We were able to visit the hotel (my husband and me ) with couple of friends mid August . We arrived at 22 :30 and left early , the receptionist was welcoming. the room was clean , comfortable bed and pillows.toilet amenities, quiet hotel . The only inconvenience was that we had to pull our bagages on the stairs . Would recommend it
The room was fine, the front desk folks charming, BUT no airport shuttle and no reasonable taxi service nor buses to/from this property and the Rennes airport: if you don't have a car, do NOT book here.
I stayed there one night in anticipation for an early flight out of Rennes Airport. If you have a rental car and are not from Europe, be warned that the gas stations in Rennes do not accept international credit card (that require signature instead of pin), debit card, or cash -- they are not staffed by humans. So, I was unable to fill the rental car up with gas! I just took it to the airport without the gas filled back up. The hotel has a restaurant. The room was comfortable and quiet. I couldn't find an elevator to get to 2nd floor with my large bag. No worries, my arms got some good exercise.
Stayed here one night. Not too far from the airport, about a $18 cab ride. Very quiet hotel. Not much around it, but the McDonald's is open late. Room was comfortable; very typical to most Best Western's I've stayed in back in the States.
We arrived by bicycle and requested an early check-in due to rain in the area. Our check-in was moved forward and our bicycles garaged. Our room was neat, clean and air conditioned. The dining room was closed over the weekend and the bar was not patronised that we noticed. The restaurant across the road proved to be a good substitute with an extensive menu and good wines. The staff at this establishment proved to be very pleasant and helpful, and one wishes that our stay could have been during the business week when the place really humms.
What a nice surprise in this out of town location. A nice airy reception area and very helpful staff. The rooms are on two floors and are very nicely appointed in both decor and layout. And have A/C, the only down side to this visit is the fact that the restaurant was closed so the restaurant across the road did a nice trade.
Not far from st malo so great as a last night stop in france. This hotel has great family sized rooms and lovely little swimming pool. Decor could be updated but a good nights sleep with comfortable massive beds and to top it off a fantastic Italian restaurant just across the road too!
This was one of the strangest places I've stayed at when working... I saw the outside in the half dark and my face fell but the service was impeccable (very young looking front desk but very efficient and very friendly), the layout was beyond strange but by no means offensive and the rooms were spacious and pleasantly (if again not slightly strangely) decorated. The beds were so comfortable my colleague slept in and we almost missed our flights! The best is yet to come! I've eaten in more restaurants than one person ever should and I have to say, this slightly odd hotel has the best food I have EVER eaten! Course after amazing course we stuffed ourselves beyond what we should have done. Again, the staff were friendly and helpful, the chef even came out to talk to us after we sent out thanks for an incredible meal. I would, without a doubt, not only go back but would recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in the area.
Spent a whole day there working! Had great service and a warm welcome. Both the restaurant and hotel staff were super nice and very helpful, and had friendly conversations. Hotel is very clean, confortable, good breakfast with specialty local cakes, nice little swimming pool. Only sad thing is that the gym was not open for guests as advertised.
Over the past 5 years we have used this hotel for when ever I'm flying out of Rennes. The hotel is clean and the people are nice. However, you must be aware that the dinning room is not open every night so you may have to go over to the local McDonald's (across the parking lot). You should also be aware that since the hotel does not have a shuttle to the airport - YOU MUST CALL FOR A CAB. Since the taxi cab people know this, they will not send a cab form the airport which is right down the road and would only cost you a few Euros for the ride. The cab company have a driver come out from Rennes (the city) to pick you up and you end up paying 30 euros for a 5 euro ride. When I last stayed at this hotel and I had a cab take me to the airport - when I got to the airport there were 4 cabs sitting outside and the drivers were siting inside the airport at the coffee shop. This hotel needs to change their business model (get a van for service to the airport) and start to care about their customers.
