We briefly stayed at Binders during our tour of Austria - we arrived very late after driving through the Alps and the reception staff were very helpful. Our check in rep was very sweet and made sure we tried the water (apparently water is potable all across Austria! After we spent a whole lot of money buying bottled water) The reality of the hotel is not what appears in the booking pictures. It is a quaint motel - outdated decor and kinda smelled musty. Very narrow hallways - perhaps a modified apartment building? The room was VERY small and VERY VERY dimly lit - 2 small halogen lights over the headboard. Beds were very small, perhaps child size twin. We could barely see though and had to leave the washroom light on. It was very stuffy with bad air circulation and somewhat aggravated our allergies. There was a safe and a closet, but it was located in a weird place where it would block off the bed/small desk. Interestingly, the washroom was bright and modern and pretty big in comparison to the room. I had issues with the slow water pressure and it took forever to take a decent shower after a long day on the road. The room was functional for a brief stay - I think I would get frustrated if I had to stay any longer. The staff were so kind though that it made up for it.
This was probably the most expensive hotel I've ever stayed in, but by far the poorest quality. Innsbruck is an expensive city and we stayed on New Year's Eve. Binder's is located in the dodgiest part of town and it's a horrible, iffy 20 minute walk to all the sites. It's supposed to be a 4 star hotel with 4 star prices but with a hostel atmosphere and quality. SPEND YOUR MONEY ON A HOTEL IN SEEFELD AND VISIT INNSBRUCK ON A DAY TRIP
Close to the footbal stadium and ice rink. 15 min walk to the city centre. Clean rooms. Great breakfast buffet with freshly squezed orange juice, perfect espresso , and good food selection. Lacking a restaurant otherwise good value for money
Surprised seeing 4*: parking in the street, paid wifi, poorly equipped rooms, ugly downstairs bar. First time in my life I have seen receptionist following the 4 of us, once we came back from the dinner, checking which room we enter- is it so unusual that 4 people family pay for 4 beds in the room? Bathroom was okey, we did not check breakfast (paid extra).
If you are looking for a decent price for Innsbruck standards, Arthotel Binders is a solution. It's 20' on foot from the central station in a quiet area. The room we got (302) was recently renovated, looked modern, was very warm and clean, and had a small balcony with nice view over the mountains. The bathroom door slides across the room and doesn't give the best privacy. The rest was fine. Hotel breakfast is ok but better book through their website otherwise you pay 15e per person and wouldn't say it's worth it.
Friendly staff and overall nice place, quite good public transport nearby. Location is bit far from center, but that's why also silent surroundings. Bed was awfully soft with half plastic sheet. Free Wi-Fi in rooms would be nice improvement..
We stopped at the Arthotel Binders twice on our journey to Tuscany and back. Although there had been a mishap with our booking (the other people in our party had cancelled and accidentally cancelled our reservation too. In no way was this a fault of the hotel) we were offered a room in which to stay the night. We got breakfast and WiFi included with this booking too. The room was clean comfortable and spacious enough for our stay and afforded great views of the surrounding mountains. Although while we were there there was some construction work going on behind the hotel with the window closed we heard nothing. Breakfast is a good offering, buffet style with the usual continental dishes and some scrambled egg, bacon, sausage and baked beans too, Oh and freshly squeezed orange juice (juicing machine in which you feed in fresh oranges) For the stay on our return trip we booked through a booking site, therefore we didn't get the free WiFi in the room, although it is available in the bar area. also breakfast wasn't included but we were leaving early anyway so not an issue. upon check in we were slightly concerned as the receptionist mentioned a couple of times about it being a SMALL BUDGET room, We needn't have worried. The room was still a decent size, Plenty big enough for two adults, although only a queen size bed. It had a reasonable sized bathroom, was nicely decorated and furnished and being situated on the third floor corner (Room 308) had Two Windows with great views of the mountains. Perfect for unwinding after hours of travelling. all in all a great hotel with excellent service and friendly staff.
We had a very comfortable stays at this budget hotel. The only negative was paid in-room WiFi which could have easily been included in the hotel booking rate. The hotel staff was cooperative and the room was nice.
A comfortable room, no aircon so we had to have the window open, traffic noise could be a problem at times. Good bathroom. We ate out so didn't use the restaurant. Breakfast was excellent Parking, we didn't book ahead for secure parking but we were able to park across the road from the hotel.
Compact and bijou ...the room. Basic, not much space, but adequate - with a VERY trendy shower room which outshines it! No aircon was a shame, but there you go. The plus side? The shower is excellent and the bed comfortable - plus it wasn't noisy. In addition, the public areas were good. Nice friendly, cosy bar restaurant (simple pizza menu available) and pleasant outdoor seating area. The breakfast was the shining star of the stay. Plentiful, with fresh squeezed orange juice, slice-your-own hams, fresh bread and pastries, hot food. All freshly prepared and served in the comfortable and large dining area. PLUS we had secured parking for the 3 motorbikes. The staff were very helpful, printing off maps and giving us directions. We went exploring and the town is lovely. Seemed to be a lot of younger, foreign travellers, probably attracted by the price. Recommended for one or two nights!
