Hotel in very good location if you want to be in town. Room was huge as was bathroom. Hotel is old and somewhat run down but room was clean.
I highly recomend this hotel.It's Clean rooms,awesome service,and clean location .
It is not a luxurious but a decent hotel. The location is great. Will recommend to other future guests.
If you like lots of bread for breakfast, this is the hotel for you. The pool is a nice place to cool off and relax a bit. The food is average at most, but the rooms are quite comfortable and the staff very helpful.
Staff were friendly an the rooms big. Some things like curtains need an upgrade but in general a good place to stay.
Very spacious and clean room. Very good breakfast buffet. Convenient location. Perfect hotel staff. Good restaurant Agva across the street.
This was much better than I had expected. There were poor reviews on the breakfast, but it was just fine. The rooms are spacious, separate tub and shower in the bathroom, and the location was fabulous with the bus station so close. Great staff.
Overall I was satisfied. I was in a standard room and could not upgrade. The room was good size. The air conditioner was very old and did no work well. I had to call in two different ocassions to have it working. It was difficult to open the sliding doors in the closet. The breakfast ( included in the charges) was very good. I had dinner in the restaurant once. The buffet dinner was excellent and the price very reasonable compared to other two recoommended restaurants in Puerto Iguazu. I understand that the new rooms are better and I would recommend the hotel if the stay is in the new rooms.
It was OK, the room and service were adequate, but not as nice as expected. The breakfast, although abundant was tasteless, and they don't budge from their 10am checkout policy without an extra charge. The best thing about the hotel is its location just across the street from a taxi stand with posted prices and the main bus station from where all tours begin. Instead of going down main street for restaurants - try walking down the side street next to the bus station into more local areas. We really enjoyed the food, music, and eclectic ambiance at Terra Wok & Grill about 2-3 blocks down. Also the closest ATM machine is another block further on the right - Microbank(?). While all the ATM's let you withdraw only 1,000 pesos (~$200 USD) at a time, if your bank allows more, select "another transaction" before retrieving your card and you can continue to withdraw in 1,000 increments to your limit,. Of course, they will still charge you another ~20 pesos per 1,000 transaction, but you can at least get more money!
The hotel was in the perfect location, close to the bus terminal. The staff was helpful and accommodating and spoke near perfect English. The room itself needs some updating, but overall it's not too bad.
The hotel has spacious rooms and bathrooms but do not have European style amenities. The stall try to be helpful with advice on getting public transport to the falls. The bus station is on the opposite side of the road which makes the necessary early start easy. Two good restaurants Colours and Aqua are opposite the hotel also, We went to the national park on the Argentinian side by public transport and this was cheap and efficient, We used Viator for a tour to the Brazilian side and Itaipu but we paid a lot of money for what was effectively a shuttle bus which wasted an hour picking people up, We discovered later that the bus for the Brazilian falls actually comes to the bus station by the hotel. The falls are really worth all the travel as the are a once in a lifetime experience. Don't forget to pack your plastic mac!
Helped print boarding passes Arranged cars for the falls And made our stay very enjoyable
Staff very attentive. Great location and awesome pool for hot days.
It seems Sheraton is the only hotel inside of the park. So for those who has the plan to stay in the Peurto Iguazu Town, Saint George is a wonderful choice. Nice staff, cosy and secured rooms, good facility and the buffet is good. They got a really nice restaurant downstairs!!! Recommend.
Putting into perspective south american hotels (which cannot be compared on a like-for-like basis to north america) this hotel was exactly what you would want and more for the price! The best part was the LOCATION! Right across from the bus station and in the central town making it easily accessible to go out for dinner, etc. The pool was also very nice after a long day of heat and walking at the falls.
Don't think if you can get a hotel with better location in this town. The bus terminal is just opposition the hotel, that you can get whatever travel services required. Staff service is good and the room is average good. Internet is the major problem to me as it is slow and unstable. Don't expect much for the restaurant though it is popular to tourist and hotel residents. I found many good restaurants in walking distance offering good quality steak with similiar price.
My aunt and I stayed at this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. It is conveniently located right in town next to where the bus stops for the falls. There are several excellent restaurant choices right in front of the hotel as well. We got exactly what we expected from the room - comfortable but not a 5-star. It was clean, had AC, cable TV, and a basic bathroom with a standup shower, hairdryer, etc. The outdoor pool and gym were great, staff was friendly, and breakfast (free) was delicious. I'm 5 months pregnant and my aunt is in her 60s and overall this hotel suited us well!
The reception staff were very friendly and efficient, the rooms were very nice and the location couldn't be better.
1. walk to bus station connecting to Iguazu falls 2. many restaurants around 3. staff is extremely helpful, including helping to move our room twice in one night due to equipment failure.
