the bathroom while other tries to sleep, light form the bathroom will light the room as well. Position of the glass pane and the bathroom is different between the rooms, so if you have the problem with it, try switching the rooms. Zillertal is placed a bit away form the centre, some 15 to 20 minutes of walk form the Golden Roof. It is located just next to the main street that goes through the town, so it is easy to find. Just across the street is a cinema and several bars, there is a gas station nearby, and it is right next to the ski jumping ramp. There are few free parking spaces in front of the hotel, and there is enough paid parking for 7€ per day in the street Breakfast was excellent, and if weather allows, it can be served on lovely terrace next to the dining hall. Staff is very pleasant. WiFi signal was good. Reception is closed after 10 o'clock in the evening, but there is a night receptionist present. I would recommend it, and I would stay here again for sure.
After a few tiny more expensive stays the zillertal was very refreshing. The staff were friendly and very helpful with showing us where to park and best ways to get to town. Breakfast was realky good. The room was spacious with nice big opening windows. And the bathroom was fab. Everything was clean and well serviced. Grest stay
Hotel is a residential apartment building with hotel rooms for rent. The staff is very pleasant sand helpful. I believe it is family run. The room itself was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was very good with a nice variety of things to choose from. The Wifi worked well and the overall decor of room and hotel was pleasant. The location of the hotel offered great access to public transportation and the city center. It is actually about 10-15 walk from the train station. There is a large cinema about a block away and a good amount of decent restaurants nearby. On the not so good side the single room was extremely small. The building had no elevator (had to walk up three flights of stairs). However, the nice gentleman at the front desk carried my luggage to the room for me. No English speaking stations (not even news) on TV. Bathroon was uncomfortably tiny--especially the position of the toilet. But all and all, because the staff was so nice, the location was good, it was very clean and I got a decent rate, I would return. However, I would opt for a double room for single use to get a bit more space.
Stayed here for one night on the way from Munich to Rome. The hotel is reasonably priced and in a convenient location (about a 15 minute walk to the Altstadt, and there is also a tram stop nearby). The room I had was facing away from the street, so it was peaceful and had a good view. Breakfast was decent and the staff were friendly. The downsides were that the bathroom in my room was tiny, and the bed wasn't particularly comfortable. The TV channels were also only in German, which may be a problem for some people.
A modern, medium size Inn located in quiet part of town. Within walking distance to the center and famous "Golden roof". Our room was quite large with an extra sitting area, queen bed, couch, wardrobe and writing desk. A mountain view out the window completed the picture. Spacious bathroom with great shower. Buffet breakfast with many choices, included. Attentive staff. Free Wi-Fi and parking. Overall, a good choice for Innsbruck.
We stayed at Zillertal hotel for one night in our way to the airport. It is located in convenient place at the entrance to the city with few parking places (first come-first win). We choose this hotel because of the parking, but at the time we arrived no parking place left. In the morning we moved our car to the hotel's parking. The hotel is in walking distance from the city center. There is no elevator in the building and there are many stairs. The breakfast was good and with lots of varieties.
Stayed for 4 nights Breakfast being included was great and very handy The room was lovely and airy, just like the photos and the bathroom was enormous compared with others we had stayed in on our journey through Europe. We had a room at the back of the building so were not bothered by street noise and were able to keep our window open all night (it was hot!) The room and bathroom were both nice and clean, and there was an option of daily housekeeping at no extra charge. A straight forward 15 minute stroll into the city, the staff were very friendly and good at pointing out where everything was on the map they provided. The only downside was that the pillows were hard and we had to pad them with our clothes
