Austria Classic Hotel BinderS Innsbruck

Needing an overnight stay on the long drive from northern Italy to Prague, we picked the Hotel Binders in Innsbruck based on reviews. It was exactly as described: handy location, just off the highway for drivers, or close to the airport; also, a short walk to the city centre, about 10minutes, or take the nearby tram if inclined. It’s a standard business hotel - the rooms were comfortable without excess, clean and tidy, fine if utterly unmemorable. There’s limited parking on site for a fee, ask when booking - though there’s plenty of street parking nearby. Staff speak fluent German and Italian, as well as English. The common areas are filled with businessmen in suits, conducting their trade in a mix of local languages. Hotel Binders’ single great asset is its breakfast, as noted in other reviews. The buffet is extensive and eclectic, with a range of warm and cold items, principally standard European mountain fare, of above-average quality; we did several rounds because it was quite a spectacle. I personally enjoyed slicing my own prosciutto from the WHOLE LEG positioned in the middle of the serving area. But perhaps the best bit was the drinks bar: alongside a selection of breakfast juices were several open bottles of prosecco, as well as several tubes of Berocca. Clearly Innsbruck businessmen go hard or go home.

We stayed in this hotel just one night, on our way from Switzerland to Italy. We have 3 kids and got a family room with 4 beds and a baby cot. Good price for money. Location is convenient if you are driving. Just outside of the old town and with lots of free (at night) parking places around.

The reception desk during the check in really unfriendly.. She more or less yelled me, when I filled in a field wrongly. We were at the breakfast around 09:15. I never heard before that the breakfast would be finished at 09:30 on Sundays. The staff told me that we were so late. There was no bread at all. By the way she brought us something in 15 minutes. At 09:30 they started to clean the breakfast room very noisy. It was really uncomfortable 😣 There was no parking lot of the hotel. Even just front of the hotel there was a parking lot, but we were not allowed to park there. She told us these are only for the hotel guests! Who were than am I than?🤔 Additionally this hotel is outside of the city center and far away from everything and even there is no restaurant around. Only thing was good here that room was clean! By the way I am not sure about 4 stars of the hotel. And really expensive for a night. For 3 adults and 1 child, we paid 320 euro a night. I am really sure that I will never stay here again.

This was just for an overnight stop, and luckily that's all it was. This hotel caters to smokers in a fashion reminiscent of the old days...even though it's technically smoke-free, the smoke comes in fro the patio, smoking room and outside...with paper-thin room doors, you can hear every sound in the hallway. 4 stars? I don't know how one even begins to consider this a 4-star hotel. The breakfast was the highlight and fresh-squeezed OJ (by cool machine) was really a nice treat. But...oh, the price was certainly attractive as well, and the staff were friendly and helpful. So...if you're looking for basic accommodation in Innsbruck, in an area not too far from the center, but close to transportation, the Tivoli pool, and with a good breakfast, this is your place. But the smokey smell and dysfunctional room forced me to give this property just 2 stars.

Our family of four stayed at Binder S for two nights. Our quad room had a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and dining pation. It was quiet, with few smokers. The hotel is rather far from Old Town and the tourist areas in Innsbruck. This made fnding restaurants for dinner very difficult. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the hotel is very clean and simple. The breakfast is outstanding, the best we have had in Austrian hotels and hostels! The hotel is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, but it is a long walk to Old Town. We would most likely try and find a hotel closer to Old Town in the future, simply for the convenience. Overall, this is a lovely small hotel, just not convenient as a tourist.

We briefly stayed at Binders during our tour of Austria - we arrived very late after driving through the Alps and the reception staff were very helpful. Our check in rep was very sweet and made sure we tried the water (apparently water is potable all across Austria! After we spent a whole lot of money buying bottled water) The reality of the hotel is not what appears in the booking pictures. It is a quaint motel - outdated decor and kinda smelled musty. Very narrow hallways - perhaps a modified apartment building? The room was VERY small and VERY VERY dimly lit - 2 small halogen lights over the headboard. Beds were very small, perhaps child size twin. We could barely see though and had to leave the washroom light on. It was very stuffy with bad air circulation and somewhat aggravated our allergies. There was a safe and a closet, but it was located in a weird place where it would block off the bed/small desk. Interestingly, the washroom was bright and modern and pretty big in comparison to the room. I had issues with the slow water pressure and it took forever to take a decent shower after a long day on the road. The room was functional for a brief stay - I think I would get frustrated if I had to stay any longer. The staff were so kind though that it made up for it.

This was probably the most expensive hotel I've ever stayed in, but by far the poorest quality. Innsbruck is an expensive city and we stayed on New Year's Eve. Binder's is located in the dodgiest part of town and it's a horrible, iffy 20 minute walk to all the sites. It's supposed to be a 4 star hotel with 4 star prices but with a hostel atmosphere and quality. SPEND YOUR MONEY ON A HOTEL IN SEEFELD AND VISIT INNSBRUCK ON A DAY TRIP

Close to the footbal stadium and ice rink. 15 min walk to the city centre. Clean rooms. Great breakfast buffet with freshly squezed orange juice, perfect espresso , and good food selection. Lacking a restaurant otherwise good value for money

Surprised seeing 4*: parking in the street, paid wifi, poorly equipped rooms, ugly downstairs bar. First time in my life I have seen receptionist following the 4 of us, once we came back from the dinner, checking which room we enter- is it so unusual that 4 people family pay for 4 beds in the room? Bathroom was okey, we did not check breakfast (paid extra).

If you are looking for a decent price for Innsbruck standards, Arthotel Binders is a solution. It's 20' on foot from the central station in a quiet area. The room we got (302) was recently renovated, looked modern, was very warm and clean, and had a small balcony with nice view over the mountains. The bathroom door slides across the room and doesn't give the best privacy. The rest was fine. Hotel breakfast is ok but better book through their website otherwise you pay 15e per person and wouldn't say it's worth it.
