Hotel is in a best location , rooms are clean and cosy , breakfast is tasty , and good deal for money ! Receptionists are very nice , they try to help you with everything! Wifi is good , i didn't have any problem 👌🏼
We chose this because we needed to bus to Mont St Michel early the next morning and didn't want to rush. Room: large, good beds and kettle with coffee, tea and milk satchets.. just what i wanted. Toilet was clean but shower needs a tray and curtains. Water splashed all over the toilet when taking a shower. Breakfast: substantial and good value. Freshly squeezed orange juice!
The Campanile Rennes Centre is conveniently located 200 meters from the Rennes train station. As such, there is quick access to regional rail service, local tours, rental cars, and other services for travelers. Also convenient to the hotel are two public parking garages where a vehicle can be left overnight. The old city is a 15 minute walk. There were several decent eating establishments in the area. The breakfast was fairly simple, and was a reasonable value given the local prices. Upon arrival at the Hotel, we were provided with a small, but nicely decorated room with reasonably comfortable bed. Housekeeping standards for the hotel were very good. The complimentary WiFi was strong and reliable. A television was provided, but there were no English speaking channels [none were advertised by the hotel.]
We stayed here for couple nights for business. All of us have problem with the ultra slow Internet. No matter where you are in the hotel, the Internet is slow. It is so slow that the web pages wouldn't completely loaded. WHY??? The hotel itself is great. Room is clean. Bedding is comfy. Breakfast is good. Lobby is trendy. But the slow Internet prevents me from recommending this hotel.
The hotel was well located for the SNCF Railway Station and just a 5-10 minute walk to the main attractions, shops and restaurants Rennes has to offer. My room was quiet and quite comfortable. Howeve,r It was on the ground floor and had no view at all. Also, although my room was well heated the corridor outside was freezing. I like to practice my limited French with the staff. However, when I ran into difficulties shortly after arrival I found the reception staff had no English at all and spoke French too fast for me. When I approached the receptionist she was on the phone and ignored me until finishing her call. My difficulty was I could not get the lights in my room to stay on! It transpired when I managed to get the staff to come with me to my room she showed me that the door key that one tags to unlock the room then has to be put in a receptical just inside the door to make the lights work. I have not come across this arrangement to be able to operated the bedroom lights before. It would have been helpful if guests could be given this information in writing in their own language when they check in. My room had tea/coffee making and free wi-fi. The optional buffet breakfast was adequate and good value
Well located when arriving by train, surprisingly quiet, very clean, that was a convenient stay. Breakfast was Ok but not great. Was easy to go from there to the car renting location...please note that downtown Rennes and the Rennes train station are in complete rebuilding, and bringing back the rented car was really difficult and would have been impossible without the GPS in my i-phone...
My husband and I stayed one day one night here as an in between for our visit to Mont St Michel. It was a great location just across from the train station. Very friendly staff and our room was ready when we got there at 1pm and I thought for sure we'd have to wait for the 4pm check in time. Comfortable bed, nice amenities and lots of plugs! Would stay again.
Clean. Newly renovated room. Nice comfortable bed. Kettle provided. Wifi was working well. In the shower, the body wash/shampoo was all in one. No conditioner provided. Our room had no bathtub, just a shower. 1min away from the train and bus station. There's a small convenient store just beside. We heard music through the closed window in the afternoon, although it didn't bother us. The breakfast area was fancy looking and there was a rather wide range of food (continental). A little bit overpriced, maybe. We arrived at 10:00am and they let us check-in early which we greatly appreciated. Check out was at noon. The staff was polite and professional.
I came in this hotel last week for one night with one of my friends.. We choose this one because it's so close to the station where we've taken the bus for Mont Saint Michel! The room on the second floor was very confortable and the staff was very nice! The wifi service was good and there is the possibility to leave in the hotel the luggage after the check out: even if it is paid!
Stayed here for 2 nights with my teenage daughter. Feels like recently renovated with new carpets and paintwork. Very minimalist rooms. Bathroom set up as a wet room. Tea and coffee provided but only 2 disposable cups. So quiet at night. Air conditioning great.
