best part of the hotel was the staff. all were polite, knowledgeable, and helpful in every way possible. i want to single out Xavier; he was our favorite staff person. you have a great employee and should recognize his contribution to the success of your hotel. breakfasts were good; the room was always clean.
This hotel was comfortable enough for us, but I'm not sure that I would stay there again. They miss the mark on attention to detail and service. We were traveling a long distance and we were hoping to check in a bit early but we weren't able to do that. I think it's little accommodations of service that go a long way and they just weren't budging on their check-in rules of 3pm only. In the US, hotels go out of their way to accommodate their guests. They are polite but don't have a great attitude of service there.
Nice, clean spacious rooms, great location. Right next to the station and also a short walk from the historical part of town. We stayed in this hotel and then did daily driving trips to close by chateaus and vineyards.
Manageable location, nice breakfast, comfortable room. Excellent value.
Great location. Close to train station. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby
We statyed just one night in Tours. It's a perfect stop if you're going to drive around the Loire Valley. The hotel is convientely located near the train station and jsut a walking distance from the old town center. There're plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
awesome experience, lots to see and do. Friendly, helpful staff
great hotel, friendly, helpful staff, especially Alex, convinient location. Will stay again
* The staff was very nice to us and very helpful. Being an American traveling in the middle of France this is important in getting oriented. * This is an old hotel, and in some ways it shows. Some people like that and some don't. I happen to like that. They do seem to maintain the place pretty well. * Conveniently located around 1 block from the train station and it is also very close to the tourism office. * You will get a kick out of the lobby. There is a big mural painting of former guests including Ernest Hemmingway, Kate Hepburn and Edith Piaf. * Be prepared for a city tax on checkout. It is really not that much (just a few euros a night) but it is not covered in the web price. * This place is a really good option if it is your first time here in this city (which is really beautiful I must say, we liked it better than Paris).
