Nice hotel ,very well located .Great ,professionnel and efficient staff that will resolve quickly any issues you may have.Confortable bed ,great bathroom but poor quality towels and minimal supply for a 4 Stars Hotel.Lobby was not available for client enjoyment( commercial activity occupying the space!).
This is a nice hotel located in the center of Tours. There are many restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Rooms are tidy and well kept, I liked the style of the room as well. This is an old hotel but it seems like most of the rooms are renovated. I would stay here again as the location is perfect.
Stayed for three nights as a base to visit the Loire Valley. The room we had (an Executive Double) was quiet and comfortable. However a few annoyances. We had booked parking but on arrival were told that we had no booking so the first night we had to park at an external garage. And when trying to enter the garage on the second day it seemed that still no one could find the booking. We were finally let in with an apology that the girl had not logged the reservation from the day before. The hotel has no minibar which for a hotel such as this is unusual to say the least. One evening we decided to have a drink in the bar. We went in and sat down however there was no barman to be found. After waiting for about 5 minutes I went to reception to ask if we could get a drink. Was told that she would get the barman straight away. After a 10 minute wait still no sign of the barman so it was either serve ourselves or go elsewhere. Of course we went elsewhere. But please don't offer a service you can't provide! Bathrobes ... both in our room would have been lucky to fit someone who is a size 4. Get some common sense and know that the average sized person wants a bathrobe that would more than meet at the edges. Then to my pet hate. Why why why in this day and age do hotels persist in having hairdryers that are attached to the wall by a spiral cord particularly those that require you to hold your finger on the button to keep the thing going!! Really, what is your clientele here? Do they actually visit to steal the hairdryer?? It is a shame that the little things let down what is a relatively quiet and comfortable hotel.
The hotel is nice, if not a little outdated. When I visited they were doing work so maybe they are giving the hotel a bit of a refresh. The rooms were clean and quiet and our room had a nice, large bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helped us when we asked questions about the town. The hotel is in a great location, close to many restaurants. The only downside is parking. I had called to make a reservation for parking and then they did not have it written down so I had to find parking on the street. I got lucky and got a spot right in front of the hotel but it was a bit of a debacle.
Lovely hotel, great portrait gallery in foyer. Location excellent. Nice, quiet room. Restaurant not open on weekends except for breakfast and bar also closed Sunday. Hard to find dinner options in Tours on weekend.
The hotel was perfect for us – situated in the city of Tours, it served as the ideal base for us to explore the surrounding area. The hotel rooms are very modern – not something we expected given the décor of the rest of the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Handy tip – make sure that you book your car parking at the hotel ahead of your stay. The hotel car park is small and gets full quickly. The other option is the car park at the train station which is underground – we parked there on the one night – appeared safe enough. Recommend this hotel.
We stayed here for 2 nights. It is located within walking distance to many sights. They offered a nice breakfast buffet. Nice size rooms with comfortable clean beds. Modern bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay here! Will go back.
The hotel is situated opposite the impressive Hotel de Ville. Gorgeous lounge area with a sweeping staircase and murals of famous guests who have stayed there.Bedrooms were of a good size, Sip a glass of the Loire region wine and people watch. We booked a superior room, with tea/coffee maker and lots of wardrobe space. At breakfast there was a good choice. There is also a swimming pool/spa. We only stayed for 1 night but will definitely visit Tours again and definitely stay at this hotel.
We very must enjoyed our stay at the Oceania here in Tours. Decent size rooms with comfy beds and a restaurant that serves tasty desserts. Walk out he front door and you can immediately access restaurants and shopping on the square. The hotels also boosts an amazing indoor pool and hot tub. Service was also attentive and friendly. Good choice for Tours, although I am not sure about parking as we came by bus.
Stayed for 2 nights. Hotel has a great location in town and you are within walking distance of most of the sights. We parked our car in the underground hotel car park Cost of 15euros per night. But we felt it worth it in order not to unpack all our belongings. Check in was fine and we found the staff to be polite and friendly. The inside of the hotel is very impressive. Our room was excellent with tea and coffee facilities. We had an executive room. Only downside were the pillows but that may be just preference. Eat in the hotel one evening. We found the food to be good but pricey, also the wind. We eat out our first night and preferred that meal. Not much atmosphere in hotel restaurant. Breakfast was just the normal and we didn't think it was worth 15euros each. Also we have a small dog and was charged 20 euros per night, most expensive we have ever paid. Would we stay again yes definitely for location and room, but for meals and the add ons, probably not, although you always pay a premium for town hotels we know.
