Early June 2016 (Apologies late review, been writing book). From my diary - There were no tissues, tea or coffee, and European pillows with barely any stuffing, and no glass from which to drink (water that horrid?) BUT everything else was crisp and neat in room #1040. Scales to offset holiday obesity; stool for the feeble; magnifying glass for the slipped eyebrows. Very inviting bath-tub, but no handrail, and not wanting to find myself in a position where I could not get out, I declined to indulge. I placed the bathmat on the bath base while showering and to my delight staff kindly supplied me with a crocodile bath mat for our second night. How cool is that? Did they know we came from a land where crocodiles can wander freely? PS - breakfasts very nourishing - well done!
Fortunately first choice booked out as this was in a better location. Quite large and catered for groups but no problem. Room spotless and not huge but adequate. At back and quiet. Breakfast good. Small bar nice. Excellent location on edge of Old Town. Raining most of time and cold so good to be close. Touristy but prices reasonable. Smoking everywhere awful. Some bars and cafes non smoking. Some both. Others blew you out the door. Full ban next year. Bring it on. Hotels say non smoking but ashtrays everywhere. Go figure.
The hotel has wonderful location with just 2 minutes walk from Golden roof. It is located opposite scenic river. Rooms were very spacious, we took triple room. Breakfast had lot of options. Highly recommended.
I stayed one night in Innsbruck to break up a train journey between Rimini and Munich. I ordered a single room and was given a large twin room with a seating area. Location is excellent close to city centre and river Inn. I had to be out early to catch a train and the hotel gave me a packed lunch to take with me as I had to skip breakfast.
A warm welcome and a good room although there was only a small window too high to look out. An excellent breakfast meant a good start to the day. Well located in relation to the old town and only ten minutes walk to the station.
The Hotel Innsbruck is in a fantastic location right on the edge of the old town. It's right by all the restaurants and shopping. As well right beside the river and close to the train to get you up to the mountain. The views were great as well. A nicely kept property with large rooms. The nice pathways along the river are great for walking or jogging.
The spa, renovated rooms, and overall great location makes this a must stay hotel. The spa provides two experiences with the lower floor suited more for families (small pool) and the upper floor for non textile adult environment. Super location to walk the old town or taking the cable car to the summit for a breathtaking view. Overall service was excellent and the rooms were nicely furnished. Small garage with limited parking so be sure to reserve a parking space in advance. Breakfast buffet had extensive choices. A great value with many perks.
Recently stayed there for 1 night. We had a large room with one King and one single bed, which is great because we are a family of four and the extra bed is not a sloppy sofa bed, but a comfortable bed. The location great, just 2 mins away from restaurants, old town, etc. Breakfast was the best from the 7 hotels we stayed during our trip, with large range of varieties, big restaurant and good service. The reason for not giving the 5th star is because of parking, I thought they have a garage and they did, but maybe my car was a van, or maybe because it was full, we couldn't park at the garage located below the hotel. Instead, we have to park at the parking across the street. Luckily, we off loaded the luggages at the curb of the road right in front of the hotel which the staff told me not allow, but we did...(lucky we did) because it will be so much hassle to bring 5 luggages across the street in rain. Other than the parking issue, everything else is perfect.
Hotel Innsbruck offered a decent location, spacious room and excellent spa options for a brief one day visit to Innsbruck. Breakfast was usual hotel fair. The upstairs nude spa is certainly a treat, and well worth a visit. The sauna area is excellent. The pool area in the basement was not up to the same standard. It's a shame the hotel does not have a gym given it has two spas.
Loved it and cannot wait to visit again. Wonderful location near cafes and shopping and sightseeing. Rooms are spacious and lovely and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was memorable especially the smoked salmon and great cheeses.
