La Quinta Inn & Suites Indianapolis Downtown

This was our first visit to this particular La Quinta hotel. It is a very convenient location, just a short walk away, from Banker's Life Fieldhouse. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation, so it is a little "torn up" outside. The parking garage is cramped and scarce. However, there is overflow parking in a tended lot next to the hotel. The lobby is clean, with free coffee and water, and a free hot breakfast buffet in the morning. Our room was small but clean with a microwave, refrigerator, TV, and two comfortable double beds. The only "negative" was the single elevator that could barely fit 2 people and their small carry-on suitcases. This elevator was functional, yet very small and cramped. What really stands out with this hotel is the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and they went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one.

Below expectations. Looks gloomy, elevator in repair, stairs look scary.

Great hotel. It is undergoing renovations but other than that, everything was perfect

Stayed here during a work conference. The staff was professional and helpful. The room was pretty clean, though I requested the sheets be changed because they were either stained or dirty - didn't have a problem after that. Colleagues commented that loud street noise outside disturbed their sleep. The primary reasons we stayed here were the affordable price, the free breakfast, and the free parking. The breakfast was decent, though we would have liked to have fruit available every morning (was only there some days). As for parking, we only found a parking spot in the La Quinta lot one time - the other days we had to pay for a meter (there are plenty close by, and most only require payment from 7am to 6pm). We did venture to the parking lot underneath which appeared to be for La Quinta guests, but it was terribly run down, isolated, and poorly lit; we quickly decided not to park there due to various security concerns. Overall, this met our needs, but in the future I would pay the extra money to stay somewhere else, especially since our conference was held closer to downtown. Also, it might have been fine for just me or for personal travel, but as it was for a group of professional colleagues, a closer location and higher quality facility would have been more appropriate.

Amazing time and trip. Hotel was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!++!!!+!!!!!!!

Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed at the front desk. The check in process was quick and easy. The room was clean and all of the appliances worked. A hot breakfast was provided. The staff did a good job of keeping everything stocked and clean.

The hotel was within easy walking distance to the downtown attractions and white river park. Free in/out parking and free breakfast in the mornings increased the value of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Indy.

Fairly close to most of downtown. Little far to walk to the downtown mall. Old building. But maintained fairly well. Hot breakfast, but was the same food everyday. Wifi was very intermittent on the third floor where I stayed.

was nice rooms were clean people worked there very helpful

The staff was wonderful! Great recommendations for food and taxi. The bed was really comfortable. Parking was a little difficult there aren't a lot of spaces.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, good prices. I will book this hotel again.

Pay more and stay elsewhere ... This place is OLD and it looks it

The hotel put a $250 cleaning charge on our credit card, that supposedly happened just after a peaceful 5 night family stay. This has never happened to me in 25 years of hotel stays around the world. No photos, no calls, no discussion, just the charge on our bill. I can't say strongly enough how likely you are to be ripped off if you stay here under the current management. If the staff had been honest, it would have been a decent value hotel. It is not fancy.

Was traveling to Indiana on business and stayed at the La Quinta since the rate was low and the location was convenient to the courthouse where I was doing some work. I wasn't expecting much (since all of the hotels of this type are pretty much the same) but this one was a little bit below average. The place just felt a little dingy. Food that was supposed to be hot at breakfast wasn't. The elevator was so tiny I can't imagine what it was like when checkout time hit and everyone was trying to leave with luggage (I left early). Staff was friendly enough, but I could have done without the "how is everything in your room?" call 20 minutes after I went upstairs, especially since I specifically said I was going to lie down before dinner.

This is a basic hotel. The room was clean, but with a slightly odd smell. The staff was pleasant, and the neighborhood seemed safe enough. A decent family place within walking distance of everything downtown, but not as nice as other downtown hotels.

Great location for sports venues, You can walk to everything or take a $5 cab ride anywhere downtown. The hotel was exactly what I expected, we didn't need any amenities due to our busy weekend schedule.

We stayed one night while we attended a concert. The location could not have been better - we were able to walk to and home from the event quickly. When I arrived, I was told my reservation had been cancelled, but was also immediately told it was okay and they would take care of me. They actually had my room keys and printout confirmation on the counter though, so that confused me, but it was not a big deal. There also was a little confusion over my room being pre-paid, but the staff was very friendly, and I was on my way with my room keys quickly. I had reserved 3 people for a room with 2 doubles, but one of our travelers could not attend. The room upon entry was actually one king bed, but I did not request a change because it accomodated our actual party size. Even though, our window faced the inside of the building, the outdoor traffic and even a train were loud overnight and did wake us both up. Mattress quality and accomodations were all comfrotable. The breakfast was a good value for being included, but not the best I have ever had. I would definitely stay here again for the purposes we traveled.

Business trip. Needed to be near downtown. This was a cost competitive alternative. It was adequate.

The bed was not comfy but everything else was good. Nice room, clean, sink outside of bathroom. Good breakfast and location, free parking. A better mattress would make it almost perfect!

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel. Since my last stay they have fixed some things up that were looking a little worn. It is the most reasonably priced place that is in walking distance to downtown and this is a nice town to walk around in.
