The hotel is perfectly located in the old part of the city. Our room was on the 3rd floor with a lovely view of the river & the mountains. The food is superb & believe me the breakfast is something else!! --Wow!! At the end of each day spend some time to wind down in the swimming pool & the sauna. The other sauna is on the top floor & is naked--don't be embaressed. All of the staff were very friendly & helpful.
We stayed at the Hotel Innsbruck in January 2018 as part of a ski holiday stopover. The rooms are very modern, clean (upper floor rooms were being renovated during the day) and well furnished. Staff are professional and helpful. The buffet breakfast which is included in the stay, is the best that we had in Europe. The kids enjoyed the pool facilities, and we enjoyed the bar and lobby lounge as a place where we could catchup with friends who were staying nearby. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful Christmas market filled weekend break in Innsbruck and the Hotel Innsbruck was the perfect place to stay. Out triple room was beautifully designed with wooden panelling details and a beautiful view over the river and the mountains We were a minutes was from the nearest market. We used the spa area and pool. The breakfasts were plentiful and the staff were really helpful. What more can you ask for?
This hotel failed to meet its potential due to terrible service. On the positive side, the location is good and the breakfast is reasonable. Unfortunately we had several serious issues with the hotel for a family holiday where we’d booked multiple rooms. The rooms we had booked were not available because the hotel decided to renovate them and the builders were only available when we’d booked them. The builders then turn up at 5.45am and make a racket that wakes the kids and smoke cigarettes so the smell of smoke gets into the room. The bar and reception service were also terrible. There are no bottle openers in the room and the bar staff refuse to lend you one. Every time we asked reception to organise something or give advice, it was always wrong. One example is not booking a massage for my sister after she’d gone on an all day hike. Another is asking to have a taxi booked. After 15 minutes of inexplicable tapping away on her computer, the receptionist noticed a line building up behind me. Her response was to write a phone number on a post it, hand it to me and say “call them yourself”. Pretty basic requests can’t be resolved. All in all, avoid this place if you can.
From the very first meeting until we left, everything was first class. All staff are happy and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was great and robes supplied. We had dinner in the old town so can’t comment but the breakfast was again, excellent with a large selection and very good staff. We didn’t try the pool downstairs but the 6th floor panorama area was terrific. Lots of towels, choice of 2 saunas and a steam room. An extra shower would be good as only having 2 meant a short wait. No big deal. One couple arrived in swimwear but soon worked out the correct dress code. Overall an excellent stay. Parking on site via an elevator but be sure to book as it is limited.
This is a great location. 2 mins walk from old town centre and a stone's throw from the bridge over the river Inn. We were in Innsbruck for Christmas market and so only 30 seconds from Chriskindel market, 2 mins from the market in old town square and 5 mins from the market at Marie Theresa Platz. Hotel was comfortable and we had a good room. Breakfast was very good and the bar served a good selection at good prices. Our only disappointment was the spa. We could never get a sun lounger and it was all rather small. So we were unable to use it. We did book a massage and this was good. Overall we were very happy with the hotel and would highly recommend to others
I stayed one night in Innsbruck on way to ski trip. I didn't book until I touched down because I was unsure of my flight. I took the quick bus from the airport to the cobblestone streets of Old town and used my mapquest to locate available hotels (which I had researched prior). My particular attraction to this place was its pool and spa amenities. And it is also steps to everything you would want. When I got there Sylvia greeted me and was able to price match me to hotels.com. She was the most helpful person at the hotel. She also provided me an Innsbruck card (Eu 39) which I knew would get me into the Nordkette cable car and Swarovski world, as well as other things if I was interested. She provided me info of how to get to the funicular within the hour (Congress stop 5 min walk away), which was a great experience. The pool and Sauna facilities were great, and warming after experiencing the cold from the mountains. Be aware the top floor facilities are adult only (no bathing suits allowed) and is open 4-10. The rooftops views are incredible there. The pool is where I spent most of my time, it was in the basement, but was quite warm, though not necessarily quiet if a lot of families are there. The first night I was surprised to see a family of four essentially dominate the whole pool to the point I felt I didnt want to go in. It went on for over an hour. So loud screaming and the parents just egged them on. It was like 9 at night and the mother was giving them lessons, and they were splashing all over the place and being so loud as if no one else was there (the pool isn't that big). I did not complain I just left when I realized they were not leaving anytime soon. I would think there would be signs up saying no screaming etc, for safety reasons anyway, but there weren't. The next day I went back to use the sauna, I had about a half hour before I was leaving to use it but it was not on. Apparently the front desk needs to activate it and it takes 20 min to warm up so I missed that. The room was lovely, the showers great - clean. I took my bath. The breakfast layout was great - lots of choices: cheese, meats, juices etc. After I was asked my room number I wasn't sure if I was supposed to tip, because I thought the breakfast was included. I asked Tatiana at the front desk about it, she gave me some crazy look like how dare I ask, so I went back and left 2 Euro, though I'm pretty sure in hindsight it was not necessary. Tatiana also would not allow much of a late checkout despite the other woman saying it would be ok, and she also caused me to be late for a shuttle I was trying to catch by mischarging my card on checkout, and causing me to have to open my computer to see what was wrong, when she knew my ride was about to leave and we could have handled it after (they had all my luggage so I was definitey coming back). She wasn't at all concerned I was late. Again Sylvia handled everything and I got the shuttle on time, after sprinting to get to it. Overall the hotel was pretty good and worth the price I paid. I wish I had better guidance as to the times of the different things going on, and I wish I didn't do the Nordkette car at 4pm when it was getting cold and dark, and did it the next morning when it was gorgeous and warm. I just didn't know the times things ran and I didn't feel the desk offered much info when I was trying to decide. I pretty much weeded through brochures to figure things out back in my room, when they just as easily could have told me. I don't feel its a real touristy hotel in that sense. I was told many Austrians speak English but I didn't feel communication was easy at all. I take the blame for not having more time to brush up on German. One last note, again Sylvia was kind enough to offer me a usb charger as I left mine at home, which I thought was awfully kind, and she did not even charge a deposit which so many other hotels do (like 50 euro deposit). She also upgraded me to River facing room which was so great. Anyway, I would absolutely stay again, and it would likely be better knowing what I know now. But overall great place in Innsbruck!
As part of an Annual family Europe trip to the Christmas markets this year Innsbruck was our chosen destination. We stayed here for 2 nights in 2 rooms. Location is fantastic, centrally located in old town Innsbruck. One of the towns Christmas market was located opposite the hotel. Everything you could want is right on your doorstep. Hotel was clean and modern (although not all rooms have been modernised) Breakfast was included and had a great selection of food and drink on offer. There were unfortunately a few things that let this hotel down and I will explain without trying to sound like a miserable old woman. Firstly the bar service. Bar staff were rude and we were ignored at the bar for over 10 mins (all bar team said they were busy making cocktails for the group booking in the restaurant) I am unsure why all 3 staff would all have to neglect paying guests in the bar to serve one party. I was left waiting and ignored when I asked for a glass for water (given I was 6 months pregnant I thought this was pretty poorly dealt with) My husband and I ended up leaving and going to a drink in a next door bar. I informed the reception staff who didn’t seem to care too much. Secondly, on our second night the bar below (not part of the hotel) was playing exceptionally loud music. My husband and I have travelled all over the world and this was the worst noise we have ever experienced in any hotel room. Having informed the reception, they told us they couldn’t do anything until 11pm. This wasn’t good enough in my opinion even though I do understand this was not in their direct control. I had to make 2 phone calls before they offered us to move rooms. Eventually this was dealt with but it was an inconvenience to move rooms at 10pm. Overall, despite the above we did enjoy our stay here and Innsbruck was a lovely town and comes highly recommended.
This a totally refurbished, charming hotel, located near the Golden Roof. Easy access on foot to the buses that lead to the sky resorts and sightseeing tours and also to the old part of the city. Breakfast is very good and rooms are confortable. The only problem is that the parking is one block away.
I have stayed in this hotel for 3 nights (room number 220). I got mix feelings about this hotel: Strength: we booked deluxe room and I found it big enough. I never ever stayed in a hotel with soundproof room! Corridor or any outdoor sounds are never heard in the room. The hotel got fantastic breakfast literally there is everything for everyone and the ladies were too friendly . Hotel location is perfect. Area of improvement: house keeping is disaster (some reviews mentioned the same too) glasses kept were not washed, rooms weren’t cleaned properly. Hotel does not provide complimentary water neither add every day tea/coffee complimentary after cleaning the room. I didn’t feel welcomed at check in time likewise had felt in Vienna 4 star hotel. The smiles and cheerful faces are missing from the staff. The WiFi service in the room is too weak!
- Walking distance to Golden Roof and Cathedral of St. James
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Onsite dining
