Although I am not an "all inclusive" person I really enjoyed my stay!! I visited this place with my boyfriend, just the two of us, and we had great fun especially in the new AQUA PARK!! The food/drinks were great and plenty all day, the hotel is surrounded by a forest and the sea is just in front of it with a great and long beach, the swimming pools never get very crowded, you can enjoy a swin, run, go cycling, walk, go horse riding and so much more. I will definitely visit again!!
The best choice for all inclusive vacations.only 4 hours from Athens and you are in paradise!! The beach is excellent for toddlers and children. There were a lot of activities for children, our favorite was "baby disco"!!!!! With positive attitude you overcome the busy hours in lunch and dinner! But there is a lot of space and it is not very visible how crowded the place is. Very nice choice for family vacations but not for more than 5 days!! You feel like you are in a paradise prison!! Especially if your child doesn't want to go anywhere else outside the resort!!!
if you like family holidays all inclusive style or you want to try them then go for it the rooms at iIia Palms are spacious clean comfortable fully renovated the bathrooms big with bathtub some details need improvement but generally very satisfying. you walk about ten minutes through a pine wood to oasis and then another ten minutes and many stairs to the pool and the beach. for me walking was very pleasant but i understand that people with babies and young children may not. the food is ok endless variety but the quality needs improvement especially for the price you pay. cons definitely cleaning in the public areas especially around ice cream and crepe area and generally the bars walking through litter in a 5 star hotel this is unacceptable very odd odour in a certain spot at the same area as rotten food... waiters in the resaturant need training they leave plates pilling up at the tables unless a supervisor appears or you specifically ask them to remove them generally the staff needs training they look like the suffer wortking there i understand that especially during High season they may be very tired but they should not show this so much, you almost feel bad for being there they should maybe think that if you werent there they would have a work at all only one stand for the crepe so if you want one you have to stand at the queue for about 20 mintues, hello put two or three stands again unacceptable for 5 star but i dont want to be misunderstood besides these areas which definitely need improcement (along with the situation at the pool area where you never can find a free place the whole experience is very nice the beach is huge, and most important is the best place for relaxing you dont have to warry for anything you dont have to drive a Car you dont have to warry about food where to eat etc and they had a very nice entairtenment Programme. you can walk do sport and even fitness classes if you feel like it i would definitely go back again for a few days of perfect relaxing
I stayed at your hotel Olympia Oasis at Kyllini 17/08-21/08/16. we booked 2 rooms 235/day. I was great disappointed with your services and I request to check out immediately. 1) No umbrellas and chairs at swimming pool and beach (always occupied with no any control by Hotel Staff). 2) The air condition at the room smell very bad and not clean ( photos available upon request) My wife get ill for 2 days and the babies couldn't sleep. 3) The restaurants were full booked during all of our stay ....we have to book for dinner after our departure. 4) They told us lies that they will change us rooms. 5) Poor quality of room service 6)In order to take fredo coffee you have to run 2 floors if you where lucky and to be opened. 7) At dinner time you have to wait on a row on about 25 minutes for a table. Your staff keep me 1 night fees (235 euro) due to the worst service offered. Thank for destroying my vacations.
Ilia Palms is just the building with rooms which belongs to Olympia Oasis hotel. The best part of this location is definitely the beach which is few kilometers long and offers stunning views. For those who do not like walk too much Ilia Palms rooms are not the best option as you need around 10 minutes to reach the main building. Olympia itself is very nice hotel with a lot of steps therefore I am not sure if this is good for kids, although we saw many families there and they somehow managed to move around the facility. Room at Ilia Palms were renewed and look fine, although it feels inside the lobby, elevators and the corridors that this building is not the newest one. Still it is cheaper that Olympia therefore honestly I cannot complain for anything here. I recommend to rent a bicycle and sightsee the neighborhood, especially Kastro. Water temperature in September is absolutely perfect!
its a terrible place. Rooms are very bad and it's a on old hotel. Lots of Russian clients. For breakfast lunch and dinner you need to go to the all inclusive hotel. Also the all inclusive is very limited. Not a good all inclusive concept. The Thalasso is much better. The beach is great there.
We stayed there during our last vacation, on late-August. All of the facilities actually exist and you may use them, but there are located around 500 m away, on the other property which is located on the same site. The whole area is deep in the woods, making it a nice surrounding area. Price is much cheaper if you stay here, compared to the other 2 properties that are located on the same site. The difference of price certainly worths its 500 m you have to walk. Besides there is a mini-bus that may transfer you, twice a day on breakfast and dinner time. Perfect for families with infants, children, teenagers!!
We stayed in Ilia Palms for a second time 10 days on July 2014 (first was on 2012). What is not Ilia Palms. Ilia Palms is not a super modern (despite it's classic looks) bulding. Ilia Palms is not a recently renovated inside either. It's descent with minor liftups in the bathrooms and the lighting but it shows age (this carpet on the floor is iconic :) ). Ilia Palms despite it's a part of a all inclusive package it provides minor snacks in the morning and water. Nothing else. This is not a drawback, I just mention it. Enough with the NOTs, all rooms are cleaned everyday and since been a frequent traveler I can tell you the cleaning personnel does a good job. It has a fantastic north/south orientation that sun doesn't burn the rooms since South/west orientation is wall and not balconies. It's all inclusive package is served through OASIS hotel facilities and I must admit in an exclamation degree. Despite the 5-10 minutes walk to OASIS it's the most enjoyable, value for money and good quality vacations a middle class family can spent. Food is excellent, tremendous options to choose from food and fruits, very well cooked (if not my weak stomach would complaint asap). Whatever you crave is there, I mean it, I've seen people taking pics of the buffets, they were enormous. Bar in the beach forefront (on the sand), bar in the pools area, lounge bar, serve all days from coffees to beverages of all kinds, it's like you can drink as you can stand for, pity I drink mostly coffees :) The beach is sandy, smooth for the kids, fantastic. It was so clear that it had fishes when not crowded. I even managed to take a pic of one of them. In fact I was not after it, I just took a test photo of the sea. You can realize that were this fish was the water was shallow. Pools area as well kids prime time, it was totally enjoyable. They were activities all day for various age groups and at nights shows in a small theater, kids loved the clown night. It's a real jewel for Greek tourist industry, a really stupendous tourist machine! I would like to mention the personnel, the barmen, the waiters, the back office people, I really don't know how they do it, no matter how much you paid (or not sometimes :) ) It's not that easy to be so polite and helpful as all of them. I called them heroes with a smile, I really felt obliged to write this review not for the facilities but for the People of Grecotel Ilia Palms and Oasis who were really astonishgfully polite and helping. I hope we spent our next summer too in the Ilia Palms/Grecotel facility in Ilia, all of us four do :-)
Ilia Palms is one of the three bedding buildings contained in the "Grecotel Riviera resort", the others being "Mandola Rosa" (expensive) and "Oasis" (mid-priced. Each building is a hotel in its own right -- but for the family on holiday, the experience lies within the all inclusive package: kid-activities, drinks-packed, food-overflowing... All the action is centred around the Oasis building, the pools, restaurants, and bars and the sea below it; so this brief description is more about the resort than the building itself -- which, in and of itself is decent, the rooms comfortable if on the smallish side, and the linen beyond reproach; rooms also offer a decent balcony and the welcome sight of fresh water bottles in the fridge, filled daily. Having been to upmarket resorts, I had been used to an attitude of "this is how things are done here". At this resort, you are treated to a refreshing "this is what we can offer, please make yourselves comfortable". This is the first happy moment. Not having to seriously think about anything, is the other. There are 4 pools (all but one for children) and the sea at your swimming disposal; water bikes, water slides, diving, sailing & surfing equipment (some of these are charged extra), ping-pong, dancing lessons, a "theatre", bicycles, and sundry, for additional action. There is also a blessed pool bar where parents can relax drinking a coffee under the shade and discuss (rather than do) diving, swimming, etc with other similarly disposed and weary parents... You also get two theme "restaurants", both part of the package one Asian, the other being a Greek Taverna, where the food is served at table -- rather than self-served which applies to the rest of the culinary experience. The culinary aspect is indeed an experience. Read on. The food and drinks situation is nothing short of lavish -- in fact, one can start eating and drinking at 7:30 am and continue all day with short breaks, up until and including an after midnight snack... Grecotel takes its guests' well-being seriously and the "all inclusive" motto to an extreme! While menu will not set the world on fire, it is right in not doing so: having to cater to a diverse clientèle of children & adults from a variety of backgrounds and provenance, smooth and decent trumps culinary experimentation. The choice is such that every one can find their own. This is a large complex, purportedly containing 2,500 souls when we were there (mid July) - yet we never felt overwhelmed or over-crowded. The staff was friendly and eager to please and, given the size of the place, acquits itself very well. There are quirks the importance of which are a matter of opinion: internet connectivity is limited and centred around the lobby of the central building (i.e. "Oasis"). It is unclear why this is so; however, it kept my son away from his tablet which is God sent. Some people seem to find this irksome -- I welcomed the opportunity to break away. The other is the race for the chaise-longue: guests are wont to head down before breakfast to place their (resort supplied) towel and "reserve" the beach / pool chaises for the day. This says more about the guests than the resort, so the motto here is, "the early bather gets the seat". All in all, an extremely pleasant, memorable experience. You may wish to avoid the full season days for added quiet.
We booked this hotel because no room was available in the complex and after consulting the internet site of Grecotel. It was advertised as a renewed Hotel with modern equipment and a summer touch. When we arrived we saw an old Hotel building, the rooms seemed to be forgotten somewhere between the 80's-90's. The furniture was old with different markings. We left the hotel immdiately. The Olympia Riviera is an amazing complex, but this hotel is a shame for this complex. At least the Guy at the reception was very polite.
