We stayed at Hotel Innsbruck on Saturday night and were very impressed. It was decorated well and in modern taste, foyer and bedrooms were spacious and relaxing. The bar is nice, restaurant spacious and breakfast of a high quality. All with a low price. Worth a visit
We stayed here as part of a group staying a week in Austria. There are many good points to praise the hotel. It is friendly and welcoming and we did not have the problem that others have mentioned i.e. the bar staff and reception staff being rude or offhand. They were very approachable and friendly. The breakfasts are excellent but we felt, at times, they needed more staff clearing and re-setting tables ready for more residents coming in for their meal. our room was ok if a little dated. The lighting was appalling - so dim it what almost impossible to read by. The bathroom was very good. Another let down was, as a group, our evening meal was very poor. Uninspiring and boring and luke-warm at best. Not good enough for a four star hotel. On our last morning we were all locked out of our rooms at 9am !! It took several attempts for a new room key to open our bedroom door. Good thing we were on the first floor and not higher up. It is a good hotel if not a wonderful hotel. We loved the convenience of being so close to the old town of Innsbruck and the view of the mountains out of our bedroom window. With a little more attention to details it could be a really nice place to stay. We did not experience the pool or the sauna.
Beautifully appointed hotel - room very comfortable and warm despite he outside temperatures! Staff helpful and very professional. Lovely breakfast. The restaurant wasn't open in the evening as they had a group booking, but a waiter directed us to an excellent restaurant nearby.
Booked this hotel due to the convenience of being very well located. Very close to the old town and 100 metres away from the ski bus parking stop. Rooms are good enough for a ski/winter vacation, but unfortunately did not have a great experience with the staff at the hotel. I´m not sure if it is the language barrier but when you ask anything to the staff they almost always look annoyed to even have to try to speak English. Breakfast is also quite bad.
Stayed here with the family over New Year. Great location with Old Town easily accessible and an easy walk from the train station. A great base for Innsbruck, particularly for New Years Eve. The hotel itself was clean and modern. Rooms were in the small side however were completely comfortable. It was great to have a pool though and it was a great place to relax after a full day out in the snow. Service was efficient although not so friendly. Breakfast was a good spread. Overall, recommend highly for anyone looking for a base in Innsbruck.
This hotel provided everything we required for a one night stay over Valentine’s Day. We arrived too early to check in which was fine, we left our bags with reception and by the time we returned later in the day, they’d been moved to our room for us. The location is immediately next to the old town, which is where pretty much everything you need is. It’s a five minute walk from the tram stop which takes you to the cable car, and the staff were extremely helpful in terms of giving us directions and recommendations of places to go in the limited time we had there. We purchased the Innsbruck card from reception which was thoroughly worthwhile, even for just 24 hours. The swimming pool and sauna were pleasant and well maintained. Robes and extra towels are provided for this, free of charge. The breakfast was large and varied, and the staff were very accommodating at all times, with all of them speaking fluent English. Would definitely return.
The hotel is perfectly located in the old part of the city. Our room was on the 3rd floor with a lovely view of the river & the mountains. The food is superb & believe me the breakfast is something else!! --Wow!! At the end of each day spend some time to wind down in the swimming pool & the sauna. The other sauna is on the top floor & is naked--don't be embaressed. All of the staff were very friendly & helpful.
We stayed at the Hotel Innsbruck in January 2018 as part of a ski holiday stopover. The rooms are very modern, clean (upper floor rooms were being renovated during the day) and well furnished. Staff are professional and helpful. The buffet breakfast which is included in the stay, is the best that we had in Europe. The kids enjoyed the pool facilities, and we enjoyed the bar and lobby lounge as a place where we could catchup with friends who were staying nearby. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful Christmas market filled weekend break in Innsbruck and the Hotel Innsbruck was the perfect place to stay. Out triple room was beautifully designed with wooden panelling details and a beautiful view over the river and the mountains We were a minutes was from the nearest market. We used the spa area and pool. The breakfasts were plentiful and the staff were really helpful. What more can you ask for?
This hotel failed to meet its potential due to terrible service. On the positive side, the location is good and the breakfast is reasonable. Unfortunately we had several serious issues with the hotel for a family holiday where we’d booked multiple rooms. The rooms we had booked were not available because the hotel decided to renovate them and the builders were only available when we’d booked them. The builders then turn up at 5.45am and make a racket that wakes the kids and smoke cigarettes so the smell of smoke gets into the room. The bar and reception service were also terrible. There are no bottle openers in the room and the bar staff refuse to lend you one. Every time we asked reception to organise something or give advice, it was always wrong. One example is not booking a massage for my sister after she’d gone on an all day hike. Another is asking to have a taxi booked. After 15 minutes of inexplicable tapping away on her computer, the receptionist noticed a line building up behind me. Her response was to write a phone number on a post it, hand it to me and say “call them yourself”. Pretty basic requests can’t be resolved. All in all, avoid this place if you can.
