We had to get help getting into our room open on several occasions as did our next door neighbor. Apparently the trick is to hold the handle up , while you hope the lock unlatches so that you can get into your room. The windows were dirty and you can tell whomever does the maintenance does not take pride in their work. The breakfast is advertised to begin at 6:00AM . At 6:20AM we needed to get on the road, no breakfast. The only item was a dirty wash rag on the table. Another review commented that this is an Econo Lodge and not an upscale hotel. I totally understand that. In the case of this property the management does not seem to care about instilling a pride in the place. Guess when the main sign advertises Now Hiring - beware.
We stayed one night on our way home from a Myrtle Beach vacation. It suited our needs for a few hours of sleep. It's directly off I-65 (exit 140), even though Google Maps had us exit on the wrong exit and took us on a route through the Lebanon Business Park. Check-in was quick. Our room was clean. The continental breakfast is weak. There are a couple of restaurants directly across the road from the hotel. If you are pulling a trailer there is ample room for parking at the back of the hotel.
Only a handful of parking spaces are near one of the two entrances to the building. The staircases at either end of the long hallway down the center of this building appear, when walking through the door, to be a ladder with carpeted rungs. (I was wrong about that. As I approached the stairs, railings appeared. See my photo.) Check-in was slow, because a new woman was being trained in by a rude woman who expected her to know everything, so wasn't giving her any helpful clues while people waited in line. This is not how I would want my employees trained. The room was average. The bed was harder than my body rests well on. This was not a good night.
This is an Econo Lodge, not a Hilton. My husband and I needed a place to stay late at night on our way back to IL and the Holiday Inn Express was full. So we tried this Econo Lodge. Our expectations were realistic and we were pleasantly surprised with this budget hotel. The manager was friendly, professional, and booked our room quickly. Our room was clean & quiet and had a fridge, microwave, and flat screen tv. It appears the bathroom was recently remodeled/updated with neutral decor. If you're looking for dreamy, pillow top mattresses and marble tiled bathrooms, keep driving. But if you're cool with a basic, firm mattress in a clean, quiet room to rest your head, this Econo Lodge fits the bill just fine.
Stopped on our way to Chicago for a place to lay our heads. The price was right and the room was clean enough with no signs of bed bugs. Only complaint was that one of the two beds in the room were a little dusty suggesting that the bed hadn't been used or changed in a while and the other bed had a duvet cover that could use a wash. Free breakfast was a very basic continental but okay for the price. If you just need a budget, roadside hotel then you'd do well here. If you're super picky then I would chose another spot. Travel tip: It's just under 2 hours to Chicago from this hotel by car.
We were headed to Ohio from Kansas City and thought we could make it all the way, however we got a late start so at Midnight we decided to find a place to stop. The Econolodge was almost right off the highway. I walked inside and the lobby was nicely maintained so we decided to stay. The lady at the front desk was very nice and booked us a room. The room was clean and had no unpleasant odors. The bed was a little more firm than we like but for a place to sleep it did the job.
We booked this enroute via phone Internet. It appears to be new and very clean. Checking was fast and easy and staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again if passing through. Great in that all doors are from an inside hallway. Only negative was the blanket on the bed had a bad tear along the side. Bed was very comfortable and loved having a sofa in our king room. Plus all rooms non-smoking which wax a real plus.
We usually skip this motel chain while traveling because of past experiences. We chose this motel by the reviews and we were not disappointed. The first thing you see is how clean the property is and the then lobby which was beautiful. Then we were greeted by a VERY friendly manager. Quick and easy check in. The room was also VERY CLEAN with a comfortable bed. The price was so reasonable and we will definitely stay here again! I love when management is proud of their property and it shows thru their hard work-beautiful!
I stayed at Econo Lodge from 12-2-2016 thru 12-4-2016. Location was close to I65 and 30 minutes from Indianapolis. I thought the room was nice with a mini refrigerator and microwave in it. It also had a flat screen TV. The bed was comfortable and thought the place was quiet for my stay. They had a breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30 which I did not make it down for so can not comment on it. The question I alays ask myself is would I stay here again? My answer is yes. I take with manager a couple times and he was a very nice gentleman. Give it a try!
We just needed a quick stay as we continued our travels. This fit the bill. Reasonably prices and the room was clean and basic comfortable. We had trouble getting our key to work in the door and the desk clerk was more than happy to help us with this task. Looked like they were installing new carpet in some parts of the hallway. Walking distance to Subway and Taco Bell. We did not stay for breakfast so cannot comment on that service.
